Yeah it feels off for a few reasons. 1, this is the second time a version of Delores tells William "welcome to the end of the game", which feels a little redundant. 2, William with his unstable mental status was shaping up to be a wild card for the next season, yet he's killed in such a unceremonious way in a post-credit scene. 3, this death retrospectively trivialized William's arc (given how much time we spent watching his therapy sessions and all).

My theory is Dolores has a backup plan in Bernard to resurrect her (and anyone else from the Sublime) and that season 4 will contain a lot of Hale, Host William, and her new army of hosts versus Bernard, Stubbs, Caleb, Maive, and Dolores. Should be fun, a battle to save or destroy mankind.

That motel room in the end is just a replica and maybe the end has yet to come. Maybe part of some experiment by Delos or some other group. I also wouldn't be surprised if William either: a. died a long time ago and we only saw two host Williams fighting b. still out there (and we still saw two hosts fighting) There's no way they'd kill an important char like that in a post-credit scene. Almost half the stuff we see is misleading. Damn, I hope corona doesn't get the show cancelled but it will be very difficult to get new seasons of any TV going if people are too scared to meet up and film.
Well, there are many details like this that don't make sense in this show. Like guards dumping entire P90 mags into Dolores who's walking and keep missing every bullets. The fact that the yakuza guy also didn't hit anyone with his FMG-9, the hosts have supernatural abilities but Dolores loses a fight against Maeve, firearm vs sword, and fails to dump an entire mag in her belly. Same for the last episode, the armed goons just can't shoot Dolores for shit by outnumbering her from every angles. Guns making weird electric noises when it's just regular AR-15. 40mm grenade launchers shooting heat seeking missiles with tons of fuel left in such a tiny thing. Apparently, regular electric vehicles are quite bulletproof, but armored police vans have non-armored glass. The army sucks so bad that a simple EMP in the last episode makes everything explode and no one is prepared for this, while we already know this issue since at least the beginning of the 2000s. But that's just for the fights.
Same here, after S2 I had no motivation to watch S3, I'm here out of curiosity of how the series developed and to be honest seem like I didn't missed much

Delores did not "brutally murder Jerry." Jerry swung a golf club at her image and missed badly which caused him to fall into his own pool and smack his noggin on the edge killing him. Delores never even touched him.
I guessing 250 years in the future...which was the widest projection. I'm also guessing the end is the time that season 2 ending took place in when William finds the old defunct foundry.
Loved the most of the season 1, beraly managet do get through season 2, never watched season 3 so decided to watch this to see if I miss anything good. Obvs I didnt. Good video.
I thought it was a real missed opportunity to not play the "this world" theme from season one during Delores' final monologue about seeing the beauty in the world

@@DR-xt5jq I agree that scenario it's quite unlikely. But all memories prior to fidelity test for William could be just printed as data in his pearl, no need for simulation or real life recreation. I think it was state that humans host only malfunction in reality, they still work fine in simulations as explainned by Ford. Bernard and his memories, as an example, does not mean Ford built him a host son to later recreate his death, but just printed this data in his pearl.
I didn't think of that, she totally should! Especially since Bernard (or Arnold I don't remember) said that what's real is what's irreplaceable, and she's setting out to replace them, which would be a fun thought process.

First two seasons was groundbreaking the third season is forgettable imho, when you’ve got a come and watch videos to explain it to you that’s how you know it’s made too clever and complicated for its own good .
This season sucked so bad that it's too late to fix it. Sadly, I am done with it. I'll keep rewatching S01 as a standalone show, and easily pretend the rest does not exist.
No, the author of the video is totally wrong about Jerry. First, he was NOT brutally murdered by Dolores but rather died in a freak accident when he hit his head with a golf stick falling into a pool. Second, Jerry did NOT die in Singapore but rather in Beihai, China, as evident by the captions in episode 1, season 3.
The Solomon's strategy was never used. Caleb simply erased the system, so no human destruction. And looking at the state of the bedroom and the "brain scanner" that Bernard is showing a 100 year lapse is impossible. I guess it's just 5 years as Caleb is confirmed to appear in season 4
Bernard coming back from the sublime cover in dust could still happend a hundread years in the future and Caleb being confirmed for next season doesnt contradict with that. Remember we saw something similar in last scene of season 2 with no continuity for that yet. Would that mean Bernard won't appear next season? Or perhaps could a remaining copy of Dolores rebuild him from memory again? Just a logic excersice on posibilities, since I also believe Bernard it's not been more than a couple years with the "brain scanner". Also I asumed all we saw in last chapter was actually part of Solomon's plan as he either put something in Dolores mind or instruct her something just before the EMP.

