Sweet! When I got my 2014 escape these were over $300 so I didn't bother and forgot about it until this video. Thanks for the reminder 10 years later. LOL!
Only thing I reverted to factory on mine was the temp above the sweep gauge. I was obsessing over why my truck was running 218-220 on a 100+ degree day.
Amazing video bro, a quick one here so I bought a used front radar for my 2018 F-150 Raptor. Which model in Forscan should I use to get in configured? and does it require any calibration?
just spend the 12 bucks for a year. support the devs! also, get the recommended cable. it just works. yea its a bit more $$, but notice in the console messages the cable he is using isnt even recommended
@@MikeStammer thanks! I wasn’t aware of the official sold cable. I recall watching another TH-cam video previously that just recommended finding one of these on Amazon. Definitely recommend supporting the devs! 👍🏻
The double honk is very annoying. There's no real reason to justify it other than to let your neighbors think you are trying to get their attention. Besides, the vehicle turns itself off after a few minutes of idling. So even if you forgot it was running, it'll shut off. I really don't like telling everyone I'm leaving when I forget something and run back in for a second. Or when I start it to get it cooled or heated, then have to get the family in, and it honks. Or get the groceries in and the people walking by think I'm honking at them. Auto stop/start same thing. Very annoying. It should be an option to turn on, not force you to disable every single cycle. When I forget to turn it off, the teachers at school in the kid pickup line think I'm being unsafe turning my vehicle on and off, especially as my kid is opening the door and getting in. It catches you off guard and scares you and is embarrassing also. Features some engineer with no kids, decided it was great. I don't know a single person who likes the double honk or the auto stop/start. I was told it's to save gas. I keep a gas log book, and it saves nothing. All it does it wear out the starter faster. I've noticed that forscan is different on different vehicles. There's no "as built" on many models. There's not hardly any info on so many things. Only a few things people figured out for certain ones are widely posted. Some models you have no idea what needs changed, and no one has info to help you. Other models are pretty clear. But I still haven't been able to change things I bought forscan for to begin with.
The double honk and the chimes when you open the door with the engine running.😠 Uh I know the motor is running and I opened the door myself. Got it. No need to remind me.

Totally worth it now
I still have my forskin too.
Might want to clean that.

I have the forscan but haven't messed with it yet, all i want to donis to make the ambers in the headlights brighter
@@thetruth9345 yeah most people get it just for a couple functions
Does any of this void warranty?
@@mqrkoh I would hope not.. you’re not touching the engine controller at all.. but I do have a tune on my truck for that already..
which setting shows temps? I tried making some changes but no luck. Thanks
@@protechnh I have not switched any of my settings for a while, so I don’t recall exactly but the FORscan website had the details per year.

Not sure I’ve never tried that
Will it eliminate my tire air pressure warning light, tire size was changed and it comes on. ( 2014 F-150 Eco boost )
@@oldska8ter maybe reset the tpms?
@@NovichenkoWhips but won't it just go off again? I had somebody Ford service maybe , eliminate it,...but it came back months later..hmmm
Thanks by the way

Very helpful video. Thanks
Does using forscan to make changes void the warranty?
@@genesisenriquez8033 I don’t know it doesn’t touch the engine controller
No it doesn't, but if you have any issue with a certain module and they replace it, everything you changed will not be saved in the new module.
I had to change 3 different modules to get global open/close windows in my 2023 XLT.
Which module worked for you? Link?
@@Mark300win going from memory you have to turn global windows on in the body control module and both door control modules.

fake engine noise is for electric cars trucks not for gas?

Yeah, I don’t like it either. I turn it off.
