On at least half of my 10 air rifles the FX Chrony hung on end of barrel changes point of impact. There's no doubt about it. I have a stand for it now. It now stands alone under the barrels
You are 100% correct this is the main reason every time I am going to zeroed my scope, I remove my FX chronograph right after I achieve the fps I am looking for. This to increase the accuracy and precision of my AVA rifle depending the weight and distance of the pellet I am going to use that particular day 👍😉
I like my Redwolf HP but I don't like being outshot by my friend with an Avenger, stock lol. I'm not in denial about the gun. I'm not very happy with the cost to performance.
I just wanted to come back to add that after getting the Heli Board and resizing my pellets to 5.50 and slugs to 5.50, I'd say the resizing has done wonders for me with this gun. I shoot 26 grain Griffin Dish base like a god damn laser. I'm getting terrific results now with the 18 grain jsb at 990, and redesigns at 910 . I'm in the process of fine tuning my velocities and making my own power levels with the Heliboard which is surprisingly easy and I have to say that I finally really love this gun. It shoots the griffins so well it's almost hard to even care about pellets, but pellets are still fun for plinking and getting trigger time and I have so many from experimenting and being frustrated. You can't expect to ever compete with what the slugs offer at distance, and the pellet ammo is so inconsistent these days you can't even get the same results from tin to tin without taking the extra steps to resize, you won't get the results you are looking for. These poly barrels seem to be very size picky, but once you figure out what it likes, you will be very pleased and get what you paid for.
I hope no one get upset with me from the opinion I have about this super expensive full electronics Daystates rifles. In a few weeks more I am planning to buy a Kalibrgun cricket 2 tactical and the soon to be released new AGT Uragan gen 2 rifles both in .22 cal. I bet that any of this two high quality made in europe guns which comes with the CZ high precision barrels, can outperform this electronic rifle in accuracy, precision, consistency, reliability and shots per fill with this same JSB 18 grains pellets. Also I know a local guy who bought one of this high $$$$ electronic rifles and after making this long trip from our place here in PR to Colombia to compete in a shooting tournament there, his rifle broke down durring the middle of the competition because they are also very sensitive to different changes in weather conditions. In fact my current low budget AVA wood stock .22 cal regulated PCP rifle that I currently use with the aftermarkets Carm magazines and a few more add ones, shooting this same JSB 18 grains exact jumbo heavy’s pellets tuned with my FX chronograph to shot between 850 and 870 fps, makes even better tighter groups than those at that same distance with a also relatively low budget 3-9x50 Hawke vantage scope 😉.
You sure just pissed off the entire Daystate fanboy club :P I happen to own both a Delta Wolf .22 HP and the Red Wolf .177 HP. I would not recommend the DW to anybody, not only due to the insane pricing but simple because I´ve found it to be a severely flawed platform. It has been on the market for as long as the FX Impact M3 but have you seen it be a contender at any major competition? The Red Wolf on the other hand I've owned for 3 years and have 10k+ round through it. It never missed a beat and at 50 meters It'll consistently produce significantly tighter groups than those demonstrated in this video. I do however think that Rick is being held back by his table and rifle stand setup being less than ideal imo.
@@cfxfunder Thank you very much for your sincere response to my comment. To be quite honest with you, I don't know what model Daystate rifle this person is using as he is not a friend of mine. However I was also informed that he has had to send it in for service in previous occasions as this is not the first time he has had issues with this rifle. I have two friends that are gunsmith and both recommended me to NOT buy any of this high tech full electronic rifles because they are very difficult to repair. And for me this is very important since as I do not live in the US, if I need to send them durring their factory warranty I will have to pay around $150.00 dollars to shipped there. While If I buy any other kind of rifle any of them can be repaired here locally by them 😉.
Hello there Sir Ye I have a question as I’m in Britain Uk our standard is sub 12 foot Lbs then whin I get my FAC police fire arms certificate iv just passed my police checks for that So I’m guessing your equivalent to sub 12 is FAC as high power is the top power is that right You’re speaking to a member of the one and only true testers for Daystate as wee test and developed the ART barrel this stands for Accuracy research team our chief tester the boss of our range is best mates with Tony Belis of 35 years Wee do your barrels mainly for the US market Depends when you bought that as from the Daystate Safari Which comes with the ART barrel is now in the red wolf in fact Daystate have re-introduced the Red Wolf Midnight our latest gun Alpha Wolf went through not only the barrel the hole 9 yards was throne at it that’s why it’s so good iv just done a barrel change up to .22 what a barrel for my Delta Wolf check out our channel airgun sniper elite I’m shooting at 90 yards with the .177 barrel with the delta wolf Sub 12 Anyway nice to talk to you even though it’s been mainly from me. Take it easy see you on the next one
Thanks for the email. I don't know the age of the rifle as I literally bought it off the back of the AOA van. The serial number may be in the video. I've got a lot of work to yet do including some upgrades to the range. I plan on pouring a slab and getting a better table and rest. It's a process that many have to go through. I hope that folks will appreciate the effort to take something from normal backyard results to something far better and more consistent. At least that's my hope. As a note, reach out to the Daystate Folks and see if they want to work on a few more projects.. Cheers AGW
In fact this happens to be the same bench rest I am currently using with my AVA wood stock .22 cal rifle the Coldwell Stinger and It’s way better than my previous atlast “clone” bipod and protektor rear bag setup 👍😉

Love the rifle and it's capabilities however I will never purchase any rifle that relies on electronics to operate.
Hello there Sir
Ye I have a question as I’m in Britain Uk our standard is sub 12 foot Lbs then whin I get my FAC police fire arms certificate iv just passed my police checks for that
So I’m guessing your equivalent to sub 12 is FAC as high power is the top power is that right You’re speaking to a member of the one and only true testers for Daystate as wee test and developed the ART barrel this stands for Accuracy research team our chief tester the boss of our range is best mates with Tony Belis of 35 years Wee do your barrels mainly for the US market
Depends when you bought that as from the Daystate Safari Which comes with the ART barrel is now in the red wolf in fact Daystate have re-introduced the Red Wolf Midnight our latest gun Alpha Wolf went through not only the barrel the hole 9 yards was throne at it that’s why it’s so good iv just done a barrel change up to .22 what a barrel for my Delta Wolf check out our channel airgun sniper elite I’m shooting at 90 yards with the .177 barrel with the delta wolf Sub 12 Anyway nice to talk to you even though it’s been mainly from me. I wood have used the ColdWell Stinger far more stable
In fact this happens to be the same bench rest I am currently using with my AVA wood stock .22 cal rifle the Coldwell Stinger and It’s way better than my previous atlast “clone” bipod and protektor rear bag setup 👍😉
@@raymondmorales8252 iv got the coldwell my self plus iv seen you use your rest for stability
is it possible to convert Red wolf HP .177 to .22?
🍿🍺👍
Medium power!
Bizarre factory settings. High power over drives 18 gr and is really lacking with monsters. What on earth was daystate aiming for?
This is not the HP version of the gun. My HP version on low power shoots the 18 grain @ 1024 and the 25 redesign @ 860.
Hey,
Put a level on it?
👍🏼🐿🦝👍🏼
