Love these videos with a bit of chat and a bit of riding! We were in Uppingham recently as we've got family in Bisbrooke, beautiful part of the world and you're lucky to have it all on the doorstep! Also wanted to say thanks for mentioning Goldtop jackets in one of your earlier videos, bought one recently and it's amazing!
Hi guys.. I have a Z900RS...but I'm really lusting after one of the V7's to mod in a similar way to Darcy's. My only concern is that Guzzi dealers seem to be few and far between (and my nearest is 70 miles away) When it comes to servicing and potential warranty issues it kinda begs the question if there will be logistics issues and knock on time frame issues Do you guys have a local dealer folks?.. It's the only thing putting me off.. Good stuff as usual.. 😉👍
I believe social media lacks authenticity and innocence. Every reel or story feels manufactured and artificial. The conversation you mentioned that went viral stood out because it was a glimpse into a natural, genuine, and wholesome interaction-just two people talking about what they enjoy. Hate and negativity spread quickly on the internet because they’re easy to manufacture and available in abundance, but there’s a scarcity of authentic content online. The moment you try to create something genuine and natural, it no longer remains natural and ends up feeling manufactured. Thats why I like channel like yours and Freddie Dobbs. No crazy thumbnails, no clickbaits, no obsession about crazy power numbers. Just two blokes riding their bikes in the beautiful English countryside and speaking out of their heart over a cup of coffee. Keep it up. Love and respect from India.
I have commented before it’s both of your fault along with Freddie Dobbs I bought a classic 350 . I retuned to a motor cycling after a 22 years ( last bike being a ZX7R ) . I have a body full of metal work and limited strength and movement in my limbs after almost dying in an accident (not a motorcycle accident, but cycling) and my little Enfield is just right for me, the joy of riding makes me feel alive again, no phone calls to worry about and mentally does me the world of good. Keep up the great work.
Know how you feel mate. I returned to biking after nearly 30 years. It was during COVID and I bought a bike on line, it had everything, but far too big and fast for me. So I bought a 400 Herald, nice but wasn't quite right. I then bought the Meteor, it was the Goldilocks bike. My wife passed away, I got the dreaded C, and was diagnosed also with lung disease. This left me tired, breathless and with no strength. But that little bike has never failed to put a smile on my face and build me up. I wasn't able to ride as often as I would have liked, but 'Gerty' the little bike waited patiently. Today, I was able to go for a lovely ride to a pub about 20 -25 miles away for a bit of lunch. I feel so much better and happier! You don't need 1300cc or enough luggage to cross a continent! A little 350 with bags of character is all you need to make your life so much better!
Yep! I've done more injuries to myself cycling over the past 60 years than motorcycling! So, last week after a 12 years gap I bought a Scram 411. Its bloody brilliant for me!
you Guys have a good format going here. After moving to the States 23 years ago we miss the UK pub culture, History & Countryside. A nice pub, good bit of grub, interaction with visitors/locals & a bit of banter between you both, you're onto a winner, all very relaxing.
I’m so glad you like the Wrangler! I went for this over the Defender for the long distance comfort (slightly more refined and comfy interior). I know exactly what you mean about the width of Defenders- more of a problem for the old man than me, though💪🏼 I love watching these chats! Superb
Lovely format! I Enjoyed the whole storytelling and the editing, going for lunch, talking about motorcycles and other subjects as well, showing the city a bit. Nicely done, cheers!
What RE bikes are made for; a ride through the rural lanes, and stopping off at a country pub for lunch. When its £5 its even better.......Plum crumble & ice cream sounds fabulous.
This is refreshing. Here in America, the only thing most people talk about is their $60,000 Harley baggers. Its a dick swinging contest. I love all bikes (mostly vintage) like jap bikes, Harley's (ironheads, shovel heads, knuckles, evo's) i love talking about the mechanics of it. Love building choppers and bobbers. I can't relate to these tools buying baggers for clout and "Look at me bikes". Nobody talks about riding, handling, its all about the bigger cc bikes.
