Or a sense of doubt that you don't deserve her. You might be simply refusing to listen to your emotions instead of trying to work through them. So as a result, they haunt you. That has happened to me before. There are just some feelings you can't run away from.

Think of it this way, even though you may not have found it yet, fining love is like finding something you lost. When you stop looking for what you lost then, allot of the time, it will show up. Generally I'm fine in my own. Just sometimes I wish there was someone I could share my life with on another level. And sometimes being single makes me sad in such moments. One was also interested and then told me our professions were too different (he knew from the beginning what I was doing, he could have thought twice about showing his interest in me) and the other one... I found that desperate people feel like they need to fill a gap in their lives to make their lives better. But, I have realized that you'll lose the need to fill that gap once you convince yourself that there isn't a gap. Once you do that - you focus on what you like to do, and what makes you happy. You become a better you - for yourself - and not someone else. And this "better you" is what a potential partner is looking for. Someone who is just generally happy with being themselves and not expecting that things (such as relationships) will go smoothly all of the time. As an additional note, don't ever fake it! If you try to pretend that you're generally happy with being yourself - and you really aren't - then lying to yourself will not make things any better. Know that these changes take time. (Doing this has helped me truly realize my self-worth.) (This is just my opinion, feel free to comment! & argue against it!)

Relationships are not just emotional. They can also be intellectual, spiritual, physical, and business relationships. Many of these other type of relationships are best if you have someone else in fact multiple people rather than just being alone. I will never be fully happy being alone, even though I like to work alone, because there are many needs that cannot be met without having someone else
After a emotionally draining 10 year relationship that ended traumatically on my end, I agree with all these. Be happy single and alone.. embrace yourself.. don’t search for anyone. I’ve mostly healed and opening up to prospect of a new relationship. With the heavy experience and through my healing process, I know what to watch out for and what I want and need in a partner. 7. You don’t want to “rescue” or “save” your new partner. I just made this mistake about a week ago. When I first met this person and asked her out, I genuinely wanted to be with her because she was this nice and funny girl. But as we went out more, she talked down on herself so much I felt that I needed to show her as much love and compassion as I could for her so that she won't feel that way anymore. I constantly reminded her that I would always be there for her to talk or be a shoulder to cry on. But in the end, she dumped me because of this. Made a big mistake thinking I was just trying to do something right for her...
If the person you were talking to had a toxic relationship at some point, she may have realized that telling someone that they can talk to you and that you will always be there to listen, may be perceived as an attempt to gather information to create emotional bonds for the sake of control. You gotta consider that before you think the rejection was personal. I find it is more useful to show people our presence in times when they us the most and remaining consistent. However, one must consider that vulnerability and loyalty must be a two way street.
I’m changing my lifestyle by getting better clothes and nice cologne and overal feeling more confident after working out a lot too. Girls are starting to stare at me now lol it’s kinda weird noticing that since they’ve mostly ignored me my entire life :)