@@homer54kid yeah, there is two working copies of Dolores, Lawrence and Hale, plus two innactive pearls, Conners in Hale's hands and Musashi recovered by team Maeve. All of wich needs further develop. Still I dont know for sure if out of the five pearls Hale-Dolores retrieves at the end of S2, one was Bernard. Cause it seems to me that Dolores explains she built him from memory by saying "I remember you once before, so I remembered you again.". This ambiguity could mean there's yet another host copy of Dolores.

I thought and still do believe that Hale is something different. I think Dolores tried to make a host either without a pearl, or with a pearl integrated into the body. I think she tried to blend the Hale data and a copy of herself together to create something entirely new. Not Dolores, and not Hale... hence the fidelity insanity and personality troubles. I think she trashed that original Hale body, printed a new body for Halores, and had her place the pearl into the new Dolores body. If I'm right, that also means Laurence wasn't the final pearl, and there is still one out there. Maybe her father, just kept safe and alive or maybe she transferred him and the others who owned the Pearl's to the sublime. I also think, maybe that is why those bodies were chosen. Perhaps each pearl has a set of blueprints/serial that coincides with a particular body model and only works *properly* in that body. Idk, these are just my random thoughts.
Cody Burgess we just find out in the finale that Delores was the first that actually worked while all others failed. Meaning she was always around during the first days. We just learned of this though.
We have already seen Dolores outside her narrative, in the actual real world, while westworld was running as shown in scenes of S2. The overall world of the park's host adjust to work in abscent of some of its characters. Yet I think, but not for sure, that Dolores it's been always in the same role as the innocent rancher's daughter up to the Wyatt's actualization.
They said a few times that her role as the ranchers daughter was her new role. She had only been the ranchers daughter for a bit. Season 1 rewatch you’ll see.
Kalvin Braddock-Foster she was the ranchers daughter for young William and Old William that is at least 30 years of Ranchers daughter. Somewhere in the middle she was also the host for a military training park?

The human data storage, the Forge, was supposedly destroyed submerged by Dolores on purpose to deny humans the immortality. Still it seems it was in ruins yet somehow working many years later for the fidelity test on William. Maybe it was waterproof storage or maybe consistency and logic won't always fully apply to a TV show or film. Now, how did Hale-Dolores to recover the data to build William? Did she read his "book"? Or did she build him from memory like Bernard?
New theory bernard fidelity test is the entire thing ford is in control and has built the entire world... Not just westworld but futureworld is what season 3 was it was a test and there still going
The fact that rehoboam is never mentioned in westworld 1 and 2 is a big flaw in the series. Obviously the writers came up with the idea of rehoboam after at least ww1. The difference in technology in the outside world of ww1 and ww2 is just too different from ww3.
Why would the sublime have the answers? And to me it keeps looking like bernard has a jacket on with a zipper when he wakes up all dusty but when he puts in the device he has a suit jacket on 🧐🤔

If they really killed off the real William that's disappointing, he would have made a good wildcard. In stead they will probably do the human-host hybrid flipping sides like Chalores again.
It's a shame so much just doesn't add up this season. William might as well have committed suicide by walking into the Delos basement with just a pistol that won't do sh*t to a self aware host. If they had to do it, couldn't we have had a duel with William and gunslinger that riffs off the Futureworld ending, only we have to wait 2 years to find out which one walked out.

First, he was NOT brutally murdered by Dolores but rather died in a freak accident when he hit his head with a golf stick falling into a pool. Second, Jerry did NOT die in Singapore but rather in Beihai, China, as evident by the captions in episode 1, season 3.