Aquired my first bike (69 Suz T500) in 1977. Over the decades Ive owned loads of bikes mostly Japanese. Big..GWing, Venture 12, XS 1100, GS 850 and small, SR 500, KH 400, Tri. 500, CB 450 and at least 25 more. Every single non rider invariably asks ...When ya gettin a Harley? or You need a real bike, a Harley. Haha...none other than Hells Angels own Sonny Barger said that theyd be better off riding Honda ST 1100s but the IMAGE ..wasnt in keeping. Hahaha! I dont mean any disrespect, Ive met a HD riders who are beyond savvy and cool people. I came from 1970s bicycles into motorcycles and was intrigued by the nuts and bolts as a functioning transportation tool not as a style excersize. A Laverda Jota is the very first bike I remember idolizing. The 883 Sportster caught my interest long ago but nothing came of it. The Golden Rule... Form Follows Function. Ok, ok..my 83 Magna did stress that idiom. :)
They dont film every day britain. Scumbags in Umbro joggers sipping cheap cider on the street staring at your bike wondering when he's going to steal or vandalize it. It's not all sunshine and wholesome pubs and old people
Your videos do make me miss England. Exiled in Corfu for the last 9 years. Yeah, Corfu is green. But olive drab gets a bit samey after a while. And proper British pubs are something to be cherished. Cheers chaps.
Nice bikes, lovely ride. I started with 50hp when I was 18 years old. Had anything up to 200hp during the last 45 years. I don’t need anymore than 50hp for riding. Even the 20hp RE Classic I tested was so nice to ride. They all have what’s real riding is about…
For me, it's trips like this on Ethel, my little 350 classic red and chrome that is pure joy. Quick ? Powerful? Certainly not. Just a simple relaxed plodder . Find a village stop at the pub chill out chew the cud with the locals . Who often ask all about the bike . Nothing better in my book.
The Triumphs are refined and absolutely beautiful, smooth. Love mine. My brother has a new T100 as well and loves the way it is. He also has a Guzzi V7 when he wants something a little more rough. Thats why we own more than one bike ! The variation !
It's very refreshing to see actual conversations on youtube. Even the interaction with the supervisor was natural and pleasant. Great bikes as usual! 💯
Due to your videos I purchased a RE 350 classic and of my five bikes it’s become my favorite. I ride in the north ga mountains winding roads lots of hills and it’s perfect for my area. Thanks for another enjoyable video
Bonnevilles and Sportsters were the super bikes in the 1960s when I was in high school. They had similar power to todays intercepter. A 50 hp motorcycle is not a weak bike it’s just the world has went crazy. I’m really starting to be a grouchy old man lol
I enjoy watching your videos because you remind me of what could have been between my dad and me, if my mother didn't have a phobia of motorcycles. Please continue making these videos.
Well done Darcy, your attention to detailed camera work is incredible. Slow pans, close-up viewing, then zoom out to a detailed distant view. And the editing and Post work makes each video now compelling viewing as it adds the personal touch and friendly banter between you and the "Old Man" real and interesting. Well done :) And thanks to the "Old Man" for following along and making these vids engaging!! Yes I have an older 2019 girl, upgraded exhausts but still a fun ride!
What a nice lady supervisor. So many people who work in public facing roles have no social skills whatsoever. Gratifying to see someone who understands the customer isn't the enemy.
I love your reviews and believe me I follow a few twats.... Thanks for being brutally honest with your reviews and for being authentic. It's just a wonderful experience viewing the two of you and of course the wonderful bikes.... Cheers and well done!
I like watching you and your dad. I am 72 years now. I have had motorcycles for 56 years. You always bring your honesty to the table with enjoyable bikes I am interested in knowing about. Your opinions seem to very fresh and taken well. One of the first things I noticed about your dad is his broad shoulders. I am going to kid him just a little if he doesn't mind. If you took your jacket off, and there was a big " S " I would believe it. Enjoy your shows.
Gents, loving your videos. As a tall rider myself I really appreciate when you make the effort in some videos to show what you (as tall riders also) look like on the bikes you review. Please keep doing this in your videos. It’s a good visual for if a bike will fit me or not. Regards, 6’4” Australian biker.
Bought a R E Meteor 350 in June my mate bought a Classic last year all used to bigger bikes but we love the Enfields , great for country roads and trips to Wales etc . Really pleased with them 😀
Thanks for lunch and a chat. What a lovely English scene! 2 beautiful classic 'British' motorcycles parked outside a gorgeous old pub in a historic village. Both bikes really look and sound wonderful and fit perfectly into this landscape. Cheers!
I own an Interceptor Barcelona Blue and it was described as such a happy bike by the lady in the service station ,A Happy Bike well thats a new one for me.
You are definitely right when saying that the T120 got a little bit too much "refined". I own one myself and despite I Love it from my soul and I´m always smilling in my helment on it, at every weekend short road stretch, I do feel that my commuting bike, a RE350 classic is much more "crude" but ( maybe because of that) also much more "engaged" .. not that "isolated" .... but love both and would never ever trade them for anything else. Cheers !
Similarly I own a 350 classic and an 850 v7 Guzzi. The 350 is my go to bike. In all honesty, after 45 years biking, I don’t think there is anything finer than a 350 classic.
