    This has to be one of my favorite videos, I really enjoy when you speak in the video. You don't ramble you explain why your doing it a particular way and you provide many tips like the how to fix the bulk on the wires up top after moving them to be hammered, the different types of backs to hold the stone. Sorry you had trouble talking with the second part but I appreciate everything you said in the first one. Looking forward to part two💙

    Hi!! Greetings from Argentina!🤗
    I loved this video! 😍
    You nkow? When I saw your wired hammer I remembered something from my days at school.
    You know you can fix your hammer handle by sinking the tool in water for a while?.... The wood will swell "sticking" the upper part of the hammer to the bottom. 💜
    We used to do this with our tools back in my goldsmiths school.☝😊 It works pretty good...!!!!

      Great suggestion!! I will keep it in mind to try next time my little hammer needs attention. 😘🥰

    I know this post was a while ago, but I am just starting:-). This piece really touches my heart and I can't wait to finish it. I am a beginner at wire work(1 year) and I have no idea how to do the hammering, sanding, buffing, polishing part. I did a lot of reading online, but am a bit overwhelmed. Do you have a beginners recommendation kit that you recommend? Your work is inspiring to me, thank you!!

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for this lovely comment! I don't have a beginners kit but the tools and materials used in this and all of my videos are always listed in the first 10 seconds of the video. This video goes through shaping, hammering, and maybe even sanding... The simple tools can be found on most marketplaces online or at RioGrande.com which is a major and reputable jewelry supplier, I get most of my wire and tools from them. I am not an affiliate. I polish using a dremel which is more involved but if you get Sunshine Cloths and give a good hand polishing, they work beautifully to give you a great shine on the metal. I think you can do this! After this one, watch XGene and do the whole pendant. Have fun!

    Hello again! Do you have any tips for getting the added wires to stay put(all wires in addition to the frame)? All other wire tutorials I have done(prior to this one) have weaved the added wires in. I am so not used to wrapping/bending large wires in without the weave. All the added wires I have put on never stop sliding:-( for this gorgeous xgene tutorial. My sliding started with the wires that go across the stone on the back. I will need to start over from this spot, any suggestions:-)?

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In some techniques, you can take the frame wire all the way around, press tight and it should hold. For some techniques, it's more like an 'indent' from top and bottom, and if this is not tight enough, then the wire slides. You can squeeze them down tighter and I would also put an additional wire horizontally across them, securing it onto the sides to counter the potential slide in the vertical wires. I hope this helps! Regarding the wires in the back, you probably need to just squeeze them down tighter against the main frame. Thank you for watching!

    Is there a web site for your cabs

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  ปีที่แล้ว

      I shop at the Colorado Mineral and Fossil show,... coming up on the 9th actually. I get stones from several dealers, this one is from Sidewinder Minerals. I don't think he sells his cabs online but here is his link... www.rockygems.com/store/bj-sidewinder/
