Agree totally on the Daiwa action. I bought the Daiwa Elite Medium AGS and found it stiff for finesse applications, then I ordered the Daiwa Elite Medium light non-ags and its perfect. The medium ags became my texas rig dropshot rod for largies.
I understand that this is based on fishing reports and sales, but it would make more sense to compare across price points.. maybe there are no reports/sales because nobody has seen comparisons across those price points. Not a lot of people are shopping for a NRX v. Victory.. Like others have said a NRX+ v. Steez AGS v. P5 Destroyer v. Legend Xtreme or Tatula Elite/AGS v. Victory v. Expride, etc... but loving the comparison videos. More spinning rod comparisons would be nice also.
I’m enjoying these battles and learning what others use for applications. I use my St Croix Eyecon rods for drop shot up north. Down in Florida maybe I’ll consider a something more like the Diawa. Chatterbait and top water battles
It was close but it wasn't in the top of sales, fishing reports, and customer surveys. We've gotten a lot of Expride requests though so stay tuned for us to bend all of those!
As some already said, rods built on a North Fork X-Ray blanks are the best drop shot rods. Gloomis best rods are the GLX and NRX line ups. But, I find the new NRX + rods to be too stiff because of the X-Wrap. GLX rods are more versatile and a touch softer. Not much difference in sensitivity.
*THE* best rod review video-series on whole youtube - period. I wish you could test all the rods that are out there😍, but that seems to be impossible.😢 How about a worm-rod next?
@@omniafishing If I was living in the US I would definetly buy my rods from yours. That rod action review is something not even the manufacturers seem to be able to deliver and a service above and bejond everything I would have excpected from a tackle shop. My prediction would be jig&worm rods then😅 As I've read in the comments the exprides may come as well🙏 Keep up the great work and thank you for your service. Channel-subscription guaranteed.🔥
If you are going to go Head to Head with $600 rods get a Legend Xtreme out there. You should have done Legend Bass, Expride, and the Megabass Orochi. Rods we can afford and in the same price range.
You just named some amazing rods that we'll be getting to very soon hopefully. But they weren't in the top of sales, fishing reports, and customer surveys unfortunately. Maybe if more fishing reports got filed with those rods it could move the dial.....👀
Ive got the 610 Victory. Feels great in hand, but its the worst finesse/DS rod ive ever used, because its sensitivity is horrible. A Tatula blows it away.
Quit believing all the bs about expensive fishing equipment. These guys sell snake oil and people are fools to fall for it. My grandfather was a great fisherman and never owned an expensive rod or reel.
You do realize that technology has changed big time since your grandfather was a great fisherman. Expensive gear isn’t required to catch fish, however if you have the skill, you will catch more fish with more expensive gear. Reels especially will last much longer.

I fish all the time St Lawrence big current and smallie for me any G Loomis DSR rods are the best action for what i fish for .

What a great format for demonstrating and comparing rods.

My favorite budget rod for dropshot is the BnM Sam Keaton jig rod Lite action and really built for panfish. But it is extremely sensitive for $50
I'm either adding a dedicated dropshot rod or a dedicated jerkbait rod this season and you posted both. Thank you so much.
Glad we could help out!
Should have included an Expride

Thanks. Can you do a light and heavy swimbait rod comparison.

Impossible? We just need more time! And we can't give it away quite yet but you're on the right track for what's next.....

Shimano expride 7’2 medium light is the new drop shot legend
G.loomis shimano conquest 902s SJR my drop shot rod ❤
I know it’s personal preference, but I like the nrx 852s jwr over the nrx dsr.

Ark reinforcer 6'10 ml. Literally the only answer. You don't lose fish and feel every one.
Edge Epitome Air carbon drop shot, the new Gary Loomis rods, the best, period
Ok Thomas
822DSR. Game over. Not even close.
Hi. Could you please tell me what would be the ideal numbers to look for , on a drop shot rod? Like action, power, length, etc?
Obviously there’s lots of options, a great versatile drop shot rod would be a 7'0" ML fast action.
@@omniafishing lucky me I already have one just like that! Thanks!
Honeslty i had 3 G Loomis rods NRX IMX and GCX and the GCX was ok but eww i like my St Croixs
Daiwa Steez "The One" please
Ive never thrown the ds rig, and now you're telling me there's multiple techniques? 😅

You must have got a dud because the one I have is great, especially for the price.

I bet you use a bobber and a worm too.
