The Voice singing The Voice - there is nothing better!!! ❤ This is such a special song to Australia 🇦🇺 ❤❤ Long live Farnsey and his mic stand antics!! Glad you saw the throw, catch and foot flip trick. Some reactors miss all of them... you can't take your eye of him for even a second!! 😅 ❤ Thanks agin for reacting to Farnsey. He never disappoints. Try When Something is Wrong With My Baby next if you would like to hear more. Silly me, of course you do 😅 👍
This is an unofficial Aussie anthem with John Farnham the voice of Australia. I love John’s mic and mic stand tricks, who else can throw the mic stand meters into the air and catch it while still performing, whenever you see John twisting up the mic stand you know something is coming. This is such a powerful and inspiring song. Epic.
the man the legend and he cant personally believe the reactions he is receiving from his concerts decades ago shows just how humble he is as an amazing entertainer and human being
This song needs to be heardand sung all over the world today. People power. John is an absolute natural talent, master vocalist and performer, while at the same time he is humble, kind and generous ♥️♥️ you will never be disappointed with any performance by John from any of last 6 decades. 🥰💕♥️🇦🇺
For context, John has been performing since the late 60s. By the 80s, the music industry had wiped him off. His manager Glenn Wheatley helped him explode back onto the scene with this song which is an anthem in Australia everyone knows the words to. From there, John had hit after hit, sellout concert after concert and remains popular to9 this day even when he is no longer singing because of his fight (and recovery) from mouth cancer. A superb human being with staggering talent. The mic throwing is a feature of his performances. He also performs with superb musicians so concert goers get more than value for money. John is loved here. Never made it big in the US choosing to stay in Aus with his family, but he has fans the likes of Celine Dion, Tom Jones, Richard Marx …
Thanks for the reaction, I think you would like John and his friend's (that's all the people on stage with him) singing "love's in need" a cover by Stevie Wonder" who is one of John favourite singers, it's really beautiful ❤️
Your t-shirt was very apt for this song. Especially now when we are going through the same thing in Australia that this song was written for. Nuclear power, weapons and waste.
😂the first thing you said was “this sounds like a song you should be proud of” and I’m over here being a not patriotic Australian telling you this song is probably the thing I am most proud of as an Australian 😅 it makes me happy cry every time 😭
Just a couple facts about this song The writer declinded john wanting to sing it Because thought john wasn't able to do it justice John said to hes manager im singing and recording it As he loved the lyrics so recorded it against writer wishes Hes manager said hell sue you and john replied i dont care im singing it he can have the money But when the writer herd the song he said im wrong its your song and never though it could be anything that good So come to agreement and signed a contract so john could sing it and why its john song as never been sung before that Also they had to change tempo of the entire song for the bag pipes as they can only be played in the one tempo They told him they'll have to drop the bag pipes but he wouldn't have it The guy on piano is a musical genius and writes alot of music for songs bands and orchestra from memory So he rewrote all the music for the entire orchestra to suit the bag pipes and it dictated how john sang the song as well You should do john Farnham led zeppelin black dog its only on recording as john used it as warm up song and thankfully The sound guy thought this is to good not to be herd and recorded it during a warm up otherwise would never be a recording of it Also john Farnham AC/DC cover along way to the top with Melbourne symphony orchestra you wont regret either song at see his rock ability Then well take you to blue jazz and ballards Their also another Aussie singer equally as good as john but mainly blue and rock jimmy barnes and was also in a band cold chisel amazing as well We have so many artist to choose from you probably haven't even herd of even today several singer song writers Cheers mate 🦘🇦🇺👍
John's performance of The Reason Why, written by Richard Marx for John's album Then Again; l recommend you react to his performance from the 1994 ARIA(Australian Recording Industry Association) Awards. This is a beautiful romantic ballad.
And every other genre you can think of. About the only ones I haven't heard him do are Rap and Hip-Hop. Everything else he makes his own. Ballads, Hard Rock, Opera, Stage Musical, whatever.
If your lovin the bagpipes, watch John Farnham's original Official Music Video "You're the Voice" 1987 Live from Melbourne where there are at least 13 Bagpipes!! ❤
My daughter was born the year after whispering jack came out I'm sure she was born knowing all the words to this song my brother played nothing else in the car and I continued at home lol😂
OK, I see you have also done the "Help" reaction so your John Farnham listening homework from now on: From the same concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra: John's cover of AC/DC's "It's a Long Way To The Top" Other songs: Age of Reason Burn For You Cover of Cold Chisel (lead singer Jimmy Barnes) song "When the War is Over" Cover of Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog". Note that this was a sound check he and his band used all the time and we are very lucky that a sound guy pressed record one day! John never performed this in concert. "Granada" with Anthony Whorlow "Gethsemane" as part of the Jesus Christ Superstar musical.
Thank you. This song was inspired in part by the anti-nuclear war protests of the eighties, and the powerlessness many felt in the face of nuclear Armageddon.

Sorry, but there’s no ‘lightly’ on this song 😁😁😎🐨🇦🇺🇦🇺
We are all cheering you saw the mike stand throw and catch of it, so many people dont see it... 😃
Anytime John would start fiddling with the mic stand, you knew he was about to do something awesome with it.
👍😂😂😂

It’s all that Vitamin D and fresh air☀️ ❤ #AustraliaIsWhereItsAt 😊😅
Our wonderful John is adored here in Oz, I have seen him live many times over the years - truly remarkable & a very humble, funny, beautiful human.

