Lori Vallow Daybell's brother Alex Cox talks with Arizona police about killing Charles Vallow

- CHANDLER, Arizona -- Police in Arizona have released gigabytes of video interviews and other documents related to their investigation into the homicide of Charles Vallow, the former husband of Lori Vallow Daybell.
The documents came Tuesday after a Grand Jury indicted Daybell in June for conspiracy to murder for the July 11, 2019 shooting death of Vallow. Daybell's brother Alex Cox initially told Chandler Arizona Police he shot and killed Vallow in self-defense, but investigators say the evidence does not support the claim.

@@islandgirlcoler7849 I had heard that, but also that Lori's sister (Melanie's mother), had eating disorders and mental problems as well as needing medication she was not taking. I guess I don't think Lori or her brother killed her sister. Somehow this is all tied to how Lori views marriages and money, and she's not a well person.
He doesn't know what Charles was saying? Funny, Tylee didn't know what Charles was saying either. May be because they haven't decided what Charles should be saying. A more likely story is Charles was ambushed and didn't have much of a chance to say anything at all.

Alex Cox was a psychopath - and a cowardly one at that. Charles Vallow may have been 10 years older than him, but he was a gifted sportsman and would have easily got the better of poison-dwarf Alex in any physical confrontation.
So in cahoots with Lori, the sister he was incestuously banging, Alex ambushed the unarmed and unsuspecting Charles when he came to take his little boy to breakfast then school. Alex shot Charles multiple times in the chest. Charles didn't stand a chance.
But incredibly, Chandler Police accepted Alex and Lori's outrageous self-defence claim, and let them go! That night they held a pool party at the house where they'd earlier murdered Charles. What the poor, confused and traumatised JJ and Tylee thought, we will never know - as they too were murdered, just 2 months later.
If the Keystone Cops had done their damn job and recognised the blatantly obvious murder of Charles Vallow, they'd have arrested and charged his killers Alex and Lori. And those innocent children (plus potentially, Tammy Daybell too, who was murdered in October), would be alive today.
Chandler Police MUST be held accountable for their disastrous handling of the doomsday cult killers. If they'd only done their jobs properly and nailed them for killing Charles', they could have prevented those three imminent murders. Chandler Police have blood on their hands.
All these people laughing two hours after the incident. What in the world?!
Right? You'd think the suspects' smiles and laughter, and total indifference to the fact Alex just shot dead a close relative in Lori's home, might ring a few alarm bells with the Keystone Cops, wouldn't you? But no - they 100% bought their 'self defence BS and let Alex and Lori go free the same day!
That same night Lori and Alex threw a pool party with the kids at her home - I wonder if they even bothered to clean up Charles' blood first? Two months later, Charles' murderers (and their accomplice Chad Daybell), killed Lori's children JJ and Tylee, and three months later, Tammy Daybell too was murdered.
Alex, otherwise known as the family hit man, also tried to kill Brandon Boudreaux, the estranged husband of Lori's niece Melani - thankfully Brandon was able to speed away, and survived. Needless to say, Brandon had a huge life insurance policy which his widow, and no doubt Lori and Alex, expected to benefit from!

Once Lori left the house, there was no reason to shoot Charles. Alex didn't wash his hands and immediately call 911. He also lied to 911 about doing CPR. Timeline doesn't make sense. Alex is cool as a cucumber and acting like he's at the comedy club. Psst, hey, cop, that other charge was a previous attack on another of Lori's husbands so red flag.
If he had time to go to his room to get the gun then he had time to just stay there and lock the door....if his life was truly being threatened then he could have just stayed in his room!

Lori was IN the house when Charles was shot; she said so in her interview. However, she claims that she didn’t directly see the shooting as she had gone around into the kitchen area because Charles and her were fighting about his cell phone and she had his phone. She said that she had only heard the gunshot(s) and then left the house to take JJ to school after Charles was shot. Tylee had gone outside prior to the shooting to check on JJ as he had been outside in the car waiting to be taken to school. Lori never mentioned that Tylee went back into the house (through the garage and into her mother’s bedroom as Tylee said in her interview) in order to get Lori’s handbag. Alex called Lori sometime later and it was only then discussed that 911 should be called.

