If budget complaints are a thing, the Shimano zodias 7'1" is a frog rod and it's super close to the 7'3" expride in terms of power and performance. Personally I have both and will soon have the swamp survivor. I find myself using the zodias over the expride because of the length. I find shorter rods easier to walk the frog
Yeah, I like my zodias frog rod. It is just a touch too heavy in action for me though. I’m not frogging in super heavy cover. So I built a 6’10” north fork 7 power mag bass. It’s drying on the rack right now. I think it’s going to be right in sweet spot for me.
I had an old Mojo bass and then a Legend until I tried the Expride and now one by one I am replacing my entire line up with Exprides. The 7'3"XH is great for cover and the 7'2"H is great for open water frogging along with a lot else
I have 2 rods I throw frogs on a Falcon Expert 6'11" H/F and the Falcon Cara 7'3" XH/XF... I like the shorter one for skipping and fishing lighter grass/cover and the longer one for straight up mat fishing. They're phenomenal rods but luckily these day there's so many options out there from just about every manufacturer at whatever your budget is which is freakin awesome... Great video as always keepem coming guys!!!
I have both the Swamp survivor and the Bushadder. I wasn't impressed with the Swamp survivor on imparting the walking action. But the Bushadder became the frog rod for me. It walks and sets hooks like a champ. You can pull toads out of grass and stick easily. I now have two bushadders and the swamp survivor is sitting on the racks. Note: the Swamp survivor is a great 1 to 2 oz swimbait rod when it comes to short distance tactics with both treble and heavy wide gap
So glad you did a 7.4 SC ..I like em in the victory and legend tournament. That rod (the 7.4 H in general) is one of the most versatile rods I've ever personally used. Kinda funny, but my absolute favorite frog rod is an old SC premier 6.6 H...it works the frog great and it's easy and nimble to handle. Great video man, I just got my big order from y'all, can't wait to get out and fish.
I love Dobyns and grabbed the Fury as another backup frog rod, and I ended up not liking that power setting. Its now fluro flipping rod which it does fine at. I loooove my Kaden 415 for tiny kaera frogs and go all the way to the other end of the spectrum and thro a SLX Heavy for big frogs thick cover.
Polish Peter, this is my plea for a bend test video of all of the rods in a rod line. For example bend and talk briefly about every model in the Zodias line, tatula line, fury line etc… I know it’s going to take a long time to cover them all but but you have no idea how helpful these are in our decisions of what rod to purchase!
I had the old mojo and have the original bass x as well as the victory , 7’4” heavy. They are all very similar, the mojo and bass x have, or at least had double footed guides. The victory is 4.2 oz and really sensitive, so a great flipping rod and big jig/carolina rig rod.
The Dobyns fury keeps them PINNED on every frog I use. I RARELY lose any frog fish with that rod. I beat it to hell and back and I LOVE that rod. It might be the best frog rod
Expride 7'3" XH. - burn the rest, there is NO COMPARISON 🔥🔥🔥
I second this comment! BUT Diawa BLX 7’2 H. (More like an XH)
I have many Exprides -wish i could try that one
No debate expride as a whole rod line destroys the competition
73xh Expride A is better the Expride B. The A has more tip, and balanced better even though they weigh the same.

List:
Tatula 7’4 Frog Rod
Dobyns Fury 735
St. Croix Mojo Bass 7’4
Orochi X10 Swamp Survior 7’1
Expride 7’3XH
Ones that should be mentioned:
Steez 7’4XH
P5 Destroyer TB
Dobyns Champ 735/736
ALX Toadface
I had the champ 735 and wasn’t impressed at all but I’m looking at the Megabass TB though!
MB Poker phenomenal. Also have 73 expride which is solid.
@@pewpewrn7565 yes the poker is excellent
@@Fishin4ever4life really?!
Thanks for the suggestions! We may have to include some of those in part 2

Thanks for leaving a comment and shopping with us! We agree, the 7'4" Heavy St. Croix's are legit 🤘

I’ve crushed them on my fury frog rod. 🤷♂️

Agreed!!!
Great idea
I like the daiwa rebellion 7'2 MH fast for popping frogs in sparse cover and open water it works well for heavier cover aswell
7’4” Tatula frog rod is the best paired with a tatula elite.
Great choice!
I’ll stick with my 2 frog rods. The raid frogman 🐸 and the older 21 steez frogging rod. They’re both amazing that’s my 1-2 punch that gets it done.
Talk to me about the Steez frogging rod. I am very interested.

My Expride XH checks all the boxes that are needed. Pretty happy with it. If I didn't have this i would of tried the Daiwa Steez Frog Model.
It has all the muscle you could ever need for froggin 💪
Falcon Cara XH Amistad 7’3 and Falcon Cara H Amistad 7’3. Fantastic frog rods for heavy and moderate heavy/sparse cover for under $250.
The Cara series is excellent!
Daiwa Steez 7’4” XH fast is for heavy cover, my open water frog rod is Poison Adrena 7’2” Heavy/fast and my finesse frog rod is Steez 7’2” heavy/fast.
Great choices! They may even be featured in part 2 🤔
Orochii perfect pitch is my favorite frog rod. Great for skipping under docks and has enough power for medium/heavish cover
I hear that model is heavy and unbalanced? What’s your thoughts on this? What reel do you have paired with it?
@@Fishin4ever4life definitely a little on the heavier side, but It’s not super unbalanced. I have the rod paired with a Daiwa Zillion HD
I’d like to see a Hair Jig edition of this.
ark invoker 74H+
irod genisis bobby perfect frog rod
irod quercus 72 H bobby perfect and the 79 xh bobby perfect frog rod
I love my Bobby's perfect frog rod
I frankly don't care about having gazzilion technique specific rods.
For the money, ($100) those Tattula XT rods are hard to beat.
The XT's are legit for $100!
@omniafishing I have 2 of them and I am very happy with them.
The Dobyns fury keeps them PINNED on every frog I use. I RARELY lose any frog fish with that rod. I beat it to hell and back and I LOVE that rod. It might be the best frog rod
It's a great value!
The sixth sense Vega frog rod
Dc735 & expride 172h no comparison!
So ready for the new adrena bends
They're on our list! We can't wait to get them in!
@@omniafishing 7'2H and 7'3MH insta order
That Fury rod kills me, couldn't walk a frog for more than 30 min. So tip heavy, and clunky.
Open water froggin 7'3" mhf in the shit 7'3" hf or xhf all day, i love my tatula 7'3"mhf for frogging 80% of the time
If your complaining about high end rods, first log off youtube and go to google to find another job 😅😂😂😂
