So many. Firstly, always try to watch his live performances. "Help" with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, "Black Dog" (Led Zeppelin cover, no video), "It's a long way to the top" (AC/DC cover), "When something is wrong with my baby" (with Jimmy Barnes and Deisel, I prefer the ARIA awards live performance), "Playing to win", "Please don't ask me" (with Olivia Newton John). There are a lot more. John can sing anything, pop, rock, heavy rock, blues, soul, gospel, stage musical, ballads and even managed to nail some opera ("Grenada" with Anthony Warlow). It's a deep dive, enjoy.

John is music royalty in Australia. He is called "the Voice" here. He is much loved for his kindness, his wicked sense of humour, his magnificent stage presence and, of course, for his superb voice. There are not many worldwide who can match him.

Nooooooooooooooo ! ! ! Please ALWAYS react to John Farnham LIVE and in concert where his showmanship and charismatic energy is amazing ! He is very well-loved in Australia. He has retired after a five to six decade career with top singles and albums in every one. He is known as 'The Voice' in Australia and has had books written and a film made about him. John has a big, gymnastic vocal range and can sing in over 20 genres. Check out John and Jimmy Barnes singing at the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Awards, 'When Something Is Wrong With My Baby'. Every song that John sings is perfection ! Enjoy !

One of my few favorites are "When the war is Over, That's Freedom, Pressure Down, Two Strong Hearts, Hearts on Fire, Every time You Cry, Burn for You, just to name a few. He’s a British born Aussie. If you think he’s powerful here, you will be blown away by his live performances. He has always maintained he’s never had a singing lesson in his life but his vocal agility, range and power are phenomenal- and perfect technique. He can switch that gritty sound on and off so easily. Please watch more of John live and you’ll see what I mean!
He does this song with the Melbourne symphony orchestra and at the same concert he has a lot of great songs like his rendition of the Beatles song HELP and AC DCs it’s a long way to the top.

He is just amazing. And even so much better when he sings it live. I hope you will react to more from our beloved Farnsey❤❤❤ and this song is seen as the alternative Aussie Anthem. It was on Johns record breaking album Whispering Jack
And album that stayed at number 1 for 26 weeks and still holds the record for the highest ever selling album by an Aussie artist in Australia. And number 2 or 3, depending what chart's you read, ever in australian history, when world wide artists are included. Matloaf and Shania Twain took top 2 spots ...

Thanks for reacting to John! You will hear it again and again, but it's true - John should always be reacted to live rather than studio, as he is so much better when live. Voice is even more powerful, still perfectly in pitch, and he also has a charismatic and energetic stage presence that can't be beaten! He is a legend in Australia with a 6 decade career.
You could try this song again but do the live version with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra ( th-cam.com/video/8voNPJmp1ww/w-d-xo.html ) or try Help! also with the MSO, although that one can sometimes get blocked for people. Honestly, there is so much of his and it's all great! If you are picking randomly, you can't really go wrong with anything from the 'Classic Jack' (1989), 'Chain Reaction' (1990), or 'Whispering Jack' (1987) concerts, but he also has so much more than those!. :)

The greatest voice the US missed out on. Aussie aussie aussie...Celine's favourite male singer. Has just survived throat cancer but is reportedly cancer free. Was performing until covid hit...now 75. An aussie icon. Careful how you handle him. We are very protective. Huge back catalogue...much of it on youtube. People always ask for live. You will get a few aussie subs if you do more because he has a loyal fanbase. The biggest name in aussie music although he didn't have great impact worldwide..mainly Oz and NZ and a bit in UK Scandinavia Germany. Hit #12 in Canada back in 86/7 year of release. Cheers

    John is best served LIVE
Johns is know as "The Voice" in Australia.
I doubt the isn't an Aussie alive who doesn't know this song. The best version of this song is when he performs it with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
John has a number of hit's.
Its a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll (ACDC Cover)
Please don't ask me - Olivia Newton John and John Farnham
    When the war is over
    Pressure Don
    Playing to win
John has also performed with Celine Dion, Tom Jones and Brian May (Queen) just to name a few.
PS: John and Olivia Newton Johns were close friends for around 50 years. John was very upset that he couldn't attend her funeral, he was dealing with his own health issues (cancer surgery) at the time. The surgery was a success.

