      The two differing charlotte recordings. Think about it. That is a big clue, and goes against everything that's being said and shown. The charlotte who's watching that recording is a host. Hosts aren't supposed to be 'in the system'. So how are we seeing two versions of that?

In some point he would die and his mind (black Caleb) is transfer to his friends (white Caleb) body, and than he goes to the reeducational program and the tale about his head shot is just to uncover this. :)

      @Sensei Shredder I know, it's just crazy and tragic that Caleb is doing so much for Dolores out of this sense of purpose and realness she provides him, but ultimately I think she hates him because he's still a human and she knows his past. This whole episode I thought Dolores was "freeing people from their cages" as a kindness, until Martin was like "yeah isn't it dope how we can just make humanity destroy themselves with these profiles?"
      Really imo it just happens that her grand scheme necessitates breaking these cages, and she really just hates cages - as it's a dirty human concept- and could care about the people.

    The progression of this show is amazing. I remember when this show was just guns and cowboys with a dash of The Sims. Every time I think I’m onto something Westworld reassures that I have no clue where this is going.
    1. I like how Dolores leaked everyone’s info and exposed them to who they really are similar to what happened to them in Westworld.
    2. I do think Dolores 2.0 (Charlotte) will turn on Dolores.
    3. This is too far to predict at the moment but I do feel like Maeve or Bernard will bring things back to order in the end but Dolores May escape through a clone.
    4. My favorite part about this episode was when Caleb got on Genre and the roller coaster of emotions he goes through with music included to match the mood.

      I must be misunderstanding you... Serac wants to protect Rehoboam, not stop it. He designed it for the purpose of keeping people in their loops. Delores is the agitator, since she is not in the system, nor can she be predicted even if she was because she is not human.

    • @Tyler-qk1xn
      @Tyler-qk1xn 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the agitator turns out to be Caleb rather than Delores since he is supposedly human and a part of the system. By breaking the loop initially and becoming part of Delores master plan, he no longer has his life planned out for him. I think that was why there was such a strong reaction by Dempsey and why it could be part of him saying he’s worse than all of them and the “you did it” part. Now I do believe however it could also be that Caleb was in fact the one that killed his own friend. But too many times was something similar mentioned and it portrays Caleb to be some kind of monster we have yet to actually see.

    • @michaelgorby

    7:26 Bernard may be the key because Delores-Wyatt’s plan may involve deaths of all the Delorii, including herself (starting with the suicide of Martin-Delores).
    This would explain why Martin-Delores tells Bernard, “you’re the only one we can’t replace”, because her plan requires her death and if she dies, then she can’t bring him back, because...
    ...as Delores keeps reminding him, 'You live as long as the last person who remembers you' and their unique bond allows them to bring the other back by passing the fidelity test.
    As Bernard is the only one who truly remembers her, then he's the only one who can bring her back....and crucially without Wyatt (who was Ford's creation).
    If Delores-Wyatt's plan works i.e. hosts win a safe place in the real world, then Bernard could bring her back at the end as her untainted original self without Wyatt, free of the memory and guilt of what was needed to be done (by Wyatt) to secure her freedom and that of the other hosts.

    The trailer flashed a return to westworld. So I'm guessing they go back there (and perhaps to get or stop the getting of the data)? I suspect that some of this is mirror world simulation, and that at some point he actually got the data.
    There's some trickery there because clearly he IS able to predict some of Delores' actions despite her not being in the system. Also, man in black says at some point "i'm going to save the world', so I look forward to stand off between him, and delores, maybe!

    I don't know if it's something wrong with my settings but I feel like the audio design this season is really bad.
    Things happens on the screen but they feel distant and muted, even the explosions in this episode were bland and almost inaudible and the result was that all scenes are really slow and boring.
    Also music is always louder than dialogues.
    There is also a lack of rhythm that makes everything sluggish.

      @mpaso6634 4 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      No its not you, everything this season is super muted and particularly this episode was painfully slow. Their attempt at trying different genres was sophomoric. All the genres were just a clip of a popular song and a weird filter/edit on the lights and Caleb opening his mouth up like a gold fish every 20 seconds.

      @@mpaso6634 Saying genres was sophomoric is the perfect description! Genre looked like I was watching a college art project where they budgeted everything into the car chase over the actual look/feel of the episode. The concepts could be decent but they appear too rushed/not flushed out & spelled out so quick. The actual cinematography, audio, and overall concept (I guess?) are really falling flat on me this season. I did like the actual locations they decided to shoot in for the "future" though. Part of me wonders if this is all filler for next season which will be much better? But why not go all in or end it at season 2? Its so upsetting.

      I really liked the first 4 episodes but this one was the worst westworld episode ever. Slow, useless drugged aaron paul scenes, it felt empty with no substance. I just didn’t connect with seracs story. I don’t know if it’s the editing or something... It just wasn’t up to the high budget westworld standards. Plus all the special effects when the weird white eclipse appears look very amateurish. It felt like they had no budget left when this episode was done. And finally, its one of the few episodes where the ending was so plain and boring. Like I wasn’t even excited to see what Dolores was going to do next. I wasn’t craving to see the next episode and usually that’s a bad sign... at least for me!

