I have Ford territory 2004 sx, I had to take out radio to install upper storage bin, which had been broken, I stupidly left key in ignition, which I think erases it. Once that’s done would I need to reprogram that key? I’m guessing yes.. can I follow this tutorial fir that one key? I have a laptop
You will have to have 2 keys to delete and reprogram new keys from the start. You can't get around that even at the dealer. It doesn't matter if the 2 keys haven't been programmed to the car before. As long as it's the correct Pats key and turns in the ignition before you start it will work out. It doesn't have to start the vehicle before the reprograming.