Am 66 I own a Interceptor & absolutely love it I will admit sometimes it feels heavy pushing her around but I have no intention of getting rid of her yet, I feel that she is perfect for me as am not one for riding silly speeds she has just enough for me I have no trouble doing 70mph but I prefer now days doing about 60 even less sometimes & chilling out on her watching the world go by! Great video as always guys keep it up😎👍🏻
loved the discussion of meeting Harveyridesbikes, and then Freddies new car. It's weirdly fun hearing that kind of chat, all channels I watch individually, having your stories and worlds overlap. Think it brings the community together by seeing and hearing about channels meeting each other. Refreshing, somehow :)
I'm so tempted by the RE 350 to sit alongside my Triumph 900 Scrambler, just to have something a bit different that encourages a slower more reflective pace, the only thing is, I think I might end up not riding the Triumph at all.
I took my Bullet 350 for its first countryside blast a couple of days ago with a group and the only part of the ride where I felt I needed more power was climbing hills. Other than that it was perfect.
Lovely pub and great value food. I've owned a 60's BSA 650, 70's Norton 850 and Triumph Bonneville 750's. I now ride a 2020 Triumph Speed Twin 1200. It's a better bike all round, loads of character and a fantastic engine. Plenty of power and low down torque for overtaking and most of all it's fun to ride.
What a great video 👍 I do remember the Grolsh beers that have those tops back in the day ! Obviously I never put them on my shoes 😂 it’s so good to see your channel speaking about the feel of bikes ( not how fast you can go ) 👍
Lovely to see a father and son having a shared passion for bikes😮 If you think the newer Bonnevilles are too refined try out an air cooled 865 I ride an America/speedmaster bags of character. 😅
Love these types of videos. The Windmill and the lovely Towns and Villages along your travels... One day, I'll get to see these wonderful places. I've added Instagram back on just to follow your feed...
Hey Gentlemen, its not just some people who get offened by the idea of comparison with a Triumph but even in India, people tend dislike Royal Enfields because they go on about the specs sheet and its lower compared to other bikes. Some people won't get difference between enjoying the speed vs enjoying the ride. So carry on with your good work.
Yet another excellent video. Due to constantly watching videos such as yours and others on the Road Enfield, i went ahead and bought the interceptor 650, 2023 model on bank holiday Monday. I only went for a look! I decided on the Barcelona blue with blacked out engine and alloys. And upgraded pipes. It'll sit lovely at the side of my Tracer 900....
I love my Meteor 350, it's been de-catted and has the DNA air filter/intake. I don't feel it's too underpowered. It's a change in mindset, that's the key thing. I no longer want to go from A to B flat out, on the edge and arrive thinking you had a couple of near misses. Pottering along at 50-60 looking at the world as you go by, is just great and very therapeutic! Anyway, I think I'm going to ride up to The Sun Inn for lunch! It's about 75 miles each way directly, so it will be interesting to do a bit longer journey via the smaller roads.
I remember seeing that reel months ago of you with the British racing green Continental GT. It’s what brought me to your content, and I have been a follower here in both your TH-cam channels since
Pls do visit india. A trip to the leh-ladakh region aka the himalyas on the RE bikes would be very enjoyable. 'Urmingla' is the highest motorable road in the world and the scenic views from this place are absolutely breathtaking.
The B664 Uppingham to Market Harborough road is part of the Rutland TT route, so always bikers on it - maybe you guys could film a circuit of it in a future video ? I rode it a few months ago and in one village in Lincolnshire found myself behind a pair of oxen pulling a cart. I kid you not !
I dig your videos Gentleman! We don't have good Indian food here in the states and you'd be brave to drink coffee and eat that here😂😂😂Anyways, I ride a HD Street Bob Dyna , RE Meteor 350 and an Indian Scout. I love bikes no matter what kind of bike. You guys are blessed to ride all those different bikes. Keep it up Cabrones. Cheers from Tennessee.
Lovely content thank you both - this is a nice unique angle for your channel. The relationship comes over well, food bikes countryside pub lovely. Get yourself to Foxton locks for the next chat.
I enjoyed this video style, casual “come along and have lunch with us” kind of video. Hope to see more. On a side note I have an Interceptor (2024) and so far, I love everything about it… except the mufflers. The first modification will be getting some slip on cans that aren’t MASSIVE. On the stock bikes my eyes are always drawn to those huge and ultra restrictive cans on the back.
