i currently ordered a vaxee np-01s because i’ve been using a viper mini and wanted a wireless mouse. My grip style is very odd because even though i have big hands i claw grip with 1-3-1. So unfortunately i need smaller mice as my pinky and thumb are the only finger stabilising the mouse. As im unsure as to wether the np-01s will be a good replacement for the viper mini, and i also have the opportunity to swap it with a person that has the ninjutso sora v2, my question is, would you recommend it? Considering that i need a small mouse that is similar to the viper mini and that thus has a small waist for me to grip. Also, i’ve hear that people complain about the np-01s response time (2ms) and was wondering what the ninjutso’s one was, as i couldn’t find anything on their website…
I don't have the tech to test the response time but it's something I'm hoping to get sometime in the future. Also, I don't have the NP-01 so I can't give good feedback there either. Sorry! BUT, the Sora V2 is a MUCH smaller mouse in general. AND the sides are curved in which might help your 1-3-1 grip. It's also much more narrow which once again, could be good. If your hands are smaller than mine, then the Sora V2 might be a good fit for you. Sorry I couldn't help more!
Is there a way to change dpi on the spot without software through some sort of button combo? I'm hearing people say you can, but no one says what the button combo is. And the Ninjutso website has no kind of manual for the V2. The manual for the original says to "press the dpi button", which seems to not exist on the V2.
After all this time, I've finally accidentally stumbled across the button combination that changes dpi on my Ninjutso Sora V2. Hold RMB and the rear thumb button (mb4?) for 3 seconds. Unfortunately, this makes my preferred keybinds on a certain game unusable, and I see no way to change this button combination (or any mention of it ever existing)
How’s the battery life with daily use? I have a Final Mouse ULX and while good at 1000hz it’s not as impressive as I’d like. I was considering trying this mouse out as an alternative.
where can you purchase the 8k dongle? its not on the website, i cant seem to find where you purchase this seperate dongle. you have a link or know where to purchase. i just received my sora v2 and wanted the dongle. appreciate the help.
I have the sora 4k and should be receiving the mouse this week. I wonder if there is anyway I can connect the v2 to my 4k dongle even though i can't tell a difference between 1000hz to 4000hz when I play with my sora 4k 😂
Yea, I can't even tell the difference between 1k and 2k lol! Would be cool if we could hack the V2. I already tried with different cables but didn't work.
debating between this and the beast x, the main factor being battery life how does your unit hold up after 2 weeks? and do you have competitive mode and motion sync on? thank you
Competitive Mode drains the battery FAST. Like really fast. They say it drains about 2x as fast with it on and that seems about right. That being said, Competitive Mode IS noticeable faster and more responsive. Motion Sync is automatically turned off with Comp Mode is turned on. The shape of the Beast X is also very different than the Sora V2 where the Sora V2 is designed specifically for claw grip.
@@Jerry-ex5hyI haven't logged and tested the battery life with that mode but the website says it drains the battery twice as fast and that feels accurate. So I'm charging it about once a week or a bit more depending on how much I use it. I am checking the battery more often just to be safe BUT Competitive Mode is SOOOO good that I can't not use it.
@@Jerry-ex5hyIt feels like it's more responsive. Like if I'm flicking to a target at the edge of my screen, it gets there faster. This is why I REALLY want to get some latency testing equipment because I'd love to give viewers (and myself) detailed numbers of latency, instead of "trust me bro". This channel is still really small and just a side hobby and I still haven't made a single penny from it yet, but maybe one day down the road it can fund better equipment for better info. Also, Ninjutso's website describes the Competitive Mode in a very vague and poorly detailed way where I still don't know exactly what it does lol.
The shape is different and the V2 is lighter by a few grams. The V2 can also go up to 8k but you have to by another dongle separately that isn't released yet. The shape and weight difference should be your deciding factors. Also, the V2 won't be available for at least another week or more.
