Orwell rolling coal with every upshift juxtaposed with those dramatic, endless midwestern skies makes for some great cinematography. Very enjoyable watch.
Love the goPro camera that was mounted on your truck pointing back towards your trailer. When you went under the Lincoln Nebraska Highway sign and had transferred to your trailer cam. A little bit after that it showed the lightning through the clouds, which was very beautiful thank you again! Remind me when I grew up in Wisconsin! Again thank you

Hey Chris. Recon you could put the mudflap hanger and mudflap back on Orwell. We don't want that to wind up being a focal point like that dirty ass wheel. ❤
Hey, I have to say this. But Chris is a big help to you and Orwell. I'm happy to see him getting things done. Without you having to spend money on the road.
We hate it when we get tiny tiny holes in the tires. We go through tank's all the time for the welder's. The mechanics are happy that Jesse brought a tire machine and it's way easier to change the tires. It's not a standard tire machine. It used to be a tire balancer until a good friend of ours nicknamed Macgyver built it using the old tire balancer. And mechanics was like that's way faster then doing it by hand. u do the same thing Jesse and other workers do they buy old flatbed trailer's and rebuild them like brand new. Or Jesse buy's old cargo trailers and turn them into flatbed trailer's. We both don't drive when it's really bad raining and windy. We will park under long bridge's if the trailer is light so it does not get knocked over (i found out why Jesse likes flatbed trailer's instead of dry trailers. Steve if it ever get's on just turn on the Green Apu and roll up the window's. Jesse look's at me and said Trucking parking club WTF is that $#@! and i was like never heard of that. We are halfway to Alaska and we are stopping to get something to eat for supper and Jesse (our son who we adopted and he is not named after Jesse. Spotted a good restaurant and there is a good size mall next to it. So when we get done eating we will walk around.
It is so weird to watch you transport Snow equipment when it is 106 outside... I wish it was cold enough to snow! So do the firefighters dealing with the Park Fire in Northern California.
The good news about where you were is if a tornado is developing, at least you have a good headway to get out of the way. I gotta say Chris has been a real boss asset to you in what you've been able to get done in the shop. I'm happy he's giving you some peace of mind so at least you know Orwell is as good as HE for the haters when I say SHE :p can be.
Interstate and truck stop parking lots are terrible across the US. I am not a full time trucker but in the National Guard and we just did a 4200 mile trip over the summer for our annual training from GA to TN to OK to MO to KY and back again and that was consistent everywhere we went, just getting beat to death on potholes and cracked slabs. Some holes in truck stop parking are massive and when they are covered in water from rain, they are big enough to do some real damage if you don't see them.
Orwell showed a little gitty up when you were passing the van who was struggling to hold it in the road, LoL, I have been there and done that, I would rather get around and not have to worry about what they are going to do, I enjoyed the video.

My daddy was doing pulpit supply as a minister the day after the tornado 🌪️ April 4, 1974, we went through the Wilberforce area and when I saw how the tornado 🌪️ uprooted a tree that told me how violent that storm was and it is no joke and this was on the outskirts of Xenia, OH I can’t imagine what it was like in the city itself. I was 9-years old when the tornado 🌪️ struck and the Ohio Army National Guard was called in because of the looting that occurred in Xenia, Ohio. That is why I say if you see a tornado 🌪️ coming down while you’re driving do not try to outrun it, pull over to the side of the road and find a ditch to protect yourself. It is a very dangerous move to try to outrun a tornado 🌪️, you could get killed doing that because a tornado 🌪️ is powerful enough to pick up a semi truck 🚛 and throw it like a rag doll. 🙂
I think that ole boy was hitting his brakes because he had liquid sunshine on his windshield, then looked back and saw Orwell hammering down on him. He just got intimidated!
Your metal shop doesn't carry 40' sticks of ''C '' channel and angle that would have saved you from welding it I'm sure you will need the left overs somewhere and should be cheaper that way or it is where I buy mine
I have seen a few videos with truckers having tires changed and seen a few of your when you change tires. My question is I notice or it seems you do not balance the tires like regular 4 wheelers do. What makes truck tires different I am curious.
What always bothered me about getting those weather alerts when I was OTR was they go by county, they never said something like I-45 between MM 1 and 50 is in the storm path or something that would let interstate drivers know... not everyone knows the local county names and locations
His steering wheel is his eating place it’s gross never seen Gentry’s equipment looking like that Orwell 1984 Peter built ratty interior get new door panels get rid of that ratty seat got one truck and can’t keep it clean
The metal brace for the right flap broke quite a while ago. Since Steve doesn't bobtail "Orwell" all that much, he can get away without replacing that right mudflap brace.
If the truck stops want to charge drivers to park, maybe it would be a good idea to improve the drivers' facilities, instead of them being the bare minimum, it would also help if they kept them clean, I mean come on its not Rocket Science is it, if you vould see some of the truck stops and the state of them that we've had to deal with in the UK, Europe and the Middle East, some where amazing, but some, you wouldn't let your dog take your dog take a crap there, just in case it caught a disease. I don't know what they're like in the US.
Why improve their services when there's no incentive? Drivers are pretty much at the truck stops' mercy, as more & more municipalities pass laws fining drivers for parking in town limits, even in parking lots for some. A number of truckers will park on the on/off ramps to avoid those truck stops, but they run the risk of being caught out by Highway Patrol or Dept of Transportation putting them through inspections. In the end, they won't improve unless they're forced to, whether by government force or free market force by the return of the Mom & Pop stops offering better services.
