We just bought an ex-l and the first thing i noticed was how smooth the cvt operates even under heavy acceleration, and how well tuned the suspension was. These two things made this car the smoothest vehicle ive ever rode in.

@@CrazyAutoChris thank you. I have Honda Civic 2009 and I drove since 2012. I only change purge valve and have paint issues all Honda Civic 2007-2009 engine and transmission still running good. Honda is my choice all time.

I haven't tried locking the doors while the vehicle is on and the fob is outside of the vehicle in your hands. Just select lock. I haven't attempted this yet so let us know.

Yes you can turn off the keyless access beep sound. I have vehicle settings video that share all the settings.

Really helping video but I have a question. I know how to open windows and sunroof from the remote on exl trim but I couln"t find how to close them from remote. Is it possible?
You can't close the windows/moonroof from the fob remote.

It's a safety thing that can't be overridden.

Hi Chris, thanks for the video, we previously owned a 2021 CR-V, but traded for an 2024 HR-V EX-L. My question is, can I program my car with to my garage door opener? I could the CR-V, but can't find anything that says you can do it with the HR-V.

Just got me 2023 hrv. So far most of the features I can understand and work. But what is the L gear on my shifter???

boss, we bought this car for my wife and recently I bought wireless charger mount for her and we were surprised: we can't find cigarette charger outlet to install that mount. is it because HRVs dain't come with cigarette lighter outlet anymore? a bit embarassed. If I'm wrong can you tell us where is that outlet located?
You're correct, there's not a 12 volt plug in the second generation HRVs
I have the same vehicle and all you have to do to turn off the day time running lights are turn the light switch to "off" when the vehicle is running. The switch will then go back to the auto position but the light will be off even at night. To turn them back on you then turn the switch to off again and the day time running lights will come back on. Ive never had to hit the parking brake or turn the car off.

Any insight on my new 2023 hrv was running and I was outside of it talking to someone pry about 10 minutes and it auto shut off? Anyway to disable that?
The Remote start does run for 10 minutes and can be extended by repeating the process. Lets say that five minutes past and then you repeated the process, the remote start will run for the total of 15 minutes.
Just got my EXL … but the settings for locks are in the infotainment screen not the dash. Comment????
Correct, the EXL has a different touch screen but you can change the settings with the same direction.
Is this daytime running light trick enabled on all new Hondas or just the HRV
Works on all new Honda. I have tested and confirmed on Civics, Accords, CRVs, Odysseys, Pilots, Passports, and HRVs. Thank you for watching

No powered tailgates on the HRV American Honda Market. The tailgate button on the fob is to just unlock it while keeping the doors locked. Thank you for watching

While connecting a Phone through a USB port for Android Auto it says unsupported I tried a different cable, and it still says the same. what solution will be for this and which USB cable should I use for my Honda HRV Lx?
I would double-check for updates on the phone. Then check if you're using an aftermarket cable. Sometimes, they don't work.

Yes, the EXL trim has the bigger 9-inch color touch-screen with volume knob, customizable settings and smart shortcuts. I didn't have one on the lot at the time of making the video
I have a question which type of gas station should I go to when filling up? BP, Exxon,Mobil, Sunoco, amaco, gulf, Citco, My ConocoPhillips, speedway, etc?
It's recommended regular unleaded gasoline

No Homelink/garage door opener standard in the 23 HRVs.

Hi, I was wondering what the "S" gear is? Is it like a "sport mode" or something else?
"S" Mode does the following on the 2023 Honda HRVs (P.409 Owners Manual)
● Better acceleration.
● Used to increase engine braking.
● Used when going up or down hills.

That's kind of the whole point when using the remote start to have the heater come on.
How about getting the pump from the gas station out of the car? Just got gas for the first time and couldn’t get the pump out, ended up hitting the trigger and pulling, spilling some gas. 😮
There's no trick to it.
Question so the trunk button doesn’t automatically open it on any version of the hrv? It’s just to unlock it.

My friend bought a 2024 honda hrv this afternoon.. I was pressing buttons holding buttons on her remote fob and now her remote start isn’t working. What did it do? (I was pressing and holding lock unlock and other buttons…)

@@CrazyAutoChris I went from a passport elite in 4 years I only had 33 k miles on it, to this 2024 compact i knew about some of the options that I wasn’t getting on the 24 HRV have to say the longer I have this car the more I love this compact car, also I think it attractive , it’s a fabulous car for a compact, i test drove several, the HRV was a clear winner in many categories for me. Also it’s a 5 star crash rating I’m told.

How do I pre start the car ?
Remote start is only standard on the Sport and EX-L trim.
How do you turn off the opt-in features in a HRV 2024 model? I don't want them turned on as my minute by minute location is none of Honda's business.
Which opt in features are you asking to turn off?
Hi @@CrazyAutoChris I want to turn of ALL of the opt-in features. Recording and reporting the vehicle's location, recording and reporting the speed of the car, and a couple others ... there's about 5 of them called out in the terms of service document on the Honda site. Thanks for the response.

Why??? I haven’t even hit 2,000 miles yet.

@@santan546 Turning off the vehicle and waiting a few moments before turning it back on.
Some helpful info, I spoke with the maintenance department of the Honda dealership, and explained to them that after approximately 1300 miles, my “ maintenance is due” light turned on. And I have no idea why, after only 1300 miles.
-Keep in mind, I purchased the vehicle last October, so it is less than a year old. That is what confused me.
-They said that the computer registers maintenance, by the mileage, or if it has not been in the shop for maintenance within six months.
I kind of understand because my situation is not common, it is going to turn a year-old in a few weeks, and has less than 2000 miles --so they explain to me that the car sensors if it has not had any maintenance, it will give a warning light, not taking into account, the low mileage, but the fact that it has been almost a year -
I know this isn’t uncommon situation, but maybe it will help others, because there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. It was just a warning light that needed to be reset.
@@CrazyAutoChris not trying to be funny, but, there has been times where the vehicle has been turned off for a week, and then turned back on, so that had nothing to do with the maintenance light. But thank you for the suggestion.
I recently purchased a Honda HRV 2023. I feel like the car is very slow. I haven't driven on the highway. I am a little worried. Does anyone have experience driving this model on a highway 100km/hr?
The 2022 Honda HRV with a smaller engine (1.8L 4 cylinder) had a speed limiter/governor of 116 MPH. Im guessing that the 23 would be breaking any top speeds as well.

@@CrazyAutoChris Yeah, I finally it last night before I was about to give up. Why is the 12 volt plug at the rear and not on the dashboard? Unfortunately the air compressor that I have isn't long enough to reach the front tires because the volt plug is at the rear. Terrible design choice! I had to use my truck's volt plug to pump air into the hr-v's front tires. Any suggestions to resolve this inconvenience in the future?

Today I did , don’t know the proper name for the feature, where the car stops on its own when another vehicle is in front, then goes when that came in front of you goes never using the gas pedal or a brake pedal, trusting the car, for me it was scary. What say you
There could have been a couple of features. Im assuming it was the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow, using the cruise control, and it sensed the vehicle in front of you slowing down into a stop then resuming once the front vehicle moves

It's not a gauge, but there's a warning light
No doubt this is a solid suv. Hondas are great cars. But…..it’s so underpowered. That’s a dealbreaker for me.

I have a CR-V Hybrid... is there one in all the electronic settings so I can maybe have it in SPORT MODE at least... or does the Hybrid not get one...