@@hawkittyhawk Due to CNY holiday I have to wait to order it,so time is meaningless. I'm not likely to use either 4k or 8k. V2 is made polycarbonate. Is it a huge plus compared to sora 4k? When it comes to the weight I doubt that these few grams will make a difference for me. And the shape is practically identical. I'm looking for very good side buttons. I use them often so this is an important aspect for me. It's so hard to choose.
@@hawkittyhawk A rather funny aspect is that sora 4k has free delivery while sora v2 has a paid one. And I don't know why sora 4k is more expensive than the newer v2 model, maybe 4k dongle is the difference in price.
@@hawkittyhawk In conclusion do you think or do you think that sora 4k is much worse than v2? there are other differences besides weight, slight difference in shape and web based software?
The Sora 2 is MUCH smaller in size and shaped better for claw grip. The Viper is 20g heavier and much flatter. If your hands are bigger, I'd recommend the Viper V2 pro or GPX1/GPX2 depending on how big your hand is and how you grip the mouse.
@@hawkittyhawk I hold the mouse with a claw grip. My hand is 18cm long and 9cm wide. What can you tell me about the specifications, is it better than viper v2 pro?
With your hand size and grip, the Sora V2 is a great choice for you. The Sora V2 is 20g lighter weight than the Viper V2 Pro, but the Viper V2 pro is also 1.5 years old now. The Viper V2 pro is also a very flat mouse. too. There are rumors that a Viper V3 Pro might be released sometime this year since the the current one is so old but it's only rumors and it could be much longer. Do you if these brand like endgear and lamzu have this feature? i would like to get a MM712 wired but idk what is happening with cooler master tbh. no signs of the mouse.
Hi, I would be great to get a recommendation from you. I am currently playing on a Roccat KPU with a half Fingertip and half Palm Grip, I am coming from much heavier mice that I palm gripped, My Question is, can I still adapt to a new grip, for example go to 100% fingertip and what mice do you recommend for my case?
@@timeless3668 If you want to both fingertip grip and palm grip, the G Pro X Superlight might be a good option for you because your hands are big enough to finger tip grip it but the shape is very usable for palm grip as well. You can get the GPX 1 or the GPX 2. Both are the exact same shape and just minor differences. GPX 1 will be cheaper but is still good enough today to be considered a top tier mouse. Hope this helps!
Personal choice. It's 8g lighter which isn't a lot but is enough to be noticeable. Shape is slightly different but I don't have the 4k so I can't give a comparison. Sora V2 only goes up the 1k Hz when purchased and another dongle has to be purchased separately to go higher, and it's not even for sale yet. I'd say if you're tight on a budget, stick with the 4k as it's an amazing mouse. But if you have the extra cash or can sell your 4k, then maybe consider upgrading. Hope this helps!
Npoe. Bought this with my own money from their official website. I kinda prefer purchasing mice normally instead of getting stuff sent to me by companies so that way I have the full customer experience and items that are sent to me aren't cherry picked.
The dongle that came with the mouse is a maximum of 1k Hz. The 8k Hz dongle will need to be purchased separately. Even when plugged in with the cable that it came with or other cables, it still will only go to a maximum of 1k Hz.
For sure but at least it's priced fairly at $100 for the Sora V2 and the $120 for the Sora 4k. It worked out for me since I'm fine with 1000 Hz anyways. BUT they should have made it MUCH more clear that it doesn't come with the dongle to go up to 8k Hz out of the box. That's been one the MOST common questions and I hope people don't get the wrong idea. @@MK-lc9fp
Still to be determined. Unfortunately I don't have latency testing tools to compare (which I hope to get in the future). BUT Competitive Mode is noticeably faster and does drain the battery VERY fast (like they advertised). Leaning towards Competitive Mode for sure.
