Thank you so much, Carolyn! Many hugs!
Gorgeous design and great explanation 😀
Thank you, Carolyn, I'm happy you like it! 🙏🌷
🎉Soooo CUTE💖
I don't have any solid dead soft I just have the square wire that I buy from ParaWire. Hopefully it works and I'll just have to be extra careful that I don't scratch or Mar The Wire. I'm always famous for doing it right at the very end😂😤😢
Have fun, Sandy! Parawire is coated wire, so be careful on the hammering, it might break through, just FYI, maybe hammer a scrap piece first and see what happens... you can do this wrap without hammering the wire too, it'll just look slightly different, but should hold the stone all the same. Try a little masking or painter's tape on your plier heads or sanding them smooth at the edges if they are leaving nicks on your wire... Let me know how it goes! ;) Thanks for watching!
🎉🎉
Thank you, Nancy! :D
Hello…..beautiful clean design and you make it look simple. - I’ve thrown 3 attempts in the trash already!!! Can you recommend a hammer for making the flare? Nothing I’m using is creating anything but a flattened, bobbly mess!!!
I use a Chasing Hammer, you can find them in many places including local hobby and craft stores. The head of a Chasing hammer os slightly curved, so you hit with the face and not the edges. Hope that helps!
@PerfectlyTwistedJewelry thanks so much.... I'll give it a whirl!
Thank you! Do you use mostly 18ga sq wire for your perimeter wraps?
Yes I do mostly, 18g and 20g.
Love that style. What brand bent nose are you using?
Thank you, Rose, These are Xuron 450 Bent nose... you can find them online in several places and they also sell a set. I hope that helps!
@@PerfectlyTwistedJewelry it does! 💜
Beautiful again!! May I ask what that smaller hammer is? What to call it in a search or do you have a link?
Thanks, Selene! That's actually a Riveting Hammer, here is a link to one on RioGrande www.riogrande.com/product/french-riveting-hammer-3-oz/112188GP/?code=112188
It's not for the purpose of what I use it for, but it's a great tiny little head for tight spaces ;)
That's definitely handy! Thank you!!
So beautiful thank you! Did you say 1.5mm ball chain? 😍 I would love to know who sells that, the finest one I can find is 2.4.
GemsPlus24 on Etsy... here you go my dear! They are wonderful. 😊❤️ www.etsy.com/listing/198954318/12-ft-spool-of-style-antique-copper-ball
@@PerfectlyTwistedJewelry oh thanks very much!
@@PerfectlyTwistedJewelry does the plate wear off? I noticed it isn't solid copper.
I'm not really sure, Cathy, I seal my chains with the ProtectaClear, so I don't notice that it wears. I give them a very decent polish with the Sunshine cloth too to get them shiny before I seal them.
This is gorgeous! Would it look good with round wire? I haven't bought any square wire yet as I'm just learning
I made a flower the other day. If i tag u on insta would u take a look at it n tell me your honest opinion?
It will look great in round wire, yes I'd love to see it!
@PerfectlyTwistedJewelry thank you so much! I just tagged u
Another fabulous design 😊 I have a question for you. You are using 18 gauge wire. Is that Standard Wire Gauge or American Wire gauge ? I guess I want to know the size in millimetres as I’m in the uk. 9:45
Hi Michele! The 18g copper wire is 1.02mm in diameter if that helps?
@@PerfectlyTwistedJewelry thank you. In the UK 18 gauge is 1mm. In the video it looks a lot thicker
Your 1mm should work great on this design. Have fun!
what size is the stone?
Thanks, Bill, I added it in comments, I realize I didn't add it to the Materials list. It's 1 inch tall x 3/4 inch wide.
@@PerfectlyTwistedJewelry Thanks
Is this wire annealed?
Hi Trina! No, this wire is not, most of my patterns use Dead Soft wires. Hope that helps!👋🤩
@@PerfectlyTwistedJewelry thank you. I am struggling with making the bottom nice lol
I keep struggling to keep the wires stable and even at 25:15. Any advice?
Thanks, Emily... you might try making the head of the pin, the curve, smaller and tighter to the wires you're trying to straddle... the other option would be to take the wires all the way around the outside frame and do a complete 360 wrap with them... use pliers and tighten the 360 wrap as evenly on both wires as possible so you can center the head of the pin. I hope that helps! Please let me know how you're progressing, Emily, thanks again for reaching out.
@EmilysCTplaylist Another example is at Timestamp 19:52 in this video... it's a Silent one, but you can watch a couple of minutes for the pin example... th-cam.com/video/Y2UyAqy34S4/w-d-xo.html
I will send you another example or two...
@EmilysCTplaylist
Here is another example using one of the O.Y.O.D. tutorials, it's silent but again, you can watch the few minutes where I set the pin at the bottom of the Opal for another example... th-cam.com/video/6UDsFVZvxVw/w-d-xo.html
Timestamp 25:00
@EmilysCTplaylist And then you can also watch your Members tutorial called Loretta, th-cam.com/video/VIMG8-MI40Y/w-d-xo.html
The timestamp 33:33 shows where I do the pin and I talk you through the video on this one. Hope these help!
excellent design work! you are truly amazing, and i am so excited and grateful you share this ♥️
Thank you, Denise, enjoy!🌷🙏
