      Thanks James I appreciate that, it's important to hear from my viewers because until you get really big the comments are the only type of valuable compensation you get. There's a lot of controversy over making these videos that I deal with. Sometimes it just doesn't seem worth it.👍👍

    Your money on that, there are different ways to diagnose issues but seems to me you did the proper method. I always find it difficult to where to locate the bulb on those small coolers like yours the solder joints are in the way right before the trap. I've been in the field for over 35 years and now retired, starting to make my own videos to help others. Unfortunately I'm disabled and can no longer do field work. Good luck to you and I'll subscribe

    Pound Ounze PSI etc is not a problem to convert to Industrial from Imperial (english/american).
    But what is a ton from english ? We have also tons in Europe and 1 ton means 1000 Kg or 2205 Pounds of weight.
    If you talk about a 15 ton system it has 33075 Pounds of weight for me at 3-6 Square Meter and i can not see
    the mechanical Structure to carry this things on a weak roof. So what is meant of tons in america for klimate systems ?

    • @HVACRSurvival

They are the most efficient way to regulate. I am not a HVACR but an industrial engineer and have learned a lot from you.

    Sporlan valves I start at 2.5 turns out. Medium temp on parallel racks get 6*-8*F coil SH; 1 on 1's I try for same SH but minimum compressor SH overrides that.

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      2.5 turns sounds interesting, I usually rush the adjustment and then spend forever getting it where I want it I didn't have as much time as I wanted to tune it in as I wanted because the customer was worried about cost. And as you mentioned, I was already to low on my company superheat.

    Thank you for this great information about txv and s valve, I have a question about a walk in cooler that has three evaporators coils and in exh one there is a txv , r 22 , low pressure is about 25 , high side 220 psi , the suction line is frosted all the time ,i replaced the filter drier and pulled 200psi nitrogen and deep vacum but after all that the problem continue, and I dont know which one of the txv is bad or the or restrected , do you recommend mento replace the 3 valve or just the power head of the three valve thanks you for you support

    • @HVACRSurvival

      Clarify for me what you have. You have 3 coils and 3 txvs?

    • @rahmanyalshugaa3556

      Yes 3 coils and 3 txv

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rahmanyalshugaa3556 check the superheat of each txv and see if they are truly flooding back to the compressor. Then do a superheat at the compressor last, you should have 8-10* at each of the txvs and at least 20* at the compressor. Then go from there.

    10 F superheat I usually hear its 3.5 to 4f superheat at the evaporator for walk in cooler and freezer ?

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      6-8 for freezer, 8-10 for coolers from what I've read from HeatCraft. If you get the S.H. to low and you might have problems as the outdoor temps change. ***Also don't forget the compressor manufacturer generally wants 20* at the compressor min. and that overrides the TXV. But this isn't a perfect world. This customer didn't want to spend a lot of money on this after all the covid-19 crap.

    Do you really think insulating the bulb makes a difference? I feel like it doesn’t

    • @throttlebottle5906
      @throttlebottle5906 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes, because too much heat loss/gain from air flowing over and condensation, which could make it react too slow and/or read wrong from condensation evaporation or lack there of.
      there's a reason why they insulated them to the pipe years ago ;) also in other coolers sometimes it's possible to get product shoved against them and that will whack them out for sure!

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it will be more accurate with it than without it so I try to follow industry standards to cover my butt against callbacks. Will it work without it? probably but there is always a possibility it might cause a weird random issue.