Also why would Charles advance with a bat when he can clearly see Alex has a gun in his hand? Alex said he warned him, yet Charles comes forward anyway, as if he would be any match for trigger-happy Cox. Whole thing sickens me, that these people can pick and choose who lives and who dies.

How did Charles manage to hit Alex on the back of the head? His second story is Charles shoved him and made him spin around and then hit him on the back of the head. How does a person holding a bat push Alex enough to spin him around? Charles has a bat in one hand, so he spun Alex around with one hand? I don't think so.

1) HE SAID that Lori did not ask him to come over to protect her because she knew Charles was coming over the next morning, but in Lori's interview, SHE SAID she DID want him to be there: I trust my brother." and "
He stayed over because I was worried [Charles] was gonna come over and cause trouble with me."

2) HE SAID he did NOT call Lori after he shot Charles. In Lori's interview, she said he DID call her. She said, "
Yeah, he called me and said are you taking him to school, I said yeah you need to call the police; he said yeah."
One of them is lying. Why didn't the detectives pick this up? That's their job!
Yep, and he also said in the interview he was on the phone in the room and then upon the second half of the interview after they took pics, he said he wasn’t on the phone when the detective even said he thought he was on the phone 🤦♀️ can’t believe they didn’t do anything about it right away with all the inconsistencies

Alex and Lori were both lying. They had plotted Charles' murder, it was all a set up (as his wife, she believed she was sole beneficiary of his $1 million life insurance policy).
Lori lured her estranged husband into her home for a supposed access visit to their little boy JJ (Charles was going to take him to breakfast, and then to school). But when Charles walked through the front door to collect his son, unarmed and unsuspecting, he was met by his brother-in-law Alex, pointing a loaded gun at him. It was an ambush.
Charles didn't stand a chance. He was murdered in a hail of bullets to his chest. Forensics proved some shots were fired at him as he lay helpless on the floor! Charles had walked in all smiles, expecting to collect his child - and was carried out in a body bag. How Chandler Police could just accept his killers' BS self defence story about Charles supposedly hitting Alex with a baseball bat, and let them go free the same day, is utterly outrageous!
Charles Vallow had no history of violence whatsoever - but Alex Cox had served jail time for a vicious taser attack and threats to kill Lori's previous husband Joseph Ryan. This was history repeating! It was obvious it was Alex, not Charles, who was the aggressor.
Thanks to the Keystone Cops, those ruthless murderers (and their accomplice Chad Daybell), were free to kill Lori's children JJ and Tylee just two months later, and Chad's wife Tammy three months later. Chandler Police have blood on their hands!

I had actually heard this previously, although I’m not sure of the timing. But it has been known, proven, and reported for some time that Alex shot him the second time when Charles was already lying on the floor due to the flooring in the home.

Alex story doesn't match Lori's story as to why he was even there. He said they were going to a water park (even tho JJ was going to school?) Lori said she wanted him there because she was worried Charles might do something. Alex later denied that Lori was concerned about Charles doing something. Alex denies having medical conditions yet later he goes to Mexico to get prescriptions for some condition & later dies.
He died from pulmonary emboli, and unless he had warning signs of DVT like leg swelling, redness and pain, he’d have absolutely no warning. PE’s often precipitated be long periods of not changing positions like car rides to Mexico. And death is sudden. Do you know why he was going there? Maybe meds for someone else? I hadn’t heard.
@@kkdoc7864 it was discussed on other sites that Alex knew it was time for him to go and the newlywed Daybells sent to him a “pkg” (probably the poison given to Tammy. The marriage of Alex and Z was arranged by Chad. Her (Z) son didn’t even know Alex’s last name and Alex was his stepdad. Also, Alex had made very suspicious trips to the Middle East.
Personally, I believe they were in a cult and the children may have been sacrificed.
Alex and Lori's brother stated in a phone interview that he was known to travel to Columbia to sleep with women, that's what he normally did on his "vacation time" and was not normal to take a week off to sit at Lori's house.
Infuriating. AZ did not do the job when they murdered Charles, if they has.... J&T may still be alive today as well as Tammy. They are now just jumping on the bandwagon after the fact.

