    Your video was the second one I viewed and went with your instructions. You should feel great! You’re helping a lot of people like me. The problem with mine was the rounded screen had crap all over it. I cleaned that off with BrakeKleen. Everything else looked good even the air filter wasn’t too bad but cleaned it after I did a test run on it, just to make sure the crap was the root cause. Mine would run for very short bits of time. Now it’s running like a charm! Thanks again!

    This is a great video. Thank you so much, but I've tried all of this and the blower is in worse condition than when I started. The carburetor looks fine; gaskets look good, cleaned out the ports pretty good, got a tool to remove and clean the H and L screws, put new lines in and even tightened the screws under the housing to the carb mount and ensured it had spark. It looks fine, but it won't crank or run now. It used to just run on half choke and bog when I pulled the trigger. Now it won't even start. I'm waiting on a new Carb now but I think I screwed something up.

    Should have removed metering valve and blow it out. Careful not to lose spring

    I bought one of these 2 years ago and it never ran good, bogging down, always a problem, now it wont start. DONE with it. Just bought an Echo 25cc hand held and it works awesome and blows way stronger than the husky. Echo is the way to go. No issues and starts right up.

    You are the BEST! I wanted to ask dummy me cleaned carb had gunk like you showed but I never pulled those 2 screws now when I start it will only run on half choke should I take those screws out and clean them?

    If you ever pull out both jet screws and mix them up the longer one goes in the low idle position.

    i bought the blower 10 years ago when i was in usa. I brought with me when I moved to Indonesia 8 years ago. last month the engine blower run but need to be chooke. I've cleaned it many times but it still doesn't work well. I think the main jet needs to be cleaned. I just found out about the main jet after seeing the video you shared on youtube. I didn't find the right tool to open it. please give me information about a screwdriver or a tool to open the main jet. Or can you show me on ebay or amazon which tool should i buy. Thanks again.

    Great job! I was wondering if there was supposed to be a gasket between the carburetor and the housing? I didn't notice if you had one on there?

      Yes, the gasket is part #13 in this diagram (click on "ENGINE") to call the diagram up:

      Tool alone is $7+. A new carb with the tool is only $14.

    Are you spraying carburetor cleaner in something?

    • @outdoorpowertech7738
      @outdoorpowertech7738  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can’t remember lol but I do use carb cleaner to clean them. And compressed air. That was 2 years ago

  • @scottfirman

    I purchased a leaf blower and upon starting it, the thing starts normally, then dies. I noticed the carburetor had been replaced along with the fuel lines, filter and it still does the same thing. It acts like its running out of fuel some how. I work on this stuff all the time and have never had one do this. I even checked the spark arrestor and exhaust for blockages. My thought was the other person replaced the carburetor because thats what it was doing before. It has plenty of compression, so what is your idea on what it can be.

    • @outdoorpowertech7738
      @outdoorpowertech7738  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could still be the carb if it had been sitting for awhile before you got it. Does it die on its on at idle or when you squeeze the trigger.

    • @scottfirman
      @scottfirman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@outdoorpowertech7738 The carburetor is brand new. I think he gave up after what he did did not fix the problem. I have had the carburetor apart and I cannot find anything wrong with it. The thing starts normally, then proceeds to die after a minute of running. I will try and spray fuel into it as its dying to see if it will stay running. I must say this one has got me stumped. If I can keep it going while spraying fuel in it, I will order an OEM carburetor for it. I can tell this one is an after market one.

    • @scottfirman
      @scottfirman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@outdoorpowertech7738 I just injected fuel into the intake after I got it started and By dripping fuel into it, the thing kept running. That tells me the after market carburetor is junk. I ordered an OEM. Sometimes you have to redo what others have done. I know I have thrown a few after market carburetors in the trash. Then again, I replaced one from an Echo trimmer and it ran perfect, no adjustments. Also a leaf blower. Aftermarket is so hit and miss.

    What grade of gas you use

    do you think it would work if I got a complete carburator from Amazon?

    • @outdoorpowertech7738
      @outdoorpowertech7738  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on what’s wrong. With 2 cycle stuff it could be a number of little thing that could cause issues. No spark, low compression under 90 psi, spark screen clogged, gas filter clogged

    Is there an easy way to replace the small spring that's located in the carburetor that allows the needle to open and let fuel into the carb?. I found that it's difficult to replace that spring without losing it. How do you replace it?

    • @kennethlowe6337
      @kennethlowe6337 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use a little vaseline on the spring and the needle valve and rod to hold them in place hope this helps.
