Better crash test results (most notably side-impact protection) than body-on-frame midsize trucks in this Santa Cruz, the Ford Maverick, and the Honda Ridgeline.
Wouldnt want that Dual Clutch in a truck. Sorento is one thing to zip kids around, pack some sports gear or vacation but this is not a truck transmission.
I’ve seen these around town. For the novice entry level truck like model, I guess it’s okay, but someone coming from a full size truck, just can’t do it.
In the Santa Cruz FB groups I’m in there are quite a few of full size truck owners that have gone to the Santa Cruz. Common reason, the Santa Cruz can do all the trucks things they need to do, but at better MPG, ease of maneuverability and ride quality.
I would more say hyundai's tremor since toyota does not have a conpact pickup as yet and+the maverick is the only other competitor and obviously it is from ford
Tucson can't tow 5,000 pounds, doesn't have an open bed and can't carry 1,400 to 1,700 pounds...in an open truck bed with a lower trunk. Try to keep up.
Ford built uni-body trucks without a frame over 60 years ago. U lose. How many cars tow 5,000 pounds and carry 3/4 tons in an open bed? None. U lose again. Coil springs on a truck? Ram uses those. Once again, U lose.
Why are the hvac controls on a screen? Just use buttons. No need to reinvent it
It's better like this.
@@AlexAlex-gs1xhno, it is not. Buttons are always superior.
@TheDiameter no it's better just learn where it is.
The only way you can turn on the headlights in the GMC Canyon is on the touch screen - only bad thing I can say about the truck so far!
The touch screen crap is out of control 😢
Ben has it ever happened to u that you are filming a car review and a customer comes to see that particular car or buy it and u had to stop?

I may be wrong, but I wouldn't trust a DCT from Hyundai.
Just buy one already Hardy‼️😂 You review these all day. It’s time 👍
What about the belt driven transmission?
Hyundai built a cute little truck love it it's cute
Not bad at all. Kinda pricey but not crazy. Hope it has a spare somewhere.
It does, under the bed, at the rear.
This model is not sold in South Korea. I envy the American people
i’d be all over this if had no turbo and no dct
The SE and SEL don't have turbo or DCT transmission in Santa Cruz.
2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz XRT 2.5T HTRAC AWD Crew Cab 4X4!
Compared with David Kia Seltos

I kind of like this thing. But I'd get a ridgeline over it in this segment.
You'd be getting less and the Ridgeline is a KAREN vehicle. I love my Santa Cruz, this thing is a beast in the mountains of North Georgia...
One of my neighbors traded his LaFerrari in for one.

We have the trx at home meme
$40,000 ??
TRD Pro? C’mon man. This less capable than a Bronco Sport.
TRD Pro😂😅😂😅.
Dual clutch 4 banger turbo ? Nope
I say yes!!
Ben,….please..! Slow down your voiceovers. You speak way too fast and you slur your words. So hard to understand
Yah, a Tuscon with less rear seat and storage room! Just what no one asked for.

Lmfao nothing like a TRD Pro this is as lame of a vehicle as it comes
Ok so?, did Toyota give you a free TRD for kiss their ass??
@ let me guess you own a hyundai cause they approved your loan lol
Two different vehicles "(KAREN)"
It’s not a truck. A truck has a full frame. It’s a car with an open trunk. For $42k you’re better off with a jeep gladiator sport or sport S.
