I have the scarce UK 2019 steel wheel SZ4, no Sat Nav etc. Would not suit any couple over 11 stone / 5ft 10''. Am 70yrs old and drove Reliant Regals on my motorcycle licence. The Jimny is luxury motoring! There are ways of assesing what makes a cool car - start with the New / retro Jimny. It is not about money. Credit to Southhampton Suzuki who sold it me a RRP.
Can someone explain me (PLZ) how does the little and economic Jimny not meet the CO2 standards and others twice as big and heavy SUVs with larger consumption does? This is one of the CO2 politics aspect I don't manage to understand. We could also ask why they had to cut 10HP from Swift Sport, when the golf GTI can have 245HP and 149g/km and 167 g/km (WLTP)
Suzuki didn't want to pay the EU fleet emissions fine. Each passenger Jimny sold in the EU was effectively costing them £8,000 as a share of the fine. Other manufacturers either pay the fine or have enough EVs and plug-in hybrids (which no-one actually plugs in) to meet the target.
Thank you for your answer:) Only all this stuff makes me think only Suzuki plays it by the rules. Reminds me somehow on dieselgate affair.@@rogercantwell3622

So I take it that Europe isnt getting the 5 door Jimny hybrid with the k15c engine?
I don't think so - think we have to wait for the updated version that's fully electric in 2024
