Casey that Zacklift is one cool peice of equipment. Happy to hear that everyone was ok and minimal damage to the truck. What were the lights that you tossed onto the highway? They seem to be better than the reflective triangles for accidents . Great video.
A little trick I was taught in the army with all D shackles and pullies was to snug up and slightly crack it. This will stop them from tightening under strain.
@@CaseyLaDelle And why is the army wrong? Ive been doing it for over 20 years with no binding up on recovery gear and will continue to do so. Im sure the army has been doing it longer than you. if you are going to put someone's suggestion down without an explanation, you should elaborate. Placing a recovery hook facing down will cause it to dig in or grab on anything it passes over. This is wrong. Dont do that.
The shackles are meant to be tightened, if you leave slack in the bolt, under full load allows the shackle to deform. Pin keeps it from deforming, that's why the pin has a flat with a hole, you are supposed to use a tool to remove them if they tighten
@@joshmoe3680 Another 1 that knows better than the teaching of a transport unit in the army. I never once said loosen it, just crack it. I did that for my 20 years in the army and never ever deformed a shackle and never needed to use another tool to undo it, so you do what u think and Ill continue to do what Ive proven to do that works.

great video Casey stay safe
Thank you Sir!,Casey I drove truck for 26 years and I've had my share of mishaps too.Sometimes it takes a nice person like you who sees things weren't intentionally done and help people out like you did this guy and it all around makes trucking a better place to be,if people only stopped for one minute and see how far this nice deed you did for that driver will go,and if more of us did things such as you our world would be a better place.God bless!,I love you all!,Peace through strength!❤
Nice smooth recovery!
Casey, terrible conditions but well done . Stay safe.🇦🇺🍻
The army was wrong. Don’t do that.
We've all been doing it this way . 40 yrs for me, but I'm stupid just ask Casey
That was a challenge and you pulled it just right. I was telling my youngest sister about you. She grew up in southern Oregon which she truly enjoyed.
Good morning Casey have you thought about getting a new rear camera that works better? It could help you on some jobs. I always enjoy seeing the workhorse Zacklift making recoveries look easy
Holy crap, batman, how are you even walking on that? Well done, and excellent. Wowzers.
Good job Casey 👍
I just wonder if I'll be watching the short tonight like the last two videos 😂😂
I hope your shorts bring in more people to your excellent channel 😎
Yes, averaging 2.5 million new views a month.
Rain on ise is the absolute worst. Surprised none of you went down on it as well. No traffic kept the anxiety really low. Well done!
Im curious what a recovery like this would cost?
Nice work Casey. Amazing rig, and operator.
Guessing $750-$1000