I love y'all's comparison videos. Recently I watched a comparison video between the new Indian Scout 101 and a Harley Lowrider S, and someone commented that it wasn't a good comparison and that they should've compared the Indian Sport Chief to the Harley instead. But I actually appreciate the comparison videos that are between bikes in the same category, but might have vastly different power or price points. They help weigh the pros and cons of maybe saving a bit of money, or spending the extra cash for a bike you might think is worth it. As always love seeing the two of you together, one of my favorite channels and one of the few that I watch every single video. Ride safe
Nice Lady, this is where you give a free t-shirt and have her give a quick overview of the the place and food, mention is biker friendly and anyone wearing our shirt 👕 will get a cup and tea with lunch. Take a Polaroid photo with your t-shirt and staff email in & put on the cork board. They may have a trivia game nights. Where do we send emails and pictures of our bikes travelling 🧳 weekends.
yes ,, that video with the conti just felt right , hard job to replicate or plan these things ,,, but the pub visits showing the staff , the service , the food , and atmosphere seems to work ;;;
Exactly you cannot stage these things, I’ve seen staged videos of similar interactions and it just doesn’t feel right. If it happens it happens and it makes for a lovely video
I had a 4litre Jeep Wrangler about….15 years ago. Very thirsty (obviously) but the road tax was the shocker, think it was £490 a year, even back then. Glad I had it though even though it wasn’t that long.
It's good to branch the channel slightly towards local scenery and pubs for us foreigners who are not so familiar with what exists out there. Brady Brandwood has a lobster channel (Leon), and his videos also travel around a bit, geocaching, or have cats and other animals, despite the videos being 30-70% about the starring lobster. Because things need some framing and context.
First off, lovely content here on your channel all around. Second, I'm very grateful that channels like yours compare bike brands like Truimph with Royal Enfield. I'm in the process of choosing if I want to invest less on a RE or more on a Triumph. They have a similar look and feel even though they can be far apart in price. Cheers from Colorado!
Huzzah! As always, gorgeous scenery of your country and the bonus of a beautiful Church towards the end of the video with home spun comments flowing between not only the two of you but the charmingly loverly manager of the pub and folks just passing by. At 4:30 a little ol' man with a cane walked by. For a moment I thought it was me but that gentleman was a bit bigger than I. Speaking of which, it appears that Dad has begun weight training again. Good for him. Enough ramblin'...Thank you for a look at England and her citizens. SS in commiefornia, USA.
i liked bsa goldstar more due to my affinity to j series single , int is fantastic machine just that i like the single thump and triple cylinder more than the twin❤ so my dream garage- hunter, goldstar, indian ftr and triumph rocket

loved the discussion of meeting Harveyridesbikes, and then Freddies new car. It's weirdly fun hearing that kind of chat, all channels I watch individually, having your stories and worlds overlap. Think it brings the community together by seeing and hearing about channels meeting each other. Refreshing, somehow :)
Thanks very much! We’re hoping to collaborate with some other channels later in the year 😊
Wonderful format. Love these casually presented films. Gives a nice warm feeling. Great stuff.
That crumble looked mega!
It was delicious 😊
Just come across your channel. What a great find! Love bikes and the freedom you feel. I agree with your thoughts on the Royal Enfield, great bikes .
Welcome aboard 👍🏼
Yet another fantastic video fellers great to watch, just bought a pair of those jeans from xlmoto great value thanks for the info.
I'm so tempted by the RE 350 to sit alongside my Triumph 900 Scrambler, just to have something a bit different that encourages a slower more reflective pace, the only thing is, I think I might end up not riding the Triumph at all.
Ah this is exactly why you guys are so much fun to watch! Delightful video, keep it coming!
Great content fellas, being local I know all the locations and roads you’re talking about; and we’re very lucky to live here.
Very true!
As my old dad used to say-"you'll be old yourself one day."
A very enjoyable video. I grew up in 'arborough and now live in Bangkok, Thailand 😁😁.
I took my Bullet 350 for its first countryside blast a couple of days ago with a group and the only part of the ride where I felt I needed more power was climbing hills.
Other than that it was perfect.
I love the Triumphs but I think I would go for Royal Enfield. Can not beet the quality for the price even if it was a bit more expensive. Great bikes.
Very enjoyable and relaxing. I am already looking forward to your review of the Kawasaki W230 sometimes in the spring :)
PLUM CRUMBLE??? I'm sold, see you there next week.
Great film....you two do make me think of my son and I....very similar ways....always enjoy what you put out. Cheers John
Obviously I never put them on my shoes 😂 it’s so good to see your channel speaking about the feel of bikes ( not how fast you can go ) 👍
Lovely to see a father and son having a shared passion for bikes😮
If you think the newer Bonnevilles are too refined try out an air cooled 865 I ride an America/speedmaster bags of character. 😅
Definitely need to try one 😁
Love these types of videos. The Windmill and the lovely Towns and Villages along your travels... One day, I'll get to see these wonderful places. I've added Instagram back on just to follow your feed...