@@hawkittyhawkdo you think claw gripping a beast x mini is possible with 17.5x11 hands? i have very short fingers compared to my palm and im looking for a narrow mouse
I recently purchased the wlmouse beast x mini, but I'm finding it a little bit too small for my hands. I probably should hvae went with the normal beast x. Check out: www.eloshapes.com If you put in all three mice on that website it seems to be that the Sora V2 is in between the Beast Mini and the normal size Beast. Sora V2 is better for claw grip by design but that may not matter if it's too small for your hand still. What I do when looking for new mice is: 1. Measure your hand size. 2. Look for reviews on the mice your considering with reviewers of similar size. Hope this helps!

How’s the battery life with daily use? I have a Final Mouse ULX and while good at 1000hz it’s not as impressive as I’d like. I was considering trying this mouse out as an alternative.
80 hours in normal mode and around 40 hours in performance mode
@@HollowRick I’ve never gotten even close to 80 myself that’s why I’m wondering. Maybe 60 in high speed.
where can you purchase the 8k dongle? its not on the website, i cant seem to find where you purchase this seperate dongle. you have a link or know where to purchase. i just received my sora v2 and wanted the dongle. appreciate the help.
It's not out yet and the company is still on holiday for Chinese New Years. I'm considering getting myself too.
Okay I was all over the website and didn’t see a dongle but appreciate the heads up
No problem! @@kerryharris2336
Do Fire option still exsist on the Sora v2 ?
Sorry, I'm not sure what a Fire option is? Could you clarify?
I have the sora 4k and should be receiving the mouse this week. I wonder if there is anyway I can connect the v2 to my 4k dongle even though i can't tell a difference between 1000hz to 4000hz when I play with my sora 4k 😂
Yea, I can't even tell the difference between 1k and 2k lol!
Would be cool if we could hack the V2. I already tried with different cables but didn't work.
does it have the 8k hz or not??
Any idea what the click latency is on the sora v2?
Unfortunately not. Im still a very small channel but I’d love to get latency tools in the future!
debating between this and the beast x, the main factor being battery life how does your unit hold up after 2 weeks? and do you have competitive mode and motion sync on? thank you
Competitive Mode drains the battery FAST. Like really fast. They say it drains about 2x as fast with it on and that seems about right.
That being said, Competitive Mode IS noticeable faster and more responsive. Motion Sync is automatically turned off with Comp Mode is turned on.
The shape of the Beast X is also very different than the Sora V2 where the Sora V2 is designed specifically for claw grip.
how many hours you can get with comp mode turned on? Thank you
@@Jerry-ex5hyI haven't logged and tested the battery life with that mode but the website says it drains the battery twice as fast and that feels accurate. So I'm charging it about once a week or a bit more depending on how much I use it.
I am checking the battery more often just to be safe BUT Competitive Mode is SOOOO good that I can't not use it.
@@hawkittyhawk whats the difference you feel with competitive mode on and off?
@@Jerry-ex5hyIt feels like it's more responsive.
Like if I'm flicking to a target at the edge of my screen, it gets there faster.
This is why I REALLY want to get some latency testing equipment because I'd love to give viewers (and myself) detailed numbers of latency, instead of "trust me bro".
This channel is still really small and just a side hobby and I still haven't made a single penny from it yet, but maybe one day down the road it can fund better equipment for better info.
Also, Ninjutso's website describes the Competitive Mode in a very vague and poorly detailed way where I still don't know exactly what it does lol.
i hate how they don't let u choose the pulling rate
Is there a big difference between Ninjutso Sora 4K vs Ninjutso Sora V2? I don't know which is better and which one I should get
The shape is different and the V2 is lighter by a few grams.
I don't have the Sora 4k unfortunately so I can't do a direct comparison. It's definitely a hard choice. @@yamsu8975
Hello, can you please tell me which is better to take ryzen viper v2 pro or ninjutso sora v2?
Both mice have extremely high end sensors that are top-tier in accuracy and precision.

