I don't think there's really a rule on how you should eat your food as long as you're enjoying it. I'm just glad that mikey enjoyed eating alot of our food here in the phils it makes me proud 😍

That is a misconception. Some food has rules to follow when you eat it to appreciate more its authentic taste. Kare kare, for example, should go with shrimp paste and nothing else.

I’ve had Kare-Kare, and it’s one of my favorite Filipino dishes!!! It is usually cooked with oxtail! I’ve never had Bulalo, but from what I hear from people who have had it, it is the best beef soup ever! My understanding is that a cow’s leg is slowly cooked for 10+ hours until it is falling off the bone! The broth is just ridiculously good!!! My uncle would take 2 days to make this dish!!! Prepping in the morning and start the cooking in the afternoon. Slow cooking it overnight!!! By late lunch or early dinner the following day, the soup would be ready!!! ☮️🖖🏽

It's normal for us westerners because Filipino meals, though, cheap they come in small servings, prepared for petite physique like asians. I'd have 3 combo meals in jollibee to fill up my tummy or 3 or 4 dishes in a restaurant. Our bone densities are heavier than Asians and we flex our muscles harder than asians so our calories requirement is higher😁

A few weeks later, I remembered that you made a food vlog in Tagaytay. Eventually, I pieced the two things together and realized I went to the SAME restaurant you went to. Not only that, but I actually sat at the SAME table!! Haha! I was there! Can't believe it took me that long to realize it!* 😂
Btw, that bulalo place is really good. Aesthetic wise, the place could do better but you can get quality bulalo for a fraction of the price you'd get at other restaurants nearby.
