    Agree with you, just a great pistol. I have a HK P2000SK LEM, with a Gray Guns Short Reset Trigger. Also installed Trijicon HD Night/Fiber Sights. This is not only a great trigger, but an incredible reliable carry gun. I love my Glocks and XD, but this HK is something else.

      HK is the real OG when it comes to polymer gun.

    Why do people doubt the P2000 but never question cheap Glock pistols?

    I bought a used HK P 2000 9 mm. My wife actually picked it out. I liked the gun but which it was smaller. Haven’t had a chance to check the 2000 sk model out. I like to Carry but my wife just likes guns for home defense and shooting.

    Another interesting H&K pistol. They make something for almost everyone. We can always count on you for a detailed look and talk about the good and the not-so good.

    Nice firearm! I like the way the VP9SK magazine looks, must be comfortable. Funny thing is, my friend just bought the 40cal version.

      The 15 round mag from the VP9SK makes a world of difference on how it feels and shoots. Love this little gun. As always, thank you for stopping by.

    The P2000 definitely still has a place in the CCW market. HK makes great pistols, no doubt! I used to own a similar P30SK model (as well as others) and loved everything about it--except the trigger finger pinch it gave me where the bottom of the trigger meets the "hump" in the trigger guard. Every HK model has this "feature" that makes them uncomfortable for me to shoot. Until they fix this issue, I won't be buying any others in the near future. It's sad, because I really do like everything else about their firearms.

      The P2000 actually does NOT have that 'trigger finger pinch' groove inside the trigger guard, which is one main reason I bought one despite having a P30 and P30SK already.

    On my P2000SK9mm light LEM variant I installed the Grey guns short reset, the match trigger shoe, and extended paddle mag release. The extended paddle release has a sharp edge that I feel in my middle knuckle so I may put the smaller oem one back in. I removed the right side mag release because it audibly rattles which may give it away that I’m concealing a firearm. With the rubber magazine base I can get my pinky in the grip albiet squeezed together. Some with thinner fingers may not have an issue. I do wear an XL sized Mechanix glove as a reference.

    Shot a USP .40 , and it had a 12 to 13 lb double action trigger weight also. But it was very accurate with single action.

    I enjoy your take on firearms. Serious demeanor for a serious subject. These gun tubers that think they are comedians are doing a disservice to the community, especially new shooters by minimizing the responsibilities of firearms ownership.

    Holster compatibly is my only concern in going with this over a vp9sk or p30sk

    LMAO this man didn't even bother cutting the grip tape into strips or even just cutting uniform slits in the grip tape to make it lineup with the slide cuts. It's not about looks, it's about what works. He's all about utility, he is efficient, he is an operator

    Purchased this recently since there was a crazy good deal on turner's. Haven't yet had the chance to go to the range yet so just dry firing it. I don't think I like the decocker (one more thing to remember in a SHTF situation) but racking the slide is super smooth. Great quality but probably best to go with the v2 LEM trigger version (Double action only, no decocker). Thanks for the vid!

    • @BRLaue
      @BRLaue 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The decocker is to carry it with the hammer down on a live round. Once the action starts it doesn’t come into play.

    I love HK handguns but I have never got a p2000 or 45c due to preferring the USP a little bit more. Great guns for sure though.

    I had to rewatch a few parts of this video because there were times that you making me wanna get a P2000sk instead of a P2000, but then there are a few times where you made me really certain I was just gonna get a P2000

    I carried a P2000 fs for work. I liked it. Liked it a lot. But when I went to buy one for personal use, did not like the price of magazines. I know, it's silly.I wanted the SK..

    Did you fire ammo thru the P2000SK using the VP9SK 15 round mag? Any issues? HK says only to use P2000 mags. Guessing thats policy at HK USA.

    @ramonmacias9013 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I have a 200 sk and that paddle mag release is an actual painful thing when i shoot it. It digs into my hand and rubs it raw. I have fired hundreds of different guns in 40+ years of shooting, and this has been the only gun that does that. For that reason, it is the last gun i would carry as my EDC.

      As compared to say……. a Glock?

  • @rondobrondo
    @rondobrondo 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Man I really hate to say it, but the VP9 and the VP9sk really are kinda ugly compared to the previous generations. Like, the gun is trying to appeal to too many people at the same time, and it feels like it's been overdesigned by some committee that purely makes decisions on market trends and knowing what customers want and giving it to them. Like it's got a way more stuff going on in general, but in a way that clearly favors blending the traits of other guns into one gun. Like how the grip on the hk45 and the p30 series was AMAZING and especially the texture; since it not only changes how the gun feels and how it grips completely, but it also changes how the gun LOOKS, and the new grip texture on the VP9 looks and feels so cheap and gross in comparison. And it's because they know that customers like grippy guns with good textures, but they also know that some people are pussies and the grippy grip rubs their hand too hard because they're too stupid to put on gloves once their hands start hurting.
    And then the front slide serrations + the charging handles on the back, and the optics cut, with the mid-tier paddle release and the uglier colors/finish/look of the polymer frame in general. Getting rid of all the elegant lines and shapes and intentional design focus vs. make everything rounded and make sure that sections of the gun and its parts are not as big as they should be so we can save money on materials and parts sourcing. And don't put any sharp geometry of any kind in the frame design, no sharp edges at all anywhere, everything should just be super rounded and blobby. 'Why even make the gun look beautiful rigth? Cause nobody cares if their gun is beautiful anymore, they only care about spec sheets and specifically price to value'
    And then it turns out that the old designs were better anyway and were more functional and easy to use and deliberate, i.e. the gun has strong affordances for the user -- it shows you the best way to do things by nature of its own design features and what they encourage you to do and how to use the gun, and what techniques you develop
    FYI I have a VP9
