    SYNOPSIS
A 30 day, 620 km canoe journey through the expansive wilderness of Côte-Nord, Quebec. The route is designed to traverse the headwaters of the Romaine River, a river seeing significant change as part of Quebec’s major energy project Plan Nord, followed by the descent of the little-known Aguanish River. The goal of the route is to gain a first-hand perspective of the land of wild rivers as we paddle and portage our way across the Labrador-Quebec plateau to the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
This trip was supported by the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and Mountain Equipment Co-op.

Another great video! What a wild trip, beauty videws. Nice to see you guys mention how much Hydro Quebec is Fu*king over NL, it's insane, I thought that deal was over, I had no idea it lasted until 2035 or whatever you said.... terrible for NL.
With your battery bank, I find with electronics, if the thing is powered off when it gets wet, generally it will work again once dried out, the trouble happens when the thing is powered on then gets wet... Anyways I'm getting caught up on your trip and loving it !

On that stretch of water where you were windbound, we hit a rock and grounded more than a half mile from shore. No bottom visible bow or stern. Two of us had to crowd into the stern seat to float the canoe off.

Beautiful country isn’t it lucky to see caribou we used to have over 700 thousand in the george river herd we would be hunting and hundreds of them running around us haven’t seen that in around 10 years the fishing is the only thing that is still great in Labrador but that’s declining as well

Best to learn from others mistakes so thanks for posting and showing the mistakes so others can learn. Amazing balance when so swamped you had no freeboard but yet didn't flip. Well done.

Sadly, this whole HQ-Newfoundlands deal has been spin by politicians way to much. HQ took most of the risks and got very lucky. In that perspectives, the money Newfoundland made isn’t worst than the money the government make when a private mine pays some royalties. And with the Muskat falls disaster that the whole country had to bail out, hopefully we can put this behind us and rebuild some more constructive relations.

“This is no joke. You really have to be committed to eating this much oatmeal in the morning.” Always looking for new and easy breakfast ideas. I have found instant oatmeal packets just don’t keep me going long after eating. So, I whipped up a batch of “bushwhacked oats”. Yes, you really have to be committed to eating that much oatmeal! But, it does keep you full and energized for many hours and tastes really good.
