Basically any nation can easily win on this map, even on very hard. With Brits you have Royal Artillery, with Americans 105 and Calliope, Panzer Elite has Hummels and Wehrmacht has Walking Stukas and Nebelwerfers.

Well, it is true that no Jagdtiger was ever destroyed or even penetrated in frontal combat. Most of them were destroyed by the air force or blown up by their own crews.

I loved the Brit commando demo charges, you could put them anywhere, and stack them ontop of each other...So much fun.

I used to play this map all the time. Me and a friend would play a 2+ hour match, 3 sometimes, against two AI players. We loved British plus American. Britain is great for setting up extremely potent defensive structures like the 17 pounder and mortars, whereas the Americans don't have to pay for their bunkers (unlike the British) and get a bonus for engineers loaded in the bunker. Both have good artillery and good armour so it would vary who goes armour and who goes artillery but that was our usual setup. I miss this game, I really want to install it again and play the same map we spent hundreds of hours on. I'm pretty sure its still in CoH 2, might be interesting to see how Russia fares on that map. The tactic was always build artillery, take out the enemy bridges, then repair our own bridges, then push when they can't retreat or reinforce their units so tanks would be rapidly killed. Repeat for all 3 areas, maybe put a bomb on each bridge so if they push us back we can blow it, and ultimately grind them down over a long period of time until we have everything and they have nothing.

This is almost a year late but the noise you were hearing was the bridge getting fixed. They we're laying asphalt(?) and everytime a the sappers put down a layer, it makes them noises. I was fascinated as a child that's why I know
I very much enjoyed this video and I'm looking forward to the next CoH videos. I used to play this game many years ago and mostly just spammed the glider planes. I remember building a ton of howitzers and using them to just bombard the enemy to hell and back. Good times...

I found & bought Tales of Valor at Goodwill around 2011-2012 & still play it to this day, in 2020.
If you go into the tactical map, im pretty sure you can see what kinds of units your triangulators are picking up.

I tried getting far east to work but i must have done something wrong cuz it doesnt start. Some error pops up and i cant find anywhere to tell me how to properly install it

@@alexanderrahl7034 far east war is really fun if you spam the field cannons for that ww1 feel of bombing the hell out everything. Their sound design is great.
You could try verifying game files on steam, reinstalling Coh and checking the modpage if you haven't already, some mods may require you to input special launch commands or w/e depending on this and that. I didn't have to for far east but did for Blitzkrieg. Far east isn't particularly demanding as far as I know but if you got a wooden pc you should lower your settings beforehand.
It might not work if you're using the legacy version though idk cause I never use it.
Idk what to tell you if you're using a non steam copy and not the workshop. If the workshop is the one not working then try it on modb for manual install.
If you're using Windows 10 then maybe it just decided to hate this particular game. It's refused to play command and conquer games for me before.
Apart from all that; make sure your drivers are up to date (I forget to all the time and then have a problem cause of it), use task manager when you launch to see if anything shoots up, disable superfetch if it spikes up (if you have it) and look up the error code as it is when it pops up. Like if says "Error 1234 file failed to validate" Google the full exact words with Coh 1 included in "Coh 1 error code 1234 blah blah blah".
That's my troubleshooting technique. If it fails then check the Coh Reddit board and stuff, if you find no one already talking about it then start a conversation about it.
Blitzkrieg imo is the bettwr coded Eaw, sadly Eaw kinda flopped after nobody updated the code, qnd will constantly crash

Valefisk got 100 kills, but the enemy had 148 losses... tf happened to the other 48 casualties? the AI didint friendly fire them, they only had 96 kills, which are accounted for with Vales casualties.
The 48 decided that fighting vale wasn't worth it and killed themselves in their bunkers

By definition the allies cannot be war criminals. You'd have to go pretty far to exceed their real life war crimes though.

That noise is the bridge getting repaired. Sounds weird like a machine gun but I guess it's supposed to be metal plates being shifted into place.

Actually the main weakness of tiger tanks ( both regular and King ) is the 17 pounder AT gun witch only the Brits have ( in the game ), the same gun mounted on the Sherman firefly.

Hey, you should revisit Dawn of War. Play as the Imperial Guard and upgrade all your infantry to be filled with grenadiers. Explosions knock back infantry, and they can't shoot back while laying on the ground. In the Dark Crusade expansion there's a mission where you need to kill a certain number of enemies before the time expires; I almost lost the first time because I ran out of enemies to kill and had to camp their base waiting for more to be built.

I used to do this, you also get a repair vehicle, so you can build a priest, destroy it, till you have a bunch of destroyed arty vehicles, then repair them all and then use them to create a 20 priests and hit the enemies with arty and set overwatch on the bridges to take out infantry. You can also blow out bridges with artillery. It is just so overpowered.
