The sound, the lighting, the photography and the car made this one of the best shots of driving I’ve ever seen. It both makes me both nostalgic of my time as a kid driving barefoot in our pastures and in lust for future car adventures.
If it is snowi then it is time to go sideways with my small car with no assistance Systems(3m long, cvt transmission, underpowered and fwd), boring on the straight but nice in corners because there is not much weight on the rear. Others getting stuck, I keep driving with it Now the front shocks getting bad, the engine has some issues and the new tires i got have unreliable traction (they have a rare size so there aren't many companies left to choose) I got with it 7 nice years, now it gets time to sell it. The new ones aren't a option because they are more expensive and have less power pared with fragile design. The old ones easily last 60-100k km, the new engines start breaking down after 10k km
Back in the day, growing up in the country, we called them "Field Cars". I remember bombing around with my buddy in his '63 Plymouth Valiant wagon.... Ah the memories...

Winter of 1987 my best friend and I were driving home from ball practice one Saturday morning in rural USA in his 1970 Chevelle. He power slid a corner, overcorrected and took out a fence post. We were fine and the car was fixable. Not the best day, but years later a fond memory.
There's a bent steel fence post on water company land next town over from me. Dad held the wheel cut on his cousins car after a tight corner and made him go off the road as a goof. Good old steel bumpers could mow stuff down. Im sure they were both half in the bag. That was in the 70's, the bent post/wire fence is still there to this day. 😂 Another one of his friends grew up on an old farm. They'd buy junk cars and demo derby them until they wouldn't run any longer, then roll them off a cliff. Years later, the family sold the land, they winched out 100+ wrecked cars. Back when you could find decent running cars for almost nothing. There were a bunch that are desirable today, muscle cars, trucks, etc. A few we all wish we had nowadays.
Put a 88 Parisienne into a ditch while out with my buddies powersliding, I got the car in 2017 for like 500$, and was 21 at the time, car was fine. But my buddies NEVER let me live that down 🤣
This brings back memories. I had a 96 Caprice with the Lt1 350 and glass pack mufflers, and I used to rip up and down the dirt roads, and leave a trail of dust as far as you could see, and then stop off at the local convenience store for a bite to eat. I felt so free back then

My brother used to whip his cutlass cerra around like this. My door wasnt shut all the way once and it flew up in a turn and i held on for my life. One of many shenanigans we had on nebraska backroads.
All the two doors are gone so we got no choice but to scoop up those four-door sedans while we still can. They also came in four-door hardtop, but good luck finding one of those for cheap.
Oh my god. I thought I was the only one that had ever done that. When I was about 21, my second car was a black 2 door '69 Chevelle with a 396 in it. I loved it. It wasn't souped up or anything, it was just cool, to me. It did have great tires on it, and it was an automatic. I didn't know as much about cars as I do now, but I had plans for that car, to purdy her up. But she was also quite solid, an absolute tank. I did take her boonie hopping with friends a few times, but mostly she was just my daily driver. But she ran great off road too. One night, we are trying g to find a kegger in the California foothills, and though we knew where we were, we lost our way in the dark. We could see the main dirt road, but a barn wire fence and a couple hundred feet stood between our way out and my car. I decided to just gun it and run through the fence. Now mind you, she wasn't cherry or anything, she had a dent or two already, and some of the black was primer. Wasn't worried about scratching her up. We busted through and finally found out way again.....but she came out with very little damage considering. Snapped that fence like it was a twine fence, didn't even hesitate. She was a beast. Sadly, several months later, I discovered she had a cracked flywheel, and being a kid yet, I didn't have the kind of money to fix it. I was so sad. I sold her, pretty cheap, and I'm sure the guy that bought her did great thing with her. But what a lot of great memories I made in that Chevelle. Including a little four-wheeling time. Loved this video, it brings it all back. Also makes me happy to know I wasn't the only person to go boonie hopping in my Chevelle. Ah, the stupidity of youth, but what good times that was 4 decades ago. ✌🏻😎