What I think that means is that you're not so desperate that you will get into a relationship with anyone. You need to make sure that you are getting into a relationship that will be successful and beneficial. What you need to do now is try and become acquaintances, friends, so you know that you two actually enjoy being around each other. You want to make sure you like them as a person, and not just as the idea of a relationship. If you feel that your feelings are genuine, that you really want to be in a relationship, that's when you want to think about actually trying to start a relationship that means something more.
I think being in a relationship is also alot of financial responsibility because the pair need to work together to get through most situations, like the coronavirus. It doesn't matter how rich or poor a pair are, as long as the pair balance their spending and are willing to be together through tough times, I think that is what is important too.
I have dealt with most of my inner demons, I have thought I wasn’t good enough, I have thought that I needed to be better than others, and I have thought that I was responsible for how others felt. I thought that it was my fault that somebody was upset or angry or just straight up depressed. Because I thought I wasn’t helping them or that I wasn’t good enough to help them, but I’ve realized and told myself to back off when needed. although I’m not really looking into a relationship anytime soon, Psych2Go really have helped me dealt with my problems on the inside and out. You might benefit from therapy. That way you can address and work on stuff from your past WITHOUT involving your romantic partner. A partner who wants to fix you is a toxic partner, but if you're depending on your partner for your healing, you're toxic too! I've been on both sides of the coin, and it's not fair to anyone. Talk to a professional. It's hard work, but it's valuable work. 🙂
That last point makes a great deal of sense. I've recently become a psych2go watcher when i was questioning a relationship with one of my best friends. Didn't search it, these videos just popped up in my recommend section. But they really helped me see the possible paths a bf/gf situation would take and reflect on some lingering emotions. Before, i was having a lot of racing thoughts and convinced myself that my best friend was the only person in the entire world who understood me. I considered something more because i thought it would help us finally open up to each other. However, during isolation i came to realise that i shouldn't have my happiness rely on simply being in a relationship and to simply tell him how important it is that he's in my life would be enough. To have an expert opinion break down my thousands of confusing thoughts is very helpful. Thank you.😊

You have to change your perspective if you ever want to get anywhere. And yes. This change will take time and it will be very hard at first. Be patient with it and know that everyone is unique! Generally I'm fine in my own. Just sometimes I wish there was someone I could share my life with on another level. And sometimes being single makes me sad in such moments. Stupid hormones 🤷 And the guys I am interested in ... One was also interested and then told me our professions were too different (he knew from the beginning what I was doing, he could have thought twice about showing his interest in me) and the other one... Idk whether he likes me more than just a friend and apart from that our worldviews might clash leading to relationship issues further down the road. I wish it wasn't like this.

I found that desperate people feel like they need to fill a gap in their lives to make their lives better. But, I have realized that you'll lose the need to fill that gap once you convince yourself that there isn't a gap. Once you do that - you focus on what you like to do, and what makes you happy. You become a better you - for yourself - and not someone else. And this "better you" is what a potential partner is looking for. Someone who is just generally happy with being themselves and not expecting that things (such as relationships) will go smoothly all of the time. As an additional note, don't ever fake it! If you try to pretend that you're generally happy with being yourself - and you really aren't - then lying to yourself will not make things any better. Know that these changes take time. (Doing this has helped me truly realize my self-worth.) (This is just my opinion, feel free to comment! & argue against it!)

I just made this mistake about a week ago. When I first met this person and asked her out, I genuinely wanted to be with her because she was this nice and funny girl. But as we went out more, she talked down on herself so much I felt that I needed to show her as much love and compassion as I could for her so that she won't feel that way anymore. I constantly reminded her that I would always be there for her to talk or be a shoulder to cry on. But in the end, she dumped me because of this. Made a big mistake thinking I was just trying to do something right for her...

If the person you were talking to had a toxic relationship at some point, she may have realized that telling someone that they can talk to you and that you will always be there to listen, may be perceived as an attempt to gather information to create emotional bonds for the sake of control. You gotta consider that before you think the rejection was personal. I find it is more useful to show people our presence in times when they us the most and remaining consistent. However, one must consider that vulnerability and loyalty must be a two way street.

What I think that means is that you're not so desperate that you will get into a relationship with anyone. You need to make sure that you are getting into a relationship that will be successful and beneficial. What you need to do now is try and become acquaintances, friends, so you know that you two actually enjoy being around each other. You want to make sure you like them as a person, and not just as the idea of a relationship. If you feel that your feelings are genuine, that you really want to be in a relationship, that's when you want to think about actually trying to start a relationship that means something more.