This makes no sense its obvious to anyone who has common sense that Charles ran in to grab his phone. Charles left JJ in car and he just ran in quickly to get his phone. All they had to do is give phone back. Did he leave phone in house or phone brought into house when JJ was put in car? This story doesn't add up. My guess is they took his phone from car to lure him in and ambush him. Charles knew what Alex was capable of. Charles gets there at 740 and takes 20 mins to get to school. JJ routine is BK before school another 15 to mins. This def ambush bc the intervention and Charles threaten to tell Tammy.

Chandler police are responsible for not looking into this further and seeing that Charles was murdered. They let themselves be manipulated by Chad and Lori and because of their ineptitude 3 others (2 of them children) died. The Chandler PD need to be held accountable for their part in all of this.

This was an ambush. Lori took Charles’ phone to antagonise him...and set the killing in motion.Tylee was groomed and indoctrinated enough (RIP poor soul) to bring the baseball bat into the mix. It’s obvious that their stories are all way off from each other’s. No truth. I never heard the investigator ask Alex where/what position he and Charles where when the shots were fired - nothing specific asked about the actual MURDER event. Did I miss it?
I had to laugh that they needed a flashlight to see the injury to the back of his head. Also why would they sit him so that the camera just focuses on the back of Alex? Tylee and Lori weren't both gone when the gun went off. Tylee stated that she was outside and heard the gunshot and then Lori came running out of the house. Then Lori told Tylee to go back in and get her purse. I'll bet Lori got the first shot in and Alex finished him off after they left.

In America, the authorities can only try you once for a crime. They have one shot at it. This is referred to as the double jeopardy clause. Anyone charged with a crime also has a right to a fair and speedy trial.
So....hypothetically They know he's guilty and arrest him. He claims his right to a speedy trial and demands to see a magistrate asap. Now the prosecution doesn't have time to build an airtight case against Alex and he walks free because they rushed instead of taking their time.
What police try to do is find something else they can arrest you for if they think you're all imminent threat to others. But, if he's done nothing else, they can't even do that. This is why Brian Laundrie has or had a warrant for bank card fraud instead of murder. They will add murder after an autopsy or collect more evidenceevidence. (I think they got a murder warrant on Brian because of autopsy cause of death and him having fled).

Inconsistent version of events, lack of care of concern is not enough to secure a conviction. They would lose the case and never be able to try them again, even if later discovering incontrovertible proof. They would've blown their chance. So they wait and then bring up those things in court to help justify their case.

Alex's whole story about stopping fighting and going back into the room, getting the gun then coming back in the room and shooting Charles doesn't make any sense at all. They look at his hands. They examine him, and they would know that it was not possible for him to have attempted life saving measures like he claimed. He has no blood on him. Not even his own from this supposed head strike he claims was bleeding while he travels to the room, and back to confront Charles. Then back to the kitchen to get cleaned up. Heads bleed a lot, and I would think that to be doubly so with adrenaline coursing, and your heart pounding. You can’t even see a laceration.

No one is consistent about where everyone was. Alex puts them in the living room, and Tylee purportedly did not come all the way out of her room before inserting the bat in front of Charles. She claimed to have fallen onto her side, and then she is told to go to the car. No traveling out to the living room. She still has them in the hall. Lori has them around the kitchen, and Charles body tells its own story that contradicts everything. Being shot more than one time, and while already down on the floor. Brutal. I will never not question how things might have ended if these specific LEO’s would have compared notes, or I don’t know...did anything to check that this was truly self defense. They process the scene, and they outright point out the inconsistencies on body cam. Lori probably whacked Alex with the bat, and deleted any antagonistic messages from Charlie’s phone before leaving. I would still love to know when they managed to plan this pool party.
