    Thank you so much. This is the perfect tutorial for dummies like me. I've crocheted a blanket 1/3 of the way. Saw problems. Frogged. Tried chain, then SC for a neat finish. This tightened entire length by >40%. Frogged. Now I'm here. QUESTION: The pattern starts right on the First Row after making 178 chains. If I do a DC foundational row, how do I know which is RIGHT side and WRONG side? With this, I'll be starting the pattern on Second Row instead of first row. Please help. 🙏

      You just keep repeating until you have the number of stitches that you need. You then chain and turn and start the next row. There is no special way to end this stitch. Hope this help! :)

    • @hopecornerfarmcrochet
      @hopecornerfarmcrochet  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If I have just completed a row of FDC stitches, the next row gets worked into the side that is currently closest to my crochet hook. I usually chain and flip/turn to start the next row so that side is in the correct place. I hope that makes sense! :)

    I have a question. I am very new to crocheting and I want to try this. My question is, when a pattern starts out with a chain that is multiples of 6 plus 3. Can you explain how do you do that in the chain less foundation chain?

    • @hopecornerfarmcrochet
      @hopecornerfarmcrochet  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It would just be multiples of 6. The plus 3 is for creating the first stitch with a chain and stitch, so if you use the foundation double crochet to start, you would just need multiples of 6. Keep in mind that the Foundation Double Crochet counts as one row of double crochet stitches to start (it would be the same as chaining and then creating a row of double crochets). I hope this makes sense! Happy crocheting! :)

    hi there! beginner here, thank you for such a detailed explanation. I am planning to use this stitch rather for a blanket pattern, rather than a chain then double crochet.
    Question: does this foundation double crochet stitch count as the first row of double crochet on my regular chain/dc pattern?

    • @annarees2186
      @annarees2186 ปีที่แล้ว

      also to continue to the next row of double crochet, do I continue with the turning stitches as noted in the pattern, as if it is a normal row?

    • @annarees2186
      @annarees2186 ปีที่แล้ว

      example if it helps to understand what I’m asking:
      pattern says -
      chain 152.
      row 1: double crochet in 4th ch from hook. DC in each Ch after (150st). chain 3, turn work
      row 2: DC in 2nd stitch

    • @hopecornerfarmcrochet
      @hopecornerfarmcrochet  ปีที่แล้ว
