    This was extremely helpful! Thank you for taking the time to put out content like this. As a new to video editing person stuff like this makes the whole process seem so much less daunting!

    I solved the text cutoff problem by going to Fusion (which I'd never used before). I changed "position z" until the text fit. I think you could also do that in "Layout" within the text editor ... also changing position z.
    That will shrink the size of your text, so you then have to zoom in or increase text size.
    It was really a pretty simple fix, once I figured it out.

    cool how-to video, I think you just missing addressing that on the second text layer, you didn't mention creating keyframes as well, so the text goes from bottom to top. If there is no keyframes the text will stay static
    cheers

    Ive made this before but how come when i make it as a vertical video, the text just looks like its sliding up instead of crawling off into the distance????

    Awesome! How are you liking 18 so far? Have you noticed significant improvements in speed, particularly in Fusion? Any lesser known features you've found to be really helpful? I am waiting until it's out of beta to upgrade.

      Hi Jason,
      It has been great so far, I didn't had any major bugs personally. Definitely huge improvement in speed, at least it feels like it. So many of our past pack that where a bit heavy to run, are running smoothly now, I'm very impress it start to feel like final cut in therm of how snappy the software feels. I haven't had the time to dive into new features cause we've been busy working on a new pack that we're releasing today, it's the best we've done so far, very excited to share that!

    Hello people who have an issue with the top getting cut off! Just reduce the size of your text and it should not get cut off

    Hi, please can you also explain, how to change the speed of the text? I have made the time of the textbox longer, but the speed was still the same.

      The transform effect means you can use keyframes on the text to choose how fast it scrolls.

    Part of my text gets cutoff at top. In the text box if I hit enter several times I can see the begging of the text when I start the animation but it cuts off the bottom. If I hit enter several times beneath the text I can see the bottom but the top is now cutoff. 🤬😡😠 What sliders do I have to adjust so I can see scroll through all my text w/o cutting any off???

      same problem

    • @Logan5Greye
      @Logan5Greye ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chymi_484 have you found a solution? I added 2 text+ boxes and had them overlap where the text was cutoff on the former. so the next text+ box starts with the script that was cutoff and continues to the end.
      I did switch to the "FUSION" tab and started playing around there. You can manually move enter a key frame where the text starts and ends in one box. However, I think following this tutorial conflicts with that method

      u need to zoom not change the size. i actually zoomed the x scale and not the size. then do all the steps in the video. had the same problem but fixed it kinda

      I had the SAME problem. It NEVER showed the beginning of a long sequence of text - the text began at the 3rd or 4th paragraph and I gave up!
      As is typical, someone who "knows how" obviously skipped at least one step or setting.
      Wasted a bloody hour and a half on this!!!

    • @Logan5Greye
      @Logan5Greye ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chetdudeweb707 I figured it out. You have switch over to the fusion tab and you can adjust it there. Process is similar to the above by setting the Y and dropping the a key frame at the start of the animation. It's more complex than that but here's how mine turned out th-cam.com/video/7Y-rC7K3Hqo/w-d-xo.html

    Trying Again to communicate the problem:
    The issue is this: Right after pasting the text into the Title, the entire top part and bottom part of my text is cut off. Although it STILL shows in the text box, it's completely CUT OFF and cannot be seen in the viewer! Everything else described in this video works (and worked yesterday) but the ENTIRE text IS NOT DISPLAYED.
    In this video - the middle of his block of text is shown initially in the viewer (same as in my attempts) but when he slides the Y position near the end of this process, the top of his text appears and is then run off of the bottom of the screen.
    THE TOP OF MY TEXT AND THE BOTTOM OF MY TEXT DOES NOT APPEAR. NO MATTER WHAT I TRY, ONLY THE 13 lines in the center are displayed in the viewer even though ALL of the text is in the title text box!
    The text was copied from a plain .txt file in Notepad - there are NO special characters embedded in it, etc. Are carriage return line feeds causing this? (NOPE - removing them didn't help)
    Does it have to be contiguous? Is there a limit to the number of lines? WTF is happening?
    Has ANYONE else experienced this and if so how did you fix it?