I think being in a relationship is also alot of financial responsibility because the pair need to work together to get through most situations, like the coronavirus. I really like someone I’m hoping I’m ready it’s been 7 years since my last relationship and I’ve healed from that heartbreak
I have dealt with most of my inner demons, I have thought I wasn’t good enough, I have thought that I needed to be better than others, and I have thought that I was responsible for how others felt. I thought that it was my fault that somebody was upset or angry or just straight up depressed. Because I thought I wasn’t helping them or that I wasn’t good enough to help them, but I’ve realized and told myself to back off when needed. although I’m not really looking into a relationship anytime soon, Psych2Go really have helped me dealt with my problems on the inside and out. Overall they helped me become a better person. Thank you Psych2Go :)

That last point makes a great deal of sense. I've recently become a psych2go watcher when i was questioning a relationship with one of my best friends. Didn't search it, these videos just popped up in my recommend section. But they really helped me see the possible paths a bf/gf situation would take and reflect on some lingering emotions. Before, i was having a lot of racing thoughts and convinced myself that my best friend was the only person in the entire world who understood me. I considered something more because i thought it would help us finally open up to each other. However, during isolation i came to realise that i shouldn't have my happiness rely on simply being in a relationship and to simply tell him how important it is that he's in my life would be enough. To have an expert opinion break down my thousands of confusing thoughts is very helpful. Thank you.😊

Well shit, guess I'm never going to be in a relationship. My worst inner demon is my very low to none-existent self-esteem. I don't think I will ever like how I look.
Your self talk creates your reality, feed yourself positive affirmations daily, and you will see yourself in a whole new way, you will feel good as well, i too dealt and still dealing with this a bit, and that helped me so much, so just give it a shot and don't give up on yourself, you might want to sometimes, but don't, keep at it, i know you can do it, hope this helps, you are special and unique, sending you my loving energy, peace and love.

@@Sulam2490 Agreed. Most of this is a mental thing. How you perceive yourself will affect how you act, and what you do on a daily basis. You have to change your perspective if you ever want to get anywhere. And yes. This change will take time and it will be very hard at first. Be patient with it and know that everyone is unique! Know that you have the opportunity in life to be the best you, that you can be! WE ALL have to remind ourselves that we can do better, sometimes. (Also open yourself to the idea of trying new things. You might be surprised to discover what you like.)

The first ones sounds a lot like being happy alone. I've always wondered how long for? Like it that happy alone for a few days, a week, a year, or longer. I've been alone for decades and I'm still not happy. In fact the more time passes the less I feel ready for a relationship not more.
Yes, I agree. I'm in the same boat myself. I haven't been in a relationship for a while, and I'm not actively looking for one either. Simply because I know that I am not ready to be in a relationship. I have too much going on in my life at the moment. I currently barely have time scheduled for myself. I know that things would not go well if I tried to be in a relationship at this point in my life because this would force more responsibility in my life for that significant other. And that would not be fair to them or me. - I think that there are many factors that everyone needs to consider before jumping into a relationship, not just emotional ones!
It's a load a junk, honestly. Some people aren't going to be happy alone. Ask anyone who has experienced true love and/or has their own family whether they'd be happy if they were on their own. No one in a healthy relationship would say that that's preferable. If ever you've felt it yourself and know what you're missing now, it hurts more.

2. This covid time is actually a time of introspection, moving to one's higher self during the time available, & a period of chastisement. Think of this as many are turning into a new leaf. Seeds are being sown & a harvest of mature, wholesome, Godly people with values of sacrifice & true love for a partner& spouse will be ready in a month's time. Getting off sinful habits, vices, hookup ( hooker culture will be frowned upon), etc. Introspection & people having more respect for nature, for themselves, & for another human being. Not using another for selfish reasons(for the realisation is that the next partner you meet up could likely be someone else's spouse one day, if not with the self).

Understood what you are saying.
But it was adressed for those many, who mentioned that nothing is possible during quarantine. For them not to give up hope... Be it whatever religious background, any person can uplift another soul with whatever tools/ thoughts they have, i just wrote those 2 quotes cos it seemed relevant .. to create a positive frame of thought of hope,.. because at least the Word of assurance from God is taken more seriously than words of any human being.
But a caveat i had to put in cos sometimes since people wonder why God doesnt help inspite of His word, the latter para... Of course its a detailed subject...
