    This is the most comprehensive review comparing all these hardware streaming solutions.
    Over the past couple years, I’ve been using software solutions- mainly Ecamm Live and Switcher Studio.
    These make the case of a one-time purchase vs. subscription model products.
    Keep up the great content.

    The cost of the YoloBox is higher than any of the others by about $300 in the US. Cost is a factor that wasn’t talked about, and something you might want to mention going forward. I was sold on the Yolo till I was the cost.

    The RGB had about 6 updates since it was on the market since November: they added 50, 25 and 24 fps in and output after asking within about a month so that's quite a plus.

    @Geeky Nerdy Techy Regarding Yolobox and (multi-channel)-streaming. I was under the impression that the Yolobox only streams to the YoloLiv server. And that server will than redistribute to TH-cam, Facebook etc or multiple of these. Otherwise a single SIM card would probably not beeing able to feed multiple stream destinations. That on the other hand means that you have to put a lot of confidence into the future of that manufacture / provider. If they die or change their service portfolio you will be stuck, and the box won’t stream to anywhere, even if the box itself still woul work fine. I have had this drama with some other manufacturers who did bind the hardware to their propriatary online services.

    • @v-em
      @v-em 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep a few changed things about facebook for example. As long as yolobox support a custom rtmp server it should be fine though rtmp is pretty much the worst streaming protocol out there

    I think the ATEM mini ISO is king right now, if you can afford it. Being able to record all 4 video inputs, the 2 audio inputs, and the output as separate tracks that can be edited later just seems like a no brainer to me.
    I'm kinda holding out to see if they have something else coming out soon but I really want to buy the ISO. However there's still room to fit more in current mini footprint.
    In the meantime I'm currently using the mini and OBS combo. Then I have a travel router that connects to my cellphone for remote transmission. It works really well.
    Had the Feelworld or RGBlink been available when I purchased my mini, I would have went with one of those instead. I even think they are a better option than the ATEM mini pro at this point. However if you are making recordings on top of or instead of streaming, you just can't beat the ISO.

    If all you need is something to switch cameras when streaming to TH-cam the ATEM mini is great. I use it connected to a Chromebook with a few cameras and another Chromebook for displaying web pages, photos, or presentations and it works perfectly using just the switcher. Using a PC or Mac adds more functionality as you also get the extra features in the software.

  • @ozcinemarob

    Great comparison - very comprehensive. It's a shame though, that none of these has some sort of an indicator beacon output options so that something like an LED indicator light can be mounted on each camera to highlight which camera is currently being streamed - this would be a godsend for the presenter so he/she can identify which camera they should look at.

    Great comparison, looking forward to hear about the Mini+! Got an RGBLink mini and I dig it a lot, missing an audio-sync mode tho.
    Got a little problem with it - hooked up a Canon 650D, iPhone 6s and a an iSaw GoPro and also my MacBook all devices via HDMI to the 4 HDMI in on the Mini.
    All cams output 1080 and should do 16:9 ratio, still my Canon 650D have a black frame around the picture making it smaller (showing through program via USB). Also the output from my MacBook into the Mini is a bit blurred kind of, not as sharp as I'd hope it would be. My iPhone have black edges left and right while the GoPro outputs a perfect 16:9 with no black borders.
    Sry for the long comment, do you know what the cause might be and how to fix it? Thanks & keep up the good work!

    • @GeekyNerdyTechy
      @GeekyNerdyTechy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Feelworld Livepro for me all the way. I stream conferences and what I need I a simple multicamera switcher, big buttons and built-in monitor if needed. It needs to look professional (not like a large phone or a computer keyboard lol). I do not need to control it through software, just nice big buttons. The fact that it can output multiview on both HDMI and USB ports is fantastic too, since I can use it for videoconferencing, showing all speakers at once. As far as audio, I use a dedicated mixer for that. The rest is all done with OBS. Thank you for a great review 👍

    Live pro has some audio sync issues which made it unusable for me.
    Atem mini is ok if you have a powerful computer to handle the encoding.
    Mini pro is great because it just works and does the encoding on board so you don’t need a computer. Downside is that there’s no headphones socket so you’ll need a desk to mix any audio sources effectively.
    YOLO I haven’t used.

  • @randomgeocacher
    @randomgeocacher 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think BMD indirectly fixed some of the limitations of the Atem Mini Pro indirectly by allowing you to edit streaming.xml, where you can do some things you cannot do in the UI. So that the exact same stream (encoded the same, same image etc) can now be streamed to more than destination.
    Don’t have to pro myself so no experience of my own ^_^

    Why aren't there any USB (webcam) mixers in the same form? It seems to be a non-existent product, but unnecessarily omitted from the consumer market.

      They both look very similar picture quality wise. I can’t tell a difference.

      I think this video misses out on some very important topics for livestreaming, particularly for your use case with the ability to overlay on the video streams with upstream and downstreaming keying. (Think about pulling up the name of a psalm on screen during the service, or adding lower thirds, etc.) Unless the other models allow for Upstream and downstream keying on the fly, then the ATEM Mini Pro is the only one you should consider. Check out AJtheCEO 's channel. He is doing exactly what you are looking for for Church service live streams.

    Thanks so much for your video, it really helpful. My question is can FEELWORLD LIVEPRO L1 work with SONY HXR-MC2500 because the camera only output 570i and not 1080.

      I believe the minimum is 720p resolution.

    Has the "ATEM Mini 45-60 Minute Audio Drift Streaming Issue" been fixed, as you said in this video, or is it still an issue? Thanks

    I thought all need to do with Atem Pro was get the key from Facebook etc. and stream? You seem to say a third party service is required... I might be misunderstanding. Looking seriously at the Atem mini Pro. Plus I like that I can put an HD monitor on the output in preview mode and see all of my sources in preview while streaming program out via Ethernet. I would be using this in live situations with a dedicated audio, two cameras and myself TDing the events. Does the Atem mini Pro sound like proper solution to you? Any input is welcome.
    Thanks!

      You can stream directly to the web with a key but to only one service. If you want to multi-cast you’ll need a paid service.

    Hey man! Great video thank you so much
    Is it true that de L1 gets really hot after a while of using?
    I would like to buy the rgblink but the shipping to Mexico (where I am from) are a little more expensive.
    Would you recommend buying L1 instead of rgblink?

      They all get warm. I had no issues with the LivePro on a glass table after 6 hours of use. The heat sync on the RGB is probably a helpful option depending on your location.