The Solomon's strategy was never used. Caleb simply erased the system, so no human destruction. And looking at the state of the bedroom and the "brain scanner" that Bernard is showing a 100 year lapse is impossible. I guess it's just 5 years as Caleb is confirmed to appear in season 4
Bernard coming back from the sublime cover in dust could still happend a hundread years in the future and Caleb being confirmed for next season doesnt contradict with that. Remember we saw something similar in last scene of season 2 with no continuity for that yet. Would that mean Bernard won't appear next season? Or perhaps could a remaining copy of Dolores rebuild him from memory again?
Just a logic excersice on posibilities, since I also believe Bernard it's not been more than a couple years with the "brain scanner".
Also I asumed all we saw in last chapter was actually part of Solomon's plan as he either put something in Dolores mind or instruct her something just before the EMP.

This, only as an example, could be one of the most notorious cases showing that reality logics will never fully apply in a TV show. This is basics of analizing a ficition work. Utterly will happen whatever serves the narrative the writers want to fulfill.
On the other hand basic physics, like gravity as example, could still be or not present, yet this is unrelated to your lack of a proper logic. The power source of the brain scanner could last whatever they need to, and it could be justified in any super technological way if at some point it's required.

@@homer54kid yeah, there is two working copies of Dolores, Lawrence and Hale, plus two innactive pearls, Conners in Hale's hands and Musashi recovered by team Maeve. All of wich needs further develop.
Still I dont know for sure if out of the five pearls Hale-Dolores retrieves at the end of S2, one was Bernard. Cause it seems to me that Dolores explains she built him from memory by saying "I remember you once before, so I remembered you again.". This ambiguity could mean there's yet another host copy of Dolores.

They brought the pearl to Maeve, not Serac. Remember that Serac accused Maeve of keeping the identity of Caleb from him and she as much as admitted it.
I thought and still do believe that Hale is something different. I think Dolores tried to make a host either without a pearl, or with a pearl integrated into the body. I think she tried to blend the Hale data and a copy of herself together to create something entirely new. Not Dolores, and not Hale... hence the fidelity insanity and personality troubles.
I think she trashed that original Hale body, printed a new body for Halores, and had her place the pearl into the new Dolores body.
If I'm right, that also means Laurence wasn't the final pearl, and there is still one out there. Maybe her father, just kept safe and alive or maybe she transferred him and the others who owned the Pearl's to the sublime.
I also think, maybe that is why those bodies were chosen. Perhaps each pearl has a set of blueprints/serial that coincides with a particular body model and only works *properly* in that body.

Cody Burgess we just find out in the finale that Delores was the first that actually worked while all others failed. Meaning she was always around during the first days. We just learned of this though.
We have already seen Dolores outside her narrative, in the actual real world, while westworld was running as shown in scenes of S2. The overall world of the park's host adjust to work in abscent of some of its characters. Yet I think, but not for sure, that Dolores it's been always in the same role as the innocent rancher's daughter up to the Wyatt's actualization.
They said a few times that her role as the ranchers daughter was her new role. She had only been the ranchers daughter for a bit. Season 1 rewatch you’ll see.
Kalvin Braddock-Foster she was the ranchers daughter for young William and Old William that is at least 30 years of Ranchers daughter. Somewhere in the middle she was also the host for a military training park?

The human data storage, the Forge, was supposedly destroyed submerged by Dolores on purpose to deny humans the immortality. Still it seems it was in ruins yet somehow working many years later for the fidelity test on William.
Maybe it was waterproof storage or maybe consistency and logic won't always fully apply to a TV show or film.
Now, how did Hale-Dolores to recover the data to build William? Did she read his "book"? Or did she build him from memory like Bernard?

The fact that rehoboam is never mentioned in westworld 1 and 2 is a big flaw in the series. Obviously the writers came up with the idea of rehoboam after at least ww1. The difference in technology in the outside world of ww1 and ww2 is just too different from ww3.

It's a shame so much just doesn't add up this season. William might as well have committed suicide by walking into the Delos basement with just a pistol that won't do sh*t to a self aware host.
