Happy weekend everybody :) sorry about the infrequent uploads this past few weeks - had a very bad batch of WiFi but cannot wait to go and explore a brand new country with you soon!!
So glad you enjoyed South Wales, you visited lots of places I have been to. I live in South Wales and feel very lucky to have such amazing places to visit and photograph. Enjoy your next adventure.
Hey Guys...Thanks for making such a Lovely positive video of my home town of sunny Swansea ( which I am very proud to say that I am born and bred here ) and showing it in all its glory as it really is an amazing place to live, I really hope you enjoyed our Welsh hospitality and so glad you got to try Joe's because everything else is just Ice - Cream as they say...Three Cliffs bay is an amazing view plus a fantastic beach and looks like you had a great day to enjoy it and it is one of our many seriously beautiful beaches we have here on the Gower coast...I really enjoyed the video so thanks again guys...Nos Da....Tony B...😃😃👍👍🎸🎸
Steve. The lava bread may be more to your liking if done with a breakfast. It’s then sometimes mixed with oats, a sort of pattie, and fried with bacon etc. Gorgeous!! 👍🏻🏴
This is my part of Wales where I live and I am very pleased someone has come here instead of Snowdonia and the north as if that is all of Wales! Thank you, guys, great video. Other food items to try, Cawl (Like a thick soup), Welsh Breakfast and Lamb Oggi.
That was so relaxing ... you're such a wonderful and relaxing couple. I really feel that I'm with you on the trip. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
We live here not far from Mumbles, we personally call it Utopia as we're retired, S. Wales ha so much to offer except for the lava bread, tried it a few times and it just makes me wanna heave.
As someone who grew up by Bridgend and went to university in Swansea, it was unreal seeing a video like this about my home. Mumbles I've been to so many times, went shopping in Swansea market on the regular (I hate laverbread two lmao cockles are aa'ight) but then to see Dunraven Bay in Southerndown, that was legit where I always used to go with my friends growing up, especially if it was stormy weather to see the sea bash the cliffs😭 Hope you walked around the lil castle garden there too it's really cute! Thanks for making this lil Welsh boi v v happy❤️
A great way to round off the series of U.K. vlogs. I have a friend who lives in Swansea and her grandparents live in the Mumbles. Last time I saw her in Swansea this summer, we went to the marina for lunch, which made a good change from going into the city centre.
In the corner Cafe in Langholm in Dumfries and Galloway South Scotland, the only flavour of ice cream is vanilla, at least it was the last time I was there. I am biased because Langholm is my home town.
Where I come from what you have in that tub is laver. What we call laver bread is laver mixed into oats, made into cakes and fried in bacon fat and served in a full Welsh breakfast.
Great video work the place looks outstanding cannot get over everywhere you are going no one else is there. Love your exotic rabit and fruit cake we laughed so hard oh well this visit to Wales was so great stay safe looking forward to your next trip see ya
I've been watching you guys for a while and what a privilege to see you travelling in my home town of Swansea! I see you went to the market and the gower! I live 10 mins from mumbles, awesome content love you guys.
Excellent video, got very lucky with the weather when you were here! Not surprised you weren't so keen on some of the Welsh dishes: not a big fan of some of those myself. Suspect some of those dishes are more for tourists to try rather than eaten by everyday people. Good choice of locations in Swansea: the marina and market definitely among the best places to see there.
Thanx for this beautiful video posting! While I was watching this ,a song came to my mind " hold me now" by thompsons twins ( oh not too sure of the name ,forgot now!) .The husband of this couple looks like the lead singer...a bit. The seaweed stuff ,I'd love to try out as I am Japanese ,so used to it! And I'm a vegetarian( hope that is a vegetarian dish?) ,but he is right, the textures of food often help ,or ruin, determine the judgment! Like I said ,I am so used to eat seaweed all my life, but when I had SEAWEED DESSERTS at a vietnamese vegan restaurant,I couldn't eat it!!! Lol.As we hardly eat sweetened seaweed like that ( in a different form, yes! Like agar agar KANTEN Carageene? Not sure if that was the word .lol ) in the original weed form! My sister couldn't ,either! It was horrible! The owner was so nice to us ,and everytime we went she gave us that for free ! Assuming we Japanese love seeweads in any flavors! Lol.We got so terrified to go there at one point ,had to tell that to the owner ! Lol.So,I understand it.The pancakes ( I am amazed Brits call it the same way as here in the u.s.!) Looked yum & clever as it's a finger food! No forks & knives needed! The vanilla ice cream looked like something to dye for!!! I could feel their pride in the presentation & the cup! Simple ,just VANILLA ONLY! There are reasons for them to be staying alive in the business since 1920's! I bet no preservatives no fillers no additives non GMO! A family owned w/ family recepies!!!
You need to try the Bara Brith slightly warm with butter, I am not a fruitcake fan but this makes it really yummy! Also get welsh butter as it’s extra salty!! Bara Brith is different to normal fruit cake as the fruit is soaked in tea.
Personally I bake my lava bread with some tomato, peppers and butter beans. Completely different story if you use it to add to other foods. It's nicer warm too. Grilled on a flatbread with cheese is lovely too.
Yep Steve you did not care for the seaweed your face told the story.. Great trip thru Great Britain, Looking forward to more adventures.. Travel Safe..
If you ever get the chance to come back to wales and come up north, you have to explore Betws-y-coed and all over Anglesey, some series beautiful places for you to see, but don't come to Rhyl, might actually ruin your trip😂
I'm Welsh and could never eat straight laverbread. Mix it with oats, make it into patties and fry it - delicious! Next time you come to Wales you should definitely try Glamorgan sausages.
@@taffyducks544 Sainsburys stock them - hidden in the vegetarian frozen food section. Tesco/Asda/Morrisons all used to sell them, but not sure if they still do.
U guys make a very sweet couple....the videos shared by u r damn good... May it be India UK Iceland USA or any place , u guys cover it very well.... god bless u guys n do keep sharing !!