@@garyseaton4619 awesome thanks 😊
Thank you, this is amazing to hear! Sounds fantastic, a perfect companion to the tracer
It’s what brought me to your content, and I have been a follower here in both your TH-cam channels since
That’s amazing to hear, thanks for watching 😊
Lovely video, definitely got to have lunch at that pub, what a deal!
Pls do visit india. A trip to the leh-ladakh region aka the himalyas on the RE bikes would be very enjoyable. 'Urmingla' is the highest motorable road in the world and the scenic views from this place are absolutely breathtaking.
We hope to one day! Maybe Royal Enfield will invite us on the next new model launch! 🤞🏼
I really like that bullet ...the different paint finishes ...suble and interesting.. ...lovely bike
Liking the format, almost like being part of of the conversation / ride out. Nice!
I think that Bullet 350 would look better with the engine guards in black.
Namaste gentlemen ...nice settings for a chat between two motorcycle men...that short windscreen looks nice on the Bullet.. .....
Really enjoyed this one, some great interactions
More such videos please ..food with motorcycles.Cheers
I dig your videos Gentleman! We don't have good Indian food here in the states and you'd be brave to drink coffee and eat that here😂😂😂Anyways, I ride a HD Street Bob Dyna , RE Meteor 350 and an Indian Scout. I love bikes no matter what kind of bike. You guys are blessed to ride all those different bikes. Keep it up Cabrones. Cheers from Tennessee.
Cool relaxing video and beautiful looking motorcycles. I also remember they used to put those bottle tops on Dr Martins.
@@silkycherry thanks 😊
A lovely video love the chats plus 2 nice bikes
Lovely content thank you both - this is a nice unique angle for your channel. The relationship comes over well, food bikes countryside pub lovely. Get yourself to Foxton locks for the next chat.
I enjoyed this video style, casual “come along and have lunch with us” kind of video. Hope to see more.
On a side note I have an Interceptor (2024) and so far, I love everything about it… except the mufflers. The first modification will be getting some slip on cans that aren’t MASSIVE. On the stock bikes my eyes are always drawn to those huge and ultra restrictive cans on the back.
Isn’t it lovely when subscribers, or anyone in general who have seen you on TH-cam, just stop to chat 😎
Ride safe
The 350 with the black pipes etc really makes the bike look better over chrome in my opinion.
Just brilliant. Well done chaps 👏😌. Regards, Mo 😊👍
Great video , I enjoyed the relaxed vibe , great bikes and location too
@@garryclarke-kray4071 thank you 😊
Brilliant video
Nice Lady, this is where you give a free t-shirt and have her give a quick overview of the the place and food, mention is biker friendly and anyone wearing our shirt 👕 will get a cup and tea with lunch. Take a Polaroid photo with your t-shirt and staff email in & put on the cork board. They may have a trivia game nights. Where do we send emails and pictures of our bikes travelling 🧳 weekends.
Very easy to watch, good work!
Thanks a lot!
Brilliant video guys kept me sane while the missus watched the soaps 😄keep the great bike content up with your excellent on location chats etc
yes ,, that video with the conti just felt right , hard job to replicate or plan these things ,,, but the pub visits showing the staff , the service , the food , and atmosphere seems to work ;;;
Exactly you cannot stage these things, I’ve seen staged videos of similar interactions and it just doesn’t feel right. If it happens it happens and it makes for a lovely video
What a great video talking to the passers bye is minted. Me I would have the speed 400.
I had a 4litre Jeep Wrangler about….15 years ago. Very thirsty (obviously) but the road tax was the shocker, think it was £490 a year, even back then. Glad I had it though even though it wasn’t that long.
i have bothr 650 and 350 from RE these are different rides depending upon the mood i pick the bike
Enjoyed lots, keep up the good work 👍
First off, lovely content here on your channel all around. Second, I'm very grateful that channels like yours compare bike brands like Truimph with Royal Enfield. I'm in the process of choosing if I want to invest less on a RE or more on a Triumph. They have a similar look and feel even though they can be far apart in price. Cheers from Colorado!
Much appreciated!
Great video. Thank's
Have a T100 a V7 and a 961.
The Triumph is dull . But hauls the sidecar ok.
Maybe a back handed complement
Love your videos. Tnx :)
i liked bsa goldstar more due to my affinity to j series single , int is fantastic machine just that i like the single thump and triple cylinder more than the twin❤ so my dream garage- hunter, goldstar, indian ftr and triumph rocket
I have an old school RE with kickstart. Hope to ride in your country someday
