- The Jaecoo J7 does look like a Range Rover, but can it perform like a Range Rover? We put both cars head to head through 5 “gruelling challenges”. All done in our usual offroad playground, the M4TREC. We invited our friends Leona Chin, Tincy Tan and Allyna Wong to be our judges. So which one is the better “Range Rover”? And which one do YOU prefer? Comment below.

I initially thought that the Range Rover was too much to compare with Jaecoo, but Jaecoo gave a great fight. 👏👏👏

Hahaha we were pulling our hair producing this video tbh. How to make it fun, bring awareness to Jaecoo and Land Rover’s ties in CN without disrespecting the RR. Cause that would be silly, everyone knows the RR is among the best off road.

I don't think nothing was wrong with the RR. It was part of the script so that the girls would 'hijack' the J7 to take it for a wild ride.

Surprised the drive shaft of Range Rover got affected when in real life it is Chery car which have drive shaft snapped clean off is a real ownership problem
Nah not so severe la haha the RR was actually fine and was even driven home, just didnt wanna risk it further. Such an expensive car

the latest Velar (facelift) has lost the 2nd screen, all basic functions control has integrated into the main screen, including climate control, leaving a blank panel on where the 2nd screen was used to be.

Actually it’s not exactly a comparison video. We just brought the RR in to bring awareness of Jaecoo and LRs ties in China.

Those 2 girls choosing Jaecoo over Range Rover on the exterior look...well if their bfs are buying without any doubt they will ask which brand is more expensive and luxurious. Hands down Range Rover will be their choice. No more which one looks better.

The Forester is the closest rival to the J7 both in terms of the AWD prowess and the price.

@@eujinpan so can we expect a review of the Forester to be underway? They are offering huge discounts on the car now - the entry spec can be had for RM142K with 6 years free service. Would like to know the pros and cons of this car and whether it's worth getting it at this price.

It can't be less reliable than a Range Rover, and no one will steal it.
That's an evoque, a baby range. But I'm quite amazed how people are easily mesmerized by gimmicks, explains why Chery sells so many cars despite axles and brakes that self dismantle.
Edit: anyway range rovers are lucky to be driven more than 100 days in a year, the rest of the time sitting in workshop

I thought it was a joint venture with Chinese state owned automaker Chery who owns 50% to allow the production of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles in mainland China.
