Did I not see them or did you not put any spikes? Jw, imo they're very useful. A couple rows of wood spike traps around your base and a secondary wall just inside those spikes to separate any stragglers from your inner perimeter and to keep them standing on top of the spikes taking damage can go a long way to thinning them out and then you could use the base you have more easily and not get so swarmed. Fully recommend using a current existing house with a land claim block for the first couple blood moons while you work on your permanent home somewhere else until it's ready to move in. That's what I'm doing. I put spikes around a house, fixed it up, reinforced some walls, figured out what way the zombies would come in, planted spikes along their path in the house, built a barricade with circular hole square blocks & a door so I could shoot zombies coming up the stairs and in the door upstairs while staying safe behind and reinforced the floor below where I stood so they couldn't knock it out. I thought your first moon went pretty well though even if I think you may wanna move out before the next moon lol.

I did not used spikes but can use them in my next series for sure.
I never thought of it because I never use spikes normally XD
I had limited time and resources to build a bulky base but I will mix things up next time.
Normally I use a catwalk base with a pit beneath but wanted to mix things up to keep it interesting.
Thanks for reminding me that there is more then just building blocks XD
