Awesome video man!! It’s good seeing people teach their kids how to work on vehicles because now a days I see people struggle with putting air in the tires

It’s awesome that you have your daughter do the work. Even if kids never work on their own cars it’s important to know how things work.

You're suppose to add grease on several contact points to help the pads slide on the brake hardware. The back of the pad, the two side tabs on the pad where the pad touches the brake hardware.

Thank you! Especially for mentioning the wind back tool. I knew I needed it but I couldn’t remember what it was called 😂

Alyssa Abbott needle nose pliers work too. Gotta press in pretty hard when you turn but no need for the special tool or c-clamp

Good video - one concern. It look like the car was sitting on the hydaulic jack, and was not supported by a jack stand.

I've been researching this and have read and watched a few videos. It's been suggested that he rear piston needs to be aligned in a certain way when winded back down. But the exact alignment is not clear, perhaps it's more obvious once the parts are seen though it is hidden out of sight being on the inside. I was hoping you would address what you thought caused the outer most pad to get stuck and wear down faster.

Some time you need to grind down the little nipples on the pad to fit right so they move freely.

About to do replace rear pads and rotors on my 2015 MAZDA 3.... Did you guys replace the clips (Didn't show that in video) with new ones or just use the old ones?
    Thank You

Old one. But if tour brakes come with new ones put them on.

hey keven, I have a 2015 Mazda 3 but I can't find anything on the front brakes, I've seen it on a roter replacement where he took off the rotors and then mentioned "and this is how the fronts go. it looks lke all you have to do is undo one bolt and it flips up,is that correct. the video was great did myself after watching save 500.00.thanks, Joe