Flying The Nest great video 💓💓 hope your having a great time xx
Barra brith means fruit bread
its mumbles not the mumbles. and its not a scone.
You needed to have oat cake laverbread. On its own like that is not so good.
@@rhiba1053 According to Ordnance Survey, Google Maps and others, it's The Mumbles.
I thank you for opening up your lives. The 2 of u are great
Naww you are too kind Ken!
So glad you enjoyed South Wales, you visited lots of places I have been to. I live in South Wales and feel very lucky to have such amazing places to visit and photograph. Enjoy your next adventure.
Glad you enjoyed 👌👍🏴
Bara brith is Welsh tea bread usually baked with raisins currents and candied peel

Wales is so beautiful! Just came back from a holiday from there, can't wait to go back and explore some more!
I’m glad you liked it, did you go to Cardiff or Swansea?
Happy u enjoyed it 😃
Steve. The lava bread may be more to your liking if done with a breakfast. It’s then sometimes mixed with oats, a sort of pattie, and fried with bacon etc. Gorgeous!! 👍🏻🏴
Mark Williams lava bread is a marmite type of food you either like it or hate it
Lavabread is best when it’s heated up!
Best way to eat Welsh Cakes is with jam and clotted cream. That with the scenery; a dream come true.
Love the music in this video. You both are so chill, enjoy watching you travel
Can't believe you guys came to Swansea, would of been amazing to meet you. Been watching your vids for awhile now.
It’s funny hearing someone say ‘the’ mumbles instead of just mumbles, I forgot there was a ‘the’ there tbh
Where've ew been?
Ah just downa Mumbles.
Sam Kirwan yeah hahaha got to say it like that
It’s just ‘Mumbles’, no ‘the’ required.
3 cliffs campsite ahhh so beautiful

No doubt the best TH-cam travel channel. Always enjoy your vids, hope to see you back in the uk soon guys
Joes Icecream is the best in the world! but you can get it with like strawb marshmellow flush mixed in ...... but plain vanilla is the best.
So glad you tried Joe's!!!

