    David Sinclair is a man who claims his ‘biological age’ is 10 years less than his actual age of 53. The Harvard Geneticist is a leader in longevity science. Watch him in a riveting conversation with Kalli Purie, Vice Chairperson, India Today Group at the #IndiaTodayConclave. The two discuss the formula to look younger, how healthy sugar is for you, whether fruits are a good substitute for sugar, the newly-researched stress-busting food, the benefits of red wine and the magic of metformin.

    I am 78yrs old and in phenomenal health and no-one can believe i am almost 80. I was born in Australia and have lived most of my life in California. I take no medications at all, have not been sick but a few days in my life and even after playing rugby for many years and working in the construction industry all my life i have no physical ailments and it is all due to what David Sinclair advocates. i have been called a heath food nut, which i take as a complemental all my life, and really admire Davids research and his spreading the word. He is so very lucky to have found a partner who advocates the karma and spiritual side of life, I'm sure you 2 makes a great team. PS. I am in the midst of a 7 day fast as I write this.

I am in my 3rd year of intermittent fasting in its most extreme form, OMAD, (inspired by David and others), my weight is exactly as in my early 20s, feel pretty good for my age - nobody believes me when they get to know my age. Started recently niacin plus Omega 3 plus D3 + K2, planning for nmn, resveratrol and metformin.

    • @dlg5485
      @dlg5485 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Consider berberine instead of metformin. It's a plant derived supplement that is considered to be the natural metformin because it produces similar benefits with none of the side effects. You might also consider regular old niacin instead of NMN. Both are forms of vitamin B3 but niacin is cheap, widely available and just as effective as NMN. Niacin does cause temporary skin flushing which is harmless but can be uncomfortable, so it's best taken with food to diminish the flushing.

    I do “one meal a day” since past 10 months and haven’t felt better! Lost 13 kilos in first few months and stayed there since (I weigh as much as I did 22 years back 😅). I fast 23 hours a day (only green tea, and 1 black coffee in the mornings), every single day (sometimes I do cheat on weekends when I end up having breakfast with the family) and I stay away from carbs (rice, wheat, pasta, bread etc). Lots of green stuff, avocado, eggs and occasional salmon. And between 10-15 KM of something (run or walk or bike) everyday keeps things in balance…

      @@crukih7527 I've also heard 1,000 years, based on the death rate of 20-year-olds, which is 0.6 per 1,000 per year.
      It's a tangent, but regarding the very low mortality of people that age: I get the appeal of the 'dying teenager' trope in sicklit, as it resonates with the hormonal, rapidly developing adolescent mind. But it's been so overdone by now (thanks a lot, John Green), that it's getting ridiculous. If you watch all those movies you get the impression that teens are dropping dead left and right from cancer.
      Cancer is the disease of choice for teen dramas, because it is a slow and wasting disease and there's lots of time for angst and soul-searching. But the reality is that by far the highest cause of death for teens is accidents, half of those, car crashes. Cancer is #2, but it's way lower. But where's the drama in a protagonist who dies in the first five minutes? Lol
      I felt the genre had jumped the shark at least for awhile after _another_ dying teenager movie where they had a very rare genetic disease had me rolling my eyes. So you feel you've done cancer to death in an age group with an actually miniscule death rate from cancer and well-publicized, ever-improving treatments, so you're moving on to even rarer diseases. Wonder what they'll do next.

    Hindus culture is for all humanities peace and happiness. they are designed the mechanism how human's should live for long term perspective.

      How do you stabilise the NMN and maintain its shelf life since it degrades pretty quickly into Nicotinamide

    • @decodeage
      @decodeage ปีที่แล้ว

      @@akshaytakkar6747 Hello Akshay to improve the stability of NMN internally, researchers creatively developed a new NMN with an orderly and compact microscopic arrangement(length: 3㎛-10㎛), and exclusively launched a new generation of high-density NMN. Compared with the sawtooth structure of first-generation NMN product (length: 9㎛-25㎛), the second generation NMN has two incomparable advantages:
      1) Stronger stability, longer shelf life.
      Higher density, more stable dosage, and flexible formulation.
      2) Well-controlled pH, water content.
      NMN Uthever is made with the second generation method and that give a higher and better stability.

    Very helpful information. Best wishes to Dr. Sinclair and Mrs. Sinclair. I actually also feel that when we think positive thoughts and for the welfare of others and start sharing our good will we can boost our health as well. I also think that it's more important to live a more meaningful life instead of aspiring to leave longer. And of course I don't feel the need to look younger since I'm not in the film industry which is full of people who maybe look younger and more beautiful but have minds that simply hate the old and the ugly and are blinded by vanity. I like to be in a more spiritual realm and don't want my mind to get younger because I'm much happier now as I've aged and become more mature and the fact that I have more compassion and empathy now and that gives me bliss which I never felt before. So if all these things making my body younger will also reverse my mind to make it as immature as it was 20 years back then I just don't want it... My body is only the vehicle for my soul as our GMCKS says...
