Oh Jayda InStitches, you are a jewel! I have listened to dozens of crochet artists explain how to make the foundation row chain but I could never get it to look right, until now! This was the first time it has registered with me that there were 3 parts to the "chain" I needed to be looking fo r and I would essentially just end up going between the chain and the sc. Thank you for the eye opener. Now it actually looks right! 😊

Your the best Jayda. I get it now. This is the foundation + 1st row all in one !! Thank you for explaining clearly. I had previously practiced this stitch & the fdc, but I wasn't sure how to execute it (use it) at all. I was stuck because all videos leave this part out. Now thanks to you I can actually use it.. Thank you, thank you. BTW, I love all the back to basics, quick fixes, & new techniques you present to us because you pace yourself & explain thoroughly. They sure do come in handy.. Please continue with more. There is actually a chainless stitch that replaces a ch 3 that I'd love for you to present, maybe ?? Thank you in advance.. Blessings from NM..

      Hi Jayda,
I was wondering if you could describe where your hook goes after making the FHDC. I made the FHDC as you described, but I'm a bit confused as to where I need to insert the hook next. I insert it under the two bottom strands as if it was afoundation chain. But I don't know if this is correct. Thank you in advance for any help. I love your tutorials, your sunny personality and your soft soothing voice.

My mother-in-law does quilos and I asked her the measurements for a quillow and go by that make the blanket 47 x 70 and then what I was going to do was folded up and then measure the size of it and make a square to match and sew it on the back part of the blanket. I hope this helps