Ahhh where are you off to next???
Flying The Nest
A 2 month Europe trip through Ireland, England, Amsterdam, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, and Portugal.
Laverbread's OK cold, but it's much nicer when hot. Fried with bacon and/or cockles, ideally, or with cubes of fried bread if you don't eat meat.
It’s so weird seeing swansea through a high production video like this considering I live here, if you do come back, just try and avoid townhill :)
Where I come from what you have in that tub is laver. What we call laver bread is laver mixed into oats, made into cakes and fried in bacon fat and served in a full Welsh breakfast.

It must be delicious and get good prices !
Outbreaking presentation !
Very good !
Thanks a lot !
You need to do the Mumbles mile. Which is a pub crawl. We the used to finish at Cinderella's vat the end. But, I'm probably showing my age😂
and I spend my Monday / Wednesday / Friday watching your videos
You, guys, are wonderful!
I just discovered your video as I'm hoping to travel to Wales this coming summer (2021) depending on COVID......
Ahhhh this is where I went to uni, it’s my favourite place ever 💜
Next time you're in Wales, hit me up! We'll see all of the beautiful sites! :D

Try coming to Wales in the winter
You guys are Fab! Welcome to Wales!✌🏻❤️
welsh cakes are called bakestones in most of wales from the metal griddle they are cooked on.
You need to try the Bara Brith slightly warm with butter, I am not a fruitcake fan but this makes it really yummy! Also get welsh butter as it’s extra salty!! Bara Brith is different to normal fruit cake as the fruit is soaked in tea.
It’s a 5 mile walk from Swansea to mumbles I used to do it when my kids were small
Great to see Swansea on a video! I’ve never tried laverbread it looks hanging 😂
If you ever end back up in Wales make sure to go to the mumbles sea front and try a verdies Ice cream
Ahhh you’re right where my cousin lives! One of my fav spots to visit. Abergavenny is an amazing place to visit.it has some incredible views x
I went camping to that exact campsite a few days ago!!!
I live in swansea it is really nice place, i hope you enjoyed.
What time of year were you in wales. We are from Canada and enjoying your videos about wales.
My uncle was the manager of Swansea market, around the time you went there
I'm definitely going to try Joe's ice cream. I enjoyed this video a lot
Personally I bake my lava bread with some tomato, peppers and butter beans. Completely different story if you use it to add to other foods. It's nicer warm too. Grilled on a flatbread with cheese is lovely too.
im with you Steve its definitely all about texture with food lol and thankyou for another great vlog .
best way to experience wales go watch them in Cardiff playing rugby against England wat a buz come on boyo
Nah South Wales derby is better
@@thelord5895 eh less of a festival feel more aggressive tbh
Wow they are seriously carbing it up
Joes is HONESTLYYYY the best!!
Just a tip for future reference guys don’t sit so close to the cliff faces , they can drop loose rocks. It’s a thing on welsh beaches 😊
"your mom doesn't make these" sometimes your South African accent completely breaks through your Australian one!
hahaha omg!! yes there are certain words and phrases that draws out the saffa in me!
You should come back to Swansea it’s amazing ❤️
Morocco next?! Can't wait!
Never had Lava-bread cold like that. Usually fried with bacon and cockles.

I'll eat it all, I fish just around the corner off my boat from spring - autumn, mackerel, herring and even lobster.😋
Wow! Hope you enjoyed wales
I love Swansea
Wales is amazing
Bara brith means speckled bread which is why it has butter.
I live in Rhoose, where you stayed at The Fontygary Leisure Park! I wish I found your videos sooner so that we could have met up :)
That van is awesome! You guys live my dream
Totally recommend quirky campers!!!
You make awesome videos! Come to Norway next!

OMG I literally live there!
You are making me cry, seriously. To think I swapped where you are for Perth Western Australia. Sad to the max. I admit Australia is a bit warmer .
There’s a microwave frozen meal Welsh Rarebit in the US and I always think it’s “Rabbit”! You’re not alone!
I love how Jess says scon instead of scone :')
Thats how its correctly pronounced. Even the Queen pronounces it as scon apparently
Omg no way!!!!! I live in Swansea!!!!!!!!
