From what I’ve seen from a lot of footage online, a GoPro hero 9 delivers a better picture. So I think due to the toughness of FPV it’s a better route. Would love a DJI FPV vs Hero 9 camera comparison.
Yeah whenever there's a highlight in the shot, all the shadows get crushed. or they're really blotchy with no detail. This is just a stab, but It's probably not even on par with a GPH7 or 8 either in terms of DR. I bet you someone 3D prints a mount to the hardshell and puts an Osmo Action or GPH9 on it.

It's a world of difference, color in the snow, blueish tint, sunset is orange and there is orange in the reflections in the water, there is highlight drop off with color. The DJI the sunset is completely blown out. The DJI looks like 8 stops of DR. =(
If I can make a suggestion, rather than uncooked rice, use crystal cat litter. Crystal cat litter is silica gel which is what desiccant packs and air dryers are filled with. Absorbs moisture better than any other media that I'm aware of

You can build a stabilzer recording device with a fpv fc by recording the data logging then stabilize the dji fpv recorded footy to get that reel steady smooth feel
I think what makes FPV so unique is that it requires a lot more skill than a regular drone. Now granted this is probably much easier to fly than a regular FPV, I don't know how I feel about average consumers flying FPV drones and trying to emulate shots that experienced FPV flyers can easily do

So this is in Patagonia, because you drove somewhere with snow that allows you to legally fly FPV drones 😉. Oh, and the Canadian flag was added in post! I have no story for how you did it during the pandemic though.
On a normal FPV Drone you could also setup something like a panic button just assign a switch from your remote controller to switch the drone from acro in to stabilized mode. That’s what I did
I think u under rate the video.there is a setting to optically warp out the blades in the headset and at 4k 60 or 50 it looks crisp and smoothj.ive been flying it abit and i think the video quality is pretty much on par with the latest gopro.that being said,any video u upload to social media platforms is compressed and re-encoded to the platforms spec.all in all.its a fantastic bit of kit.if u have never flown fpv before i strongly recommend 'NOT' flying in manual mode until u have fully completed the accompanying simulator/game,and i mean fully finishing it,as in gettin no1 times in every time trial and once you have done that go ahead and use free flight mode in the sim and spend an hour or 2 just flying around and practicing what you have learnt.good review guys anyway.nice one.
hey bro @matti you dont have to crop the footage i have seen another tutorial where they tell you that you can press some buttons, so you see the proppellers in the goggles for a better flying expericiene. But when you recording de drone doenst record the proppellers . have a nice day ! peace!
