An idea for your Freddie Dobbs collaboration... Perhaps more of the same. Meet up with Freddie, filming your journey to him, then you all ride convoy to a lovely scenic location and have a chat about whatever is relevant at the time, over a nice meal.

That was a fun lunch. I like how you described the Bonnie as a "Jag" and "Waft." That really helps me understand the essence of the bike, and why it's twice as much as the Royal Enfield.

I thoroughly love everything you guys put out. So lovely to see father and son sharing such a passion about all things bikes. I sadly lost my dad in 2018 but he always spoke passionately about his 1960s BSA 650 Goldstar. Enjoy every moment together guys, I appreciate all the work you put into making these great videos and so look forward to the Freddie meet up. Like others have said, maybe a ride out to another nice pub, delicious lunch and some bike story swapping. Big love from the West Midlands.

The all-grey Shotgun is very nice and understanded. If the forthcoming Classic 650 isn't to my taste, the grey 650 is very tempting. Then again, I'll only be burbling along on it like my 350.

For the money the Royal Enfield seems to be a very practical bargain. You can take a magnet to it all around and it will stick to the fenders and everywhere. It's built with real quality materials, and they could have used plastic like many manufactures. This company is giving you quality and real value in my opinion. 6/22/24.

Open lids have there place, especially on a hot day stuck in traffic etc. I used to wear one on my Street Bob, but one day when slowing down for a large roundabout on a dual carriageway, a wasp hit my lid and got stuck in the lining grove where my sunglasses arms would go. I had to negotiate the roundabout and carry on while the sod keeping stinging me, until I could stop at a layby and rip my helmet off. Don`t know how many times he stung me but he went for it. Then having to put my lid back on a drive another thirty odd miles to get home. It was so painful. Little bastard...That was the last time I wore one.

What a brilliant video on two excellent bikes. I'm just getting into editing my own motorbike videos, a steep learning curve to say the least! I'm seriously considering a Royal Enfield Shotgun to sit alongside my 2021 Yamaha Tracer and 1990 CBR 600. Each time I watch a review on the Enfield it convinces me a little more. More building work in the garden to make room for another shed I think....

I have to put my hand up and say I like the graphics on all of the Shotguns. They all look really different and special and cool. The yellow highlights look sweet. And I'm 65. Thank god they did it and I'm a bit over the hurrumphing old fart comments I've seen all over YT. They don't look "tacky"" and if you want the old school RE has those in spades as well. And get over the off centre stuff. Jeez. Also funky and cool. :)

My compliments, lovely video, beautiful bikes, and so nice and refreshing to see other people on the road behaving with care and respect. On the levantine roads, we don't get much notice, any car from behind has to cling to the back wheel, nobody ever gives right of way, and, more or less, everybody is trying to kill you. Crash or die, but no turn indicators will ever be used. And the heat. Summer started mid April, and it will be hot as hell, but more humid, until mid November. Day and night. I wish the British empire would come back, bringing the weather with them.

I enjoyed this video with the back and forth between you. The nice thing about Freddie's videos is that he tells a story. It's 30% bike review but mostly a story, a ride along. You guys should make and adventure out of it and the bikes pros and cons will be apparent. If you want a direction for your channel, the old Top Gear is a perfect model. A story, adventure, using the cars but always having some fun with familiar characters and show segments. An example might be a challenge, like comparing two bikes on a ride to Morocco. Which one breaks down or uses the most fuel?

I am glad you pair are sizable gentlemen as I am of similar proportions so when I see you on bikes I can judge what they would look like under me. I have to say you made todays bikes look pretty toyish. I kept thinking £13k for a toy? I don't think so.

I have a feeling the new Royal Enfield bike will be the Guerilla 450/Hunter 450 whatever they end up calling it. It's basically a Hunter 350 type roadster with the new 450cc liquid cooled Sherpa engine (in the new Himalayan) in it. Supposedly there is a "Scrambler" variant and a standard variant, the former being probably a little more offroady. This release will be similar to the Triumph Speed 400 and 400X Scrambler bikes methinks.

Nice vid. Interesting to see the comparison.
Having had a Speedmaster for a couple of years now I love it, but it has it's faults. I was hoping the Shotgun/Meteor 650 would address those and it would be just as good in other ways, but, for me, it's just not.
I think the Shotgun/Meteor 650s are excellent and great value, but the Speedmaster is a class above. More characterful and capable. Though you sure pay for that difference.
Much like the Triumph 400s vs RE 350s, given the differences in the bikes and the prices I don't think they really compete/compare (though certainly, like me, some will want to see for themselves).
For those wondering about my gripes with my beloved Speedmaster: Fuel range (small tank, big engine), suspension (short travel bottoming out) and need for a lot of clutch work (1200cc torque/power).
I wish they did a Speedmaster with the T100's engine, gearing and suspension. I think only that would get me off my Speedy.
Come to think of it... I might try a T100 sometime and see how I feel...