Glen Weatley mortgaged his house to make Whispering Jack. John’s comeback album. They were a great team.
For a plumber’s apprentice he sure has a fine set of pipes..
❤❤😂😂
😂😂😂
@@Dr_KAP You're so funny Kappy ❤️ Hope you're doing well.
Another great reaction choice. Ill be here for every John Farnham reaction you do. Thanks so much. ❤
Yes indeed. One of our best ever. Thank you for your reaction! Luv from Australia ❤️🎼❤️🎼❤️
Awesome reaction to a Awesome song by John bud.
He’s a massive legend here in Oz as you now know mate.
Keep up the great reactions.
Throwing the mike stand up in the air and catching it is his thing that he does in this song lol. I love it.
Thanks for the reaction, I think you would like John and his friend's (that's all the people on stage with him) singing "love's in need" a cover by Stevie Wonder" who is one of John favourite singers, it's really beautiful ❤️
Live. The Voice. The Master.
You need to watch the new documentary about his life
Your t-shirt was very apt for this song. Especially now when we are going through the same thing in Australia that this song was written for. Nuclear power, weapons and waste.
At 2.53 John throws the mic stand up and catches it, we have to constantly watch John or we miss his tricks & entertainment.
😂the first thing you said was “this sounds like a song you should be proud of” and I’m over here being a not patriotic Australian telling you this song is probably the thing I am most proud of as an Australian 😅 it makes me happy cry every time 😭
Just a couple facts about this song
The writer declinded john wanting to sing it
Because thought john wasn't able to do it justice
John said to hes manager im singing and recording it
As he loved the lyrics so recorded it against writer wishes
Hes manager said hell sue you and john replied i dont care im singing it he can have the money
But when the writer herd the song he said im wrong its your song and never though it could be anything that good
So come to agreement and signed a contract so john could sing it and why its john song as never been sung before that
Also they had to change tempo of the entire song for the bag pipes as they can only be played in the one tempo
They told him they'll have to drop the bag pipes but he wouldn't have it
The guy on piano is a musical genius and writes alot of music for songs bands and orchestra from memory
So he rewrote all the music for the entire orchestra to suit the bag pipes and it dictated how john sang the song as well
You should do john Farnham led zeppelin black dog its only on recording as john used it as warm up song and thankfully
The sound guy thought this is to good not to be herd and recorded it during a warm up otherwise would never be a recording of it
Also john Farnham AC/DC cover along way to the top with Melbourne symphony orchestra you wont regret either song at see his rock ability
Then well take you to blue jazz and ballards
Their also another Aussie singer equally as good as john but mainly blue and rock jimmy barnes and was also in a band cold chisel amazing as well
We have so many artist to choose from you probably haven't even herd of even today several singer song writers
Cheers mate 🦘🇦🇺👍
The key of the song needed to be changed, not the tempo. Bagpipes are tuned in the key of Bflat, so the whole song needed a key change to match 😃
John's performance of The Reason Why, written by Richard Marx for John's album Then Again; l recommend you react to his performance from the 1994 ARIA(Australian Recording Industry Association) Awards. This is a beautiful romantic ballad.
Many of johns songs are anthems!
And every other genre you can think of. About the only ones I haven't heard him do are Rap and Hip-Hop. Everything else he makes his own. Ballads, Hard Rock, Opera, Stage Musical, whatever.
Your face got so serious. Eyebrow raise. "Bagpies?" ❤
Thanks
They should have made this one the Australian anthem. We all sure wanted it to be.
If your lovin the bagpipes, watch John Farnham's original Official Music Video "You're the Voice" 1987 Live from Melbourne where there are at least 13 Bagpipes!! ❤
I think Margaret was the highlight of the video 😆 She had no sauce, but she was feeling it! 🤣
I recommend you react to John Farnham singing The Age of Reason live, this is the follow-up song to You're The Voice.
My daughter was born the year after whispering jack came out I'm sure she was born knowing all the words to this song my brother played nothing else in the car and I continued at home lol😂
Farnsy is The Voice of Australia. All USA citizens shouls follow the lyrics of this song to make the USA a great country.
What USA got do with it ?
This song is gold /en /mine
Welcome to the unofficial Australian national anthem 😅
Yes I agree. John and his singers and band do a great version of Stevie Wonder’s Love’s in Need. Please react to that next. Please.
Love this. You should consider giving a listen to another Australian artist namedvJames Blundell. He recorded in the 1980's.
I just think of the movie Hot Rod when I hear this
OK, I see you have also done the "Help" reaction so your John Farnham listening homework from now on:
From the same concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra:
John's cover of AC/DC's "It's a Long Way To The Top"
Other songs:
Age of Reason
Burn For You
Cover of Cold Chisel (lead singer Jimmy Barnes) song "When the War is Over"
Cover of Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog". Note that this was a sound check he and his band used all the time and we are very lucky that a sound guy pressed record one day! John never performed this in concert.
"Granada" with Anthony Whorlow
"Gethsemane" as part of the Jesus Christ Superstar musical.
I wish the content creator was in the window & the music video be large. It’s quite annoying.
Probably so don’t get blocked or a strike from TH-cam!
@@wendyryder2708Exactly! It’s already happened to other reactors so he’s taken the right action.
Your annoying don't like watch it the music video.
@@sharlinew really?
You missed the whole concept of this song F UJ!
Thank you.
This song was inspired in part by the anti-nuclear war protests of the eighties, and the powerlessness many felt in the face of nuclear Armageddon.