And after Maeve getting easily dispatched my Musashi via katana stab it didnt make since why Delores' body could take so much damage. Especially since Maeve can control other host and didnt need to fight him in the first place. I know some may say " but Maeve even said she lost her power you idiot" when in all actuality Maeve said that when she was in a a computer simulator not surrounded by host. Plus went on to show that she can indeed control electronics in the real world by turning the Yakuza guns against them. • @maplenerd22
      @maplenerd22 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@kanesn0633 - I don't think there's enough information to say those are continuity errors. We know that Hosts are just machines with consciousness. How they react to bodily harm are just programs triggered by senors. We also know that Delores has the ability to create host bodies at will. So who's to say she couldn't have planned and created a body with infused blood in the first episode so that she can appear "human" to Caleb, but then in the fifth episode be in a brand new body where there's no blood infusion. As for Maeve, we really don't know if her powers in the park would work on other hosts, particularly Delores in the real world. She hasn't shown it yet this season. Also keep in mind, Maeve doesn't have control over hosts that are sentient, for example Ghost Nation. She couldn't control them in Season 2 even though she spoke to them in their language. What we do know is Maeve's body and code is under some sort of control of Serac. Afterall we have seen that he implemented a kill switch in her, so it's safe to assumed Serac didn't give her unfettered abilities like she had in the park.

    The "mysterious hooded man" in Caleb's vision seems to be the same as the "high profile target" in the same flashback. And that's Enrico Colantoni, his character is named Whitman (info from a light search on imdb). Since Enrico is not a bad actor, and this is kinda his genre, I doubt that this is just a cameo, and I think he may be a key player in Caleb's arc. 🤔

    No simulation in a simulation, I guess, but that Rehoboam has outgrown his creators, as Dolores did with hers.
    Albeit like in case of Ford, Serac is actually not the creator of Rehoboam and thus has only control, but no real understanding of "him", as did Ford with Arnold's creation.
    And the killing of Dampsey(?) against the simulation was not a choice, a white space, but simply being as problematic as his brother just to a lower degree, but one that will get him later nonetheless. Maybe Rehoboam has already identified him as problem and Dolores is already a part to correct this problem.
    What if Rehoboam comes to the conclusion that humanity is not worth being saved, or that Dolores's kind is superior and the future?
    I'm a bit of all the people who are on this Matrix-trip, unable to fathom something else. But if it is really simpl a simulation in a simulation...what a bummer. That would be even worse as Galactica or Lost.
    I'd love to see that Serac has to face the fact that he is the agitator who is about to destroy the world.

    Depending on how the technological advancement of Rehoboam lines up with the timeline of events occurring within Westworld (the actual park), Arnold could have been deemed an outlier but Ford certainly must have been. Its predictive powers should have suggested that Ford's actions within Season 1 would lead to host consciousness and thus lead to Serac's present threat- should he not have intervened before Ford enacted his plan? Because, with the ability to predict decades into the future, it would logically detect a major disruption at that point. Ford likely would be an outlier and therefore unpredictable and not controllable, but I wonder whether Serac investigated him at all.

      I thought the same thing. Here's what I commented ...
      It strikes me there are a lot of similarities between this season of WW and Asimov's Foundation series (including the trilogy written after his death). Maybe the writers were fans and are drawing on that as inspiration. 1) an individual (Seldon in the books) attempts to create a way to predict events by understanding human behavior. 2) Chaos causes problems with the predictions and must be eliminated (in the books the Chaos worlds are quarantined) 3) There are robots that the system can't account for
      It's not an exact parallel but there are definite similarities

    I don't feel like Ash really shot him there at the end (unless they seriously messed up) because she was standing on his right side towards the front and the only wound we see is from his left side. Not to mention they intentionally zoomed the camera way in on Caleb while he was freaking out which would make think that it's meant for a reveal later. I think that it was either Caleb or Dolores that fired and I think it was Dolores because she saw Ash raise her gun and wanted to change her loop.
    Then again maybe I'm wrong and we just could see which way he was facing in the moment cause the camera was on Caleb's face. I just have this feeling that won't go away that it's got to be one of them cause they usually pay attention to small details like that. It could also easily have been Caleb who shot him without even knowing it because he is still a pawn of Serac's and he goes into a trance when he is made to kill someone and then completely forgets about it. That's why we see him comforting his buddy the same way he is doing with Dempsey and they both have that same look on their face. That theory doesn't make a lot of sense though cause why wouldn't Serac just have Caleb kill Dolores (although that could be why he was handed that bag at the end)...

    The fifth pearl is teddy. At the end of season 2 Delores saves Teddy's mind in one of the pearls. Who better else does she trust in her missions. Teddy has been loyal to Delores up-to season 2 which is similar, to Caleb's loyalty. She trusts these two men more than the other hosts or humans.
    It could be Ford (Anthony Hopkins) as his character was mentioned that he might return to the show this season. He could be the guy in China and come to think of it, ford spent most of his time with delores. Hence she could use his help to take down Serac as he is the most experienced tech in Westorld together with Bernand. It also explains why she saved Anorld as well.

    This is definitly the most anticlimax car chasing and shooting scene I ever watched. The question is, which Serac is the one has been locked up. The one who wanted to murder Dempsy, or the one who wanted to stop the murdering? Evidently the murdering was commited successfully.

      Me and my boyfriend felt the same way on the car chase scene. Felt like the slowest and yet most cliché car chase/shoot out we have ever scene. Also felt like the genres were just stylistic throwaways, a song and a filter on the lights apparently equals a genre. Worst episode yet.

      @M Lasso I liked the episode, didn't mind the car chase, and actually really liked the Genre aspect (thought that was such a fun and Interesting plot device [if that could even be Called a plot device]), but I just wish they had done More with it. The music and lights / color grade aspect was cool and all, but I think it could made it even more interesting if like it made you perceive everyone around you Speaking like each genre too, and made sound effects/ just sounds in general sound like each genre and stuff

      How do you expect a car chase by computer controlled cars (optimized to go the best speed and route) look ? Exactly like this....