I will not do touring on this bike, this bike is not up for it for me for distance. (Despite marketing). However, every day commutes, and explore on the weekend, perfect!
However, Triumph quality is just so outstanding comparing! And worth the money!
I love my Super Meteor so much (converted to single seat , with solo seat finisher, Astral Black, Barend Mirrors) however I already know the T100 Bonneville is my perfect keeper next purchase! (Love the Stealth or would go black. )
The ShotGun... Love so much Bobber Looks!! Amazing But I felt Giant on it at 5'9. (Not that matters) Would still keep a Super Meteor for size. Just me ...

It’s about 15 degrees here sun but the frost this morning was -1 now specs only tell you a certain aspect about the bike and to be honest I gone and purchased it on that only to find out 3-4 months later it’s not really what I wanted. I feel like it can take a few months living with the bike and getting over the honeymoon period and then actually doing the things that you normally do. I been renting bikes for a few months, I swapped out bikes with friends and everything in between to discover that fact. I rode the Honda CRF 300 Rally and the standard L and came away with I like it never would have picked it.
I started with what I wanted first what I plan on doing and going and essentially did it backwards. I removed the bike specific criteria. A big difference.

Maybe a Harley, Indian and Triumph?
If you could swap bike throughout to give your opinions.

    Relaxed entertaining video.
I will try to get myself the opportunity to ride the shotgun before this season is over. I am not a fan of the paint option of the bike in the video. I probably would pick the drill green instead.
Looking forward to see what bike RE is going to present i Barcelona! 😊

Yeah fine, I agree with the view of the 650 graphics. The green and black I think are the best. The 650 shotgun I think really amazing for the price.

Freddie Dobbs is excellent. Love his explorations and real life reviews. Would love to see you guys team up for the occasional vid. An adventure of some sort with you guys and him would be great.
I'm looking for inspiration for my next bike. Something retro'ish and naked. Could be a Z900RS, could be a T120.... whatever it is has to be different and bigger than my interceptor (which i will be keeping)

I worked in marketing for a very long time and RE are very much making the same mistake that Austin Rover did in the late 1980's with the MG Metro. The car was selling well but in an attempt to widen its appeal to a younger driver, they changed the graphics and made 'pop art' of the MG logo. This weakened the integrity of the MG brand and arrogance with in Austin Rover's marketing department chose not to acknowledge this. The result was the axing of the MG Metro. RE are doing the same and effectively 'talking down' to potential buyers and making a joke of the brand image. They are doing much the same with the Hunter 350 too. The Shotgun is an amazing machine with a traditional classic air cooled engine and classic looks. By making 'cartoon art' of their badging they cheapen their name and their product. If instead they'd used old school RE Bullet badging, or similar you would have more instant respect for the bike you were looking at. I cannot believe that with all the resources and success that RE are enjoying that they are making such a fundamental mistake...

I get your points but the reason for the graphics is the upcoming bullet, classic 650.
If they give this bike retro looks, they will end up having 2 bikes that don't have much difference going on.
Thus they have gone with a sort of modern design & have advertised it as something which is a blank canvas for mods and changes.

Hello there, when you are in Barcelona don’t forget to get a butifarra pork sausage for lunch, which is a wonderful Catalan speciality (if you can avoid the coke and latte and get a nice wine with it, it will be better too). Enjoy the trip and thanks for the video

what an amazing looking pub, it blows me away how English pubs seem to have such low ceilings. I wonder if the lady on the reception has Parkinson's with her head shakes. Hope not of course. ok I'll watch the rest of the video now :)

Regarding the Freddie Dobbs collab, I'd love to explore the perspective of 3 different generations of bikers on what it means to be a biker.
Especially with Monika's delicate and elegant editing it could turn out quite cinematic.
The ol' badass, the romantic nostalgic and the young gentleman.
I'm sure it'll come out quite cool

Nice neck of the woods there, chaps. Hope you’ve made the right move. And there are some cracking (and quiet roads, too) bike roads. Donkey’s years ago used to go fly fishing to Rutland water. Anyway, not overly keen on either but of the two I’d have the Enfield for sheer value. You must try the Guzzi Bobber, sometime, as a comparison.

I really love these videos. Keep them coming. The look of that Speedmaster, particularly the petrol tank, it's just wheeled gorgeousness.
About that funny tasting steak in France... could it not be horse meat? Did they say something like 'viande chevaline'?... was it not really tender? Well, never mind, great to see you back, riding together and showing around your beautiful country.
    Cheers.

Your alls channel is my favorite on TH-cam, I believe your guys opinions and feel for the bikes is more in line with mine when looking at and riding bikes. The feel is more important than the numbers. I like motobobs channel too, it's just different style and take and different personality I guess?. Either way I watch both of your alls videos and enjoy hearing your alls takes on different bikes.