So dude great great review. Im on the market for new mouse i prefer wired for sure. im on a mastermouse S from cooler master and i really like the shape. its like the MM710 , but i want no holes . And the main Point is i want the software to have a "button" for second row of macros on the buttons. its called "storm tactix" for cooler master and logitech "g-shift" . Do you if these brand like endgear and lamzu have this feature? i would like to get a MM712 wired but idk what is happening with cooler master tbh. no signs of the mouse.
Can u give a link to buy the 8k dongle
It's not out yet from what I know. I'm waiting for it too!
motion sync makes my aim "floaty" or like a vsync feeling on my mouse which is a big no
People who frequently change their dpi on the mouse should be introduced to the concept of ingame sensitivity settings.
What's your hand size?
@@hawkittyhawk around 20cm from wrist to top of middle finger
@@timeless3668 If you want to both fingertip grip and palm grip, the G Pro X Superlight might be a good option for you because your hands are big enough to finger tip grip it but the shape is very usable for palm grip as well. You can get the GPX 1 or the GPX 2. Both are the exact same shape and just minor differences. GPX 1 will be cheaper but is still good enough today to be considered a top tier mouse. Hope this helps!
@@hawkittyhawk thank you very much for your advise! Are there any lighter mice than the gpx that are fitting me?
Not that I know of off the top of my head but they might be out there! @@timeless3668
is this worth an upgrade from the sora 4k?
Personal choice.
It's 8g lighter which isn't a lot but is enough to be noticeable.
Shape is slightly different but I don't have the 4k so I can't give a comparison.
Sora V2 only goes up the 1k Hz when purchased and another dongle has to be purchased separately to go higher, and it's not even for sale yet.
I'd say if you're tight on a budget, stick with the 4k as it's an amazing mouse. But if you have the extra cash or can sell your 4k, then maybe consider upgrading.
Hope this helps!
mouse pointer speed has no effect to in-game sentivity. it only effects your MOUSE POINTER
Review sample?
Npoe.
Bought this with my own money from their official website.
I kinda prefer purchasing mice normally instead of getting stuff sent to me by companies so that way I have the full customer experience and items that are sent to me aren't cherry picked.
Hey there, may I ask the dongle came with the mice is 4k or just signal extension?
The dongle that came with the mouse is a maximum of 1k Hz. The 8k Hz dongle will need to be purchased separately.
Even when plugged in with the cable that it came with or other cables, it still will only go to a maximum of 1k Hz.
@@hawkittyhawk thank you for your reply, kinda a let down since they already sold a 4k version but the V2 doesn't have the same treatment 😕
@@MK-lc9fp
@@hawkittyhawk Thanks so much for your information, just order this one since the spec is just simply so good.

is the competitive worth it over hyperspeed?
Still to be determined.
Unfortunately I don't have latency testing tools to compare (which I hope to get in the future).
BUT Competitive Mode is noticeably faster and does drain the battery VERY fast (like they advertised). Leaning towards Competitive Mode for sure.
please give us your opinion on motion sync now that it’s been 2 months. is it better on or off??
off for gaming/performance or on for quality/smoothness
What system mode is superior in your opinion?
I'm REALLY liking Competitive Mode. It immediately feels more responsive BUT does drain the battery probably 2x as fast.
@@hawkittyhawk true, i feel the same. Would be nice to have a bigger battery to be honest..

I recently purchased the wlmouse beast x mini, but I'm finding it a little bit too small for my hands. I probably should hvae went with the normal beast x. Thinking if I should grab this sora v2 instead or not. Any thoughts? I prefer claw grip and I have pretty small hands (but apparently not small enough for a beast x mini 😀).
Check out: www.eloshapes.com
If you put in all three mice on that website it seems to be that the Sora V2 is in between the Beast Mini and the normal size Beast.
Sora V2 is better for claw grip by design but that may not matter if it's too small for your hand still.
What I do when looking for new mice is:
1. Measure your hand size.
2. Look for reviews on the mice your considering with reviewers of similar size.
Hope this helps!
