Land Rover Defender 90 Panard Rod Arm Replacement

Hello all
In this video I replace the front panhard rod (part number RBI500020)on my 1996 Land Rover Defender 90 truck cab 300 Tdi.
The Defender failed it's MoT on excessive play in the front axle. One of the bushes in the panhard rod (which locates the axle) was badly worn so I decided to replace the whole rod. This is much easier than replacing the bushes if like me you do not have a hydraulic press.

Replacing the entire rod was definitely the right choice. Still not an expensive part and saves all the hassle of putting in the new bushes

Agreed! I'm glad that I listened to the advice from the parts company otherwise I'd probably still be trying to get the old bushes out now :-)
