1/14 Scale RC Semi Truck 3D Printed pt2

- The 3D printed Remote controlled Semi truck is coming along very well. I have the main cab done, both in studio sleeper and day cab. The cab mounts using magnets for easy removal. The hood and doors open.

The design is fully modular. You can have as many or as few axles as you want and change the length between the transmission and the dive axles. The drive axles have a working differential, giving a much sharper turning radius. There is also a solid axle option if you plan to go off the pavement. There is a functioning lift axle with working suspension and passive steering.
I plan to sell the files when all is complete. I am excited to see what trucks everyone can build. The options are endless. From a single axle in town truck to a multi drive axle heavy haul, or dump truck. There's so many possibilities with the ease of the modular design.

Exactly what I was looking for. $40 is a bargin for the files. I'll be getting this shortly. Seems like a really awesome project and when you finish you can tell everyone you made it. Like made dang near everything not just assembled it.

@Contrell Beal Where can you get the same truck for free? I am not aware of any completely printable scale truck that can be remote controlled and all of the files are optimized and ready for printing.

what kind of printer did you use? I'm looking for one to do projects just like this. I love it man, can't wait to see what you build next.
Thank you. My main printer is the Ender 5 Plus. But you can do this project and a lot of other cool stuff with an Ender 3. The bigger build area is great to have on the 5 Plus, but it is quite a bit more expensive than the 3.

Thank you. It does take a while to print, but not as bad as you would think. I've always wanted a nice 1/14 scale truck but they are so expensive. This is a much cheaper way to do it. It's also been a lot of fun to design and build. Keep an eye out, I'm getting it all painted and polished and then I'll put up more videos.
how did you get the scaling correct in blender?

I am building the truck in 1/14th scale so I then get the real world dimensions and divide them by 14 to get the size I want to make something in blender. I have a bunch of reference images in blender and have them all scaled to the correct size, so I don't have to check every single part, if it looks right I go with it. You do need to be sure to not scale or move objects in object mode or it will change the dimensions shown in edit mode. If you accidentally do, you can "apply transformation" to get things back to reading correctly.

I printed mine in PLA. If you plan to leave it in hot places such as a car then you’ll want something with more heat resistance.
