Doctor Explains Patrick Mahomes Knee Injury | Dislocates Kneecap

- Patrick Mahomes injured his knee during NFL Thursday Night Football against the Denver Broncos and appeared to dislocate his patella (kneecap) and the training staff had to put it back in place on the field. He was then ruled out after getting xrays and there is a possibility his season could be over. More information is needed to determine the extent of injury, but this could be anywhere from a few weeks to a season ending injury.

Andy reid said the Chiefs offense will change the way Matt Moore wants it to be so he can throw good. So Chiefs are heading to the Super Bowl! Plus after Mahomes is back the chiefs will be better anyways since him being out gives his ankle time to fully heal aswell. So gg chiefs are gonna win this

Hey @Brian Stutter MD I have a question in march of 2021 I had a lateral patellar knee cap dislocation and the I had gotten a MPFL reconstruction but around Christmas I had gotten some movement in my knee cap and I stretched the graph for my MPFL I was put in a knee brace but I still have a little bit of movement in the knee cap do you have and recommendations on a knee brace for that

Hi Doc-
I dislocated my patella while climbing a mountain on June 8th - my femur scraped the cartilage of the back of my patella. Since I am pretty active the ortho was aggressive and did arthroscopic surgery to remove the torn cartilage and determine if a cartilage transplant was indicated. It was so he chopped my knee open and did a juvenile cartilage allograph. I am still in physical therapy but getting better and no grating or grinding feeling.
So is a torn patella cartilage a possibility in Patrick Mahomes case?

So last night I was at soccer training, I made a sharp movement and noticed that it hurt my knee real bad. My knee didn't really hurt that much so I continued training for another hour, but after training I noticed my knee had gotten really swollen and I couldn't bend my leg all the way. How long would it take to recover from this?
