- In this video I do a side by side trim comparison of the 2023 Hyundai Palisade XRT, SEL Premium, and Limited. The Palisade received a refresh for 2023, which added equipment to all trims and made more equipment standard on each trim. The Palisade remains very popular in the segment among family shoppers. With several features available on the SEL Premium that were formerly on the Limited, I believe the SEL Premium is the best bang for the buck in the lineup. Love the overview to help with choosing trims. I am looking at Palisades for their towing ability. I also happen to like bench middle seats since the rear seats will be down most all the time. It’s aggravating to me to always get captain’s chairs with upper trims.
I was having a really hard time deciding between the Palisade or the Telluride. But after seeing this I’m choosing the XRT!!!

I bought a 23 SEL premium awd steel granite and grey interior 7 seater the exact one you featured in the video in November last year. Was lucky to get it 3 weeks before the original delivery date with no crazy markups. Love that car and everything about it. Originally ordered the XRT but after driving the SEL premium we were sold on it and changed the order. It’s pretty much a limited in my book without the limited price range. Great value, my wife loves it I love it more haha where I always find an excuse to drive it.
That's awesome to hear! It should be cool if Hyundai offered the XRT trim with the same equipment as the SEL Premium. I do like some of the design elements on the XRT but it's so hard to argue with the SEL Premium value.
@@CarsMadeSimple I agree 100% if they would have had those same options with the xrt as well I would have kept my original order. But I'm pleased with my purchase.
I am in OK and I paid $500 on 6/3/2023 to guarentee my SEL premium (they made me choose between blue and black and I picked the blue one). 2 days after they told me the blue was sold and my husband did not want the black one at that time. Almost a month later, they never got me the SEL premium with the 7 seats and I am fighting with them to get my money back. We finally got the XRT (guess what? black!!!) last night with another dealer, but I am super sad because I loved the features of the SEL premium and I regret to have accepted to get the XRT :( I think the dealer was lying anyway because they were "selling" me the SEL premium for the same price than the XRT.

I just traded my Hyundai Elantra NLine 2022 for the XRT for room space from my family and my dogs, best vehicle ever, I will miss my Elantra but I love the Palisade great room space.

Great video - just one question - Is the 360 surround view on the Sel Premium or only on the Limited?
The SEL Premium (and higher) has the Surround View Monitor with Blind View Monitor
Nice comparison. I would argue that the Calligraphy trim offers the best value if you're interested in the luxury and class leading/ class exclusive features. To me, the Limited trim makes the least sense.
I see your point. I agree that the Calligraphy is very popular for a reason and it's because of the value vs the features/luxury it offers in this class of vehicle. I like the SEL Premium due to the pricing advantage vs the upper trims and the features you gain vs the lower trims.

Anyone know when Hyundai is planning on making more vehicles? Every lot is empty, yet every Ford and Chevy lot is full. Not paying some BS market adjustment fee for a fake shortage.

Which telluride trim would be comparable to the sel premium trim of the palisade ? For the palisade that seems like the best value. Not sure which telluride trim is comparable to it though.
It's very hard to give you an exact trim because both companies package their vehicles differently. The SEL Premium equivalent would be between the Telluride SX and SX-P.

I like the SEL Premium just because it offers a lot of the equipment that used to be exclusive to the Limited or higher at a slightly lower price. The H-Tex Leatherette is also very soft. You can't go wrong with any Palisade however as they all offer great value for the money.

Which trim level has the color changing lights. I wish the sel had the panoramic roof. We test drove the calligraphy i loved her. Keep getting mixed reveiws of it being a horrible car.
For 2023, only the Calligraphy. For 2024, the Limited and Calligraphy has the color ambient interior lighting.
Too much trim in us. It must be quite confusing. We only have 2 trims here. All with black grille
It's not too bad as long as you spend a little time researching the differences!
I thought the XRT was the only model that came w the black grill.
Nope! Just unique front and rear bumper designs. Everything minus the Calligraphy have the same overall grille design.

The XRT is ok..it’s nice. It doesn’t come with some of the options

What palisades have bench 2nd row
SE comes only in 8 passenger and SEL Premium comes in both 7 or 8 Passenger.
So I. Guessing a car with bench seat is called an 8 seat

Sorry, but this comparison was really confusing as I could not follow the differences between the Palisade versions very well. You could have simplified and started the video what they all have in common and then discuss the differences. Thx
The way the Hyundai lineup works is that all trims build upon one another. So everything found on the XRT (Minus appearance) will be found on the SEL Premium and higher. Sometimes options are replaced with better options such as standard sunroof with panoramic, etc. If you familiarize yourself with the SEL package 12:17 then the rest will have all those features plus the ones I mentioned.
