    Had a friend who's friend died in a walk in installing a beer system. It was a small walk in his CO2 displaced the O2 while he was working. The customer came in to check on him and he had died. Be careful in those boxes out there fellas. Always work with the doors open. If you can't just remember to take breaks and get some fresh air.

      Exactly. It was really scary. Luckily we didn’t get sick. Or die.

      Wow, thanks for the tip I've been working on walk-ins for 22 years and never even thought of that being an issue. I did hear of a guy freezing to death in one but never dying from CO2 poisoning or lack of oxygen.

    I had a screen plugged up on Monday, got to love people that don't use nitrogen and wonder why it happens. I love my spin swage, it sure makes it easy. Great video Rookie!

    In norway you are not allowed to refill a unit before the leeks are found and fixed....

    you cant go by the supply air temp coming out of the honeycomb vents to say the box temp is too cold...supply air is going to be colder than the box temp is...best place to take a temp reading is in the middle of the box away from any airflow

    • @rookierefrigeration4357
      @rookierefrigeration4357  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      kingofthecrease30 all sensors are reading DA temp

    • @kingofthecrease30
      @kingofthecrease30 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rookierefrigeration4357 i meant when you put that pocket thermometer on the honeycomb vent and said the box was running too cold

    Stay safe out there and good repair. Not to bust your balls but thats not a king valve. Only a valve on a Receiver in an Ammonia refrigeration system is called a king valve because it stops everything.

    • @rookierefrigeration4357
      @rookierefrigeration4357  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It’s a king valve.

    • @briankobes8208
      @briankobes8208 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A king valve is any service valve in the outlet of the receiver. They aren’t just on ammonia systems..

    Hey man I love your videos but your using that h10 all wrong bro not using half the potential it has. Gotta warm it up on auto and touch the probe to the calibration bottle and it should flash into red and come back down then you switch it manual and ramp it up to 3 beeps a second or so. Mine can smell the calibration bottle without even touching it. Just food for thought keep up the good work.

    • @rookierefrigeration4357
      @rookierefrigeration4357  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ll try that. I always just use out on auto. Lol. Thanks for the advice

    Wear a mask 😷 whenever you’re brazing inside a walk in . I wear one of those masks painters use in automotive .
