And this my friend was one of two encore performances after a 2 1/2 hour show.... What an entertainer was our legend John Farnham...can't thank you enough for reacting to him and other Aussie artists on your channel. Sending love from Australia. 🦘🦘🦘
@justlinsu - 😁 half. Sadie was a product of its time (spoofing the 1967 reality), cutesy, and oc not written by Farnsey himself, he was just the vocalist. But if you listen carefully, you can tell his talent even back then on THAT song too. His young voice was like high-pitched honey, perfectly & effortlessly hitting each note. He sold the meaning and point of the song like a really good actor. My heart certainly opened for him every time I heard him reprise it, esp together with the Melb Symphony Orchestra version, where he sent himself up! It's a core part of him, what it took for him to become what you say you like now.
Do your ears a favor and listen to more of him. But always listen to him live. His studio albums are great, but live is where he really shines. Not just that amazing voice, but he has such a magnetic stage presence. He loves his fans and interacts with them throughout his concerts all the time. Add to that the fact that he has no ego. He just loves to sing and entertain and it shows with how happy and comfortable he is on the stage. He doesn't just sing the songs, he lives the songs. If you want to hear the best of the best, then look no further than our John Farnham.
He can sing rock, pop, ballads, power ballads, gospel, opera, hard rock, R&B, swing - if a genre exists, John can sing it. And if you don't know by now - always listen to John live.
Do yourself a favor and watch more of the concert. It went for a couple of hours, and he just knocked every song out of the ballpark. He's a great showman and an even greater guy, an Aussie legend.😊
Thanks for the great reaction. Love this slowed down version of help a lot more then the original. What’s better then having the voice John Farnham sing with an orchestra behind him. This performance is just insane
John Lennon when he'd heard this said it was the way the song should be sung, he was a fan of the way Farnsy sang it as he'd been singing like that for decades
Pure John Farnham,no tweaking with electronics,no lip syncing, just the voice. We might never hear him sing live again but we have so many wonderful “old” ones to listen to.. attended a few of his concerts up to a few years ago and even at 70+ he was just as good. A wonderful human bei;g and one of the best ever singers.
Now that's how you turn a classic boppy pop song from the Beatles into a vocal masterclass and totally rearrange it and make it your own. Believe it or not ... Yes it was the Beatles song Help. Almost unrecognisable after John puts his spin on it and turns it into a gut wrenching ballad and a totally beleivable cry for help. And now it belongs solidly to the Voice...Mr John Farnham . Those beautiful heartfelt lyrics totally got lost in the Beatles original recording but John bought them to life and gave them the depth they deserved ❤❤
OK let's admit it, John Farnham's the GOAT. John Lennon said this is how the song was always meant to be sung. When he wrote it, it was a cry for Help and never meant to be upbeat and preppy. The Beatles were pressured into recording a faster version.
@@Katrinagaming-en1os Thanks a lot. I saw him sing a slower version not long before he died, when he was in his New York apartment. Maybe it was after he saw the John Farnham version. It was in a documentary that I haven't been able to track down.
It's John's arrangement if the Beatles song. Slowed right down, it suits the lyrics better than the original. Thanks for the reaction. No doubt about it, John is the best.
I read that when Paul McCartney and John Lennon wrote this song it was supposed to be slow, it’s about a person dealing with depression so why make it fast but the studio would not allow them to record it slow. The studio made them record it faster. That’s the power of the studio. They own you and your music. The first cover of this song was by Deep Purple. They recorded it more in line with what Paul and John wanted. John Farnham released his version several months before John Lennon was killed. Paul and John both knew about it and were able to hear it. Some said Paul called it the best version but others say something else so it’s really unclear to me what they each thought about it. I haven’t seen a clip of Paul or John talking about it.
He is the GOAT. He isn’t just the voice, but he has a massive heart, he is funny, kind, down to heart and an embodiment of what it is to be Aussie. Can never appreciated enough, and I love all the TH-cam reactions discovering him. ❤❤

He sing equally as good even collaboration
With many famous entertainer's from around the world
He's named the voice because his versatility

About the only thing he never did was rap
Glad you've found him you wont look back
Also he just as nice as a person and could've been a comedian as a character
He's from working class just your every day joe and rarely travelled out the country
Because didn't want to drag his kids all over the world and wanted them to enjoy a stable family life like he grew up in
John hated being on the road away from He's family
Freddy mercury from queen picked john to replace him before he died as he said one of the best voices and performers relating to the words
But john declined for family reasons and the love of He's country and its people
It was rare for him to go overseas and most international artists came here to sing with him and tour the country at same time
But most came to sing with him as musicians and other singers from here who did go oversea told others about him and soon as they herd him wanted to sing with him

Mate …. It’s “Mel-buhn”.. like Mel-BUN… not Mel-BORN… I have been obsessed with you and your TS vids .. SWIFTED OUT is my favourite verb lolol… and now you are watching our beloved John Farnham 🩷❤️♥️.. I can’t explain to you how much we love John. This concert was decades ago. He has recently recovered from losing a section of his jaw from throat cancer… who knows if we will ever hear him again - but we will love and celebrate him forever and ever. I hope he knows. Thanks for your AWESOME channel, and keep up with the Tay Tay content xxxx
The chap on the piano has a couple more Oscar nominations than Orlando Bloom ... 😉
John Lennon said that he actually wanted "Help" arranged as a ballad. John Farnham aced it.

Your face & eyes said it all
Sir Paul McCarthy himself said that this is the way John Lennon won’t his song be be sung this way

Johnny is the best...
Ive viewed many of Johns reactions to this song, and no one has come close to the spiritual reaction as you have. I dont believe Johns reaction at the timing of 7:35 sec is a premeditated. That is a spiritual thing.
Yep the same song but very different
Look at his microphone placement. He doesn't have to swallow it like many singers. He has it down near his chest!
It's 1980s
Dude slow down ... :) :)
