I"m going to consider this to be true because I have been taking 2X1000 mgs of metformin for over 25 years for type 2 diabetes. No negative side effects, no liver or kidney damage, vitamin B-12 level is normal.....and metformin is cheap. I have no proof that metformin can extend my lifespan, but I am 78 now, 79 in a couple of months and that is 5 years older than the second longest lived person in my immediate family. The best thing is, metformin has allowed me to eat at least some of what I like, while still maintaining my A1C in the normal range for a non-diabetic. Highly recommended by me, and there is IMO, a huge pile of BS being spread on the internet about metformin, and it being harmful..........
Update, I'm 80 now and still taking 2X1000mgs of metformin daily. No problems, B-12 level (recently taken) still in middle of desired range. Kidneys are fine, and I still get the metformin free with my insurance. I don't plan to stop taking it because I think I am having a side effect, it appears that side effect is.......longevity. That is a side effect I can live with...
agree. unless a patient has had heart disease . and i found a dr. on here that said it even is great for NAFLD Myson was born with it as his dad was in VN and had agent orange!
In AGE LATER he doesnt say how many mgs he takes...should be more specific. I digress...Hypoxic training (the Buteyko technique), offers HUGE benefits. It boosts red blood cells, allowing you to carry more oxygen and produce more energy with each breath. It is ANTI AGING!
man ive been in it 4 days and took Phillips milk magnesium for constipatation and og my i believe between both they hit me and I've been in the bathroom all day. wooooo🙊💯

Metformin is proven to provide results, unfortunately sometimes the message gets lost through the internet.
Thanks for sharing real experience with metformin

I don't mind being chronologically old, I just don't want to LOOK old.
That's fair
..or feel old!
This is very old news I read this in the book Life Extension 45 years ago by Derk Pearson and Sandy Shaw .
They mentioned metformin?
Thanks so much for important information and gadbles 🤩
What about Rapamycin? Peter Attia takes it.
Whats the recommended dosage?
1,500 mg/d which alas, I can't tolerate. I'm on 500/d.
There really should be a spokesperson who answers our questions.
I wonder what dosage he's taking for prevention...
That is a great question.
Didn't he say 1500mgs ? I take 500mgs.
@@NikoHL Any noticeable effects with the low dosage?
He says 1500mg
@@johntillett4259 I take 500mg only when i eat a large meal...dont know if that makes a difference
I only take 500mg a day bc of constipation and lack of appetite. Is this enough?
I have stopped taking it.😮
Metformin can be easily obtained online..
do we have any further update on this trial
Interesting video
Indeed it is!
Please someone ask dr Nir if 500mg/day is adequate for anti-aging... bc due to miserable side effects, I can't take higher dose...thanks a lot!
David Sinclair says YES, and i hope to hell he is right bc i have metabolic dysfunctions and in my 70s.
This topic and comments are the exact information from Dr. David Sinclair book
Yes, we reference his book a lot!
They work together.

Good news ever...😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘
For sure!
I cannot believe the comments about veganism, get up to date with the science
5:55 I believe aging does not happen to jellyfishes
METFORMIN made me constipated. 😅
Opposite of the most common side effect of metformin, but that can certainly happen.......
It can definitely happen and we are sorry to hear that!
Take enough magnesium in the evening and you won’t have a problem
Because of other medications I have had diarrhea for almost a year. A little constipation would be a relief.

What do u mean "safe drug"?? No drug with this many side effects is safe...worst being Alzheimer's risk😮
I never knew Metformin posed an Alzheimer’s risk 😮
@@HaMashiachSaves I didn't before I found out...maybe not true. Lots of things they say aren't true.
@@robynhope219I have taken Rapamycin for over three years now. I’ll look more into whether adding Metformin would be of added benefited 🤓
He sounds south african, but ik he is from israel.
Don't do it plz do your research...
