  • Panhard rod bushes replacement on a Land Rover Defender. This can also help fix a steering wobble issue. Replacing the panhard rod bushes is part of the maintenance of our Land Rover Defender and we chose to replace bushes for Superpro bushes.

    Good lord, I've got chassis envy. I think that's the cleanest under cartridge I've ever seen. Mine 110 is mostly orange/red 😂

      yes, I don't think any of my Defenders were that clean when I bought them new from the dealer!

    I liked using the jack to lift the axle. By the way, you have the same electric screwdriver as me.

    Awesome video mate!!!
    Quick question? I’ve got the full set of terrafirma panhard/ track rod/drag link as an upgrade to my Disco. I see you swapped your panhard rod without lifting the truck on jack stands! Can it be done with or without at this point?
    Cheers!

    Hi I tried poly bushes in my Range Rover classic very disappointed with them I only use OEM bushes now. Hopefully you get a good run out of yours.

      Thanks for sharing! We were also a little disappointed with the Polybush bushes. We'll see how the superpro ones go. If not satisfied we'll also go back to OEM ones. Heard they aren't as good as before, what do you think about it?

    My steering wheel sometimes vibrates at around 100kph. That when I know when its time to rotation my mud tyres. Not needed to change any bushes yet.

      I would get your wheels checked for dynamic & static balance first if it always vibrates at that speed

      @offtrackfamily  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can be that or something else. We made a video with a check list for steering wobble issues. Might want to check it out before replacing anything :)

      definitely, my motto is start with easy check simple first then go for the expensive options lol

    It's strange, my old defender from years ago used to eat panhard rod bushes for breakfast. By far, the stock bushes were much longer lasting. Trouble is, these days the stock bushes available are all cheap copies and not as good as OEM so I hear?

      Will see how the superpro ones go :)

      @@offtrackfamily I’m sure they will be fine. I have a set to go on mine, but not fitting yet as I may upgrade my panhard rod? If I leave the stock bushes in the old one I can sell it on. It’s all pretty and painted of course.

    Nice video. It wasn't obvious why you were replacing them - I couldn't see any obvious problem with the existing bushes.

      We had a wobble in the steering wheel which stopped after replacing our old bushes. They were really hard and oval
