My daughter was diagnosed with Rhetts Syndrome, it's a rare genetic disorder which only occurs in one in 10 lakh girls and affects intelligence..... She is 28 yo today.... She is my blessing and I would not change anything despite being a single working mum and all the challenges along the way...She has made me a much better person.....My son has been my stronghold through this journey.... I understand his emotions towards his special needs girls.... I know it may be difficult to understand but we parents with special needs kids are highly favored....

I have had polio at the age of 6 months- the vaccine which was administered was expired as there was no electricity and teh fridge didn't work in teh small town I was born , doesn't stop my day to day activity in any way but gives a limp as the right foot is shorter by half an inch - Till the time I had not noticed any other people in life who had any kind of 'disability' i use to feel bad "Why me" but once when my parents took me for treatment to a place where I saw everybody had real actual problems living day to day life - that was teh day I change the attitude of complain with gratitude and promised myself that I am not going to claim any benefit for 'disables' because I am not - I don't deserve it ! ! The man I was married to also had a similar issue and his family kept denying it to everyone even to him - this resulted in so much complex that it affected teh whole personality and life - As parents /carers its important to 'acknowledge' the challenges and deal with it - Attitude is everything !!

    Sir, 🙏
In India, we lack facilities for Differently Abled children.
Training for the employees working in such institutions are lesser when compared to the employees working in a normal school.
Choosing a teacher profession, I got trained during for these at Covid, paying from my pocket, it is difficult to get one such position to serve in Bengaluru because there are LESSER numbered schools and if one is found, it'll be far off to commute on a daily basis.
And most schools around say they've inclusivity but they lack facilities for gifted but yet differently abled children. Adding to it, multiple factors are being considered for teacher recruitment too both in private and government schools and it's different in different state, despite the NEP is in effect.
I would like to say that the Educators need to be trained compulsorily in this field irrespective of their electives in their studies of Bachelors in Education.
Thanks for sharing your journey on this platform.

Why it took so long for india to show rage and anger after Nirbhaya. Everyday women and children are molested and raped in india but where is the outrage for other victims, why are we doing selective outrage, last time it was during nirbhaya and after that india went into sleep mode. It seems like the last rape in india happen in 2012 and the next rape incident happen this year. Before hating anyone i think its important to self introspect and how we as a society failed even to demand justice and to stand with other rape victims.