    🤩
John is music royality here in the Australian Music Industry. This was the hit single from the Whispering Jack Album, (which held the No. 1 position for a total of 25 weeks), "You're the Voice" went to No. 1 and has become an unofficial National Anthem. The song is about Nuclear Disarmament. John Farnham started in 1967 and was still performing into his 70s until Covid shut the country down. He won "King of Pop" 5 consecutive years 69 -73, then faded a bit in the late 70s (due to poor management). John is the only Australian artist to have a number-one record (album or single) in five consecutive decades. . He has received the admiration of many international artists, such as Richard Marx, Celine Dion, Robbie Williams, Tom Jones, Freddie Mercury. Brian May, Sammy Davis Jnr, Ray Charles, just to name a few. I'll drop a few links to give you a taste and warn you if you start reacting to John, the Aussie Army will flood your channel. LOL if you decide to go exploring, make sure you only watch "Live" performances, he loves his fans and millions of us love him back. Always keep an eye out for his "mic & stand" tricks. He is the most down to earth person, humble, funny and extremely talented.
John is one of the most versatile vocalists you can find, he can sing just about any genre. He replaced Glen Sherrock as frontman for LRB for a time in the early eighties.
They put out a doco last year called "John Farnham - Finding The Voice" which broke the box office ("The Voice" is what he is affectionately known as here), he can sing anything and make it sound great. First the trailer..
    .th-cam.com/video/LocCfc5PKrE/w-d-xo.html
The next performance you should watch is one of the encores at the end of a 2+ hour concert 1986. a John Lennon number "Help", but John F's version (JL heard it before he passed and said that was the way the song was meant to sound)...th-cam.com/video/dv54giOSRKs/w-d-xo.html Anything from that "Classic Jack Live" with MSO concert is "gold".
    1969 a very young 20yr old John "One" th-cam.com/video/e06hBcBp8T8/w-d-xo.html
1970 "Comic Conversation" th-cam.com/video/yxd7kuJC4hY/w-d-xo.html & "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" th-cam.com/video/LfmqltNIjfw/w-d-xo.html

1991 "When Something is Wrong with Your Baby" with another Aussis ICON - Jimmy Barnes th-cam.com/video/ihsfx1LuoKc/w-d-xo.html
1994 "You'll Never Walk Alone" (while chewing gum LOL).. th-cam.com/video/dWTEesb7FrY/w-d-xo.html

1998 John and good friend Olivia Newton-John duet "Please Don't Ask Me" th-cam.com/video/2uV_tZODfK8/w-d-xo.html

Good reactions guys, I think alot of OZzies and Kiwis would agree Johny is best viewed live, John "The VOice Farnham", is also a massive personality and an awesome performer, but his character is a happy and humble one, welcome to John Farnham and the Voice he is, awesome reaction guys. This link is a covered of version of the Beatles song "HELP", which John Farnham had done live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

John is always brilliant live. He is the consummate performer. See and hear him "live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra". Stunning, passionate, perfect! Nice reaction guys. John Lennon said his version of the Beatles "Help" was how it should have been done. He does an amazing sound check warm up with a cover of Led Zeplin's "Black Dog" and AC/DC's "It's a Long Way to the Top". John can sing anything from beautiful ballads to opera to hard rock, better than the originals - IMO, if I may. He is a great guy with loads of personality and brilliant stage craft. "The Voice" is what he know as in Australia.

You'll like the live version with Melbourne symphony orchestra
Its was about war and nuclar bombs being made
The guy who wrote it woke up late to go to a massive march against it
So he wrote the song in response of sleeping in missing the march
You wont go wrong on anything he sings just do live version you see passion
Look up his help with Melbourne symphony orchestra as well beatles send him a message
Of acknowledgement on how good he covered their song and how they wanted to do it
But promoter's didn't think it'll be successful so Beatles did it the version the promoter's wanted
    Cheers guys 🦘🇦🇺👍

Any of John or Jimmy songs are great but John singing “help” a cover of a Beatles song is great and Jimmy singing “a change is gonna come” or anything with his band cold chisel is epic ❤

I was hooked on this song from the first moment I heard it back in 1986 and it is still one of my favourite songs of all time. John’s 1989 concert with the MSO is the best you’ll ever see… you think the studio version of this is good….check the live performance with MSO! So much better! The studio version is pretty cold compared to that live version with the MSO. Not to mention the latter day live Firefight Australia concert in 2020 with Mitch Tambo and Olivia Newton John and Brian May. Our John is 100% gold in live performances, no auto tune needed!!! ❤

John’s life story is available “Farnham” I have just got it on audible. John has self narrated with his wife post mouth cancer surgery. His career’s path started in the mid 60’s worth checking out. Plus see his performances with Olivia Newton John, Celine Dion (who requested to sing with him) Ray Charles, Tom Jones to name just a few!! He is a true legend in his own time.

Its a Long Way to Top live 1989 with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and All our Sons and Daughters live 1990; HELP live 1989 with the Orchestra; and one Black Dog (audio only). This was his sound check and he and the band just kill it. The sound tech recorded it. Enjoy - he is phenomenal and can sing any genre. Love our John ❤❤❤

Now that you have watched a video of You're The Voice, l would recommend you react to John Farnham singing You're The Voice with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra from the Classic Jack Concert. Also, I would recommend you react to John Farnham singing The Beatles classic song Help with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra from the same concert.

This song should always have the bagpipes in it; in fact, it was at John's insistence that bagpipes were in the original recording. When you watch the live performance of this with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, watch out for John's microphone stand antics after the bagpipes; watch carefully, otherwise you might miss all of it. You're The Voice was released in 1986, as a single from the Whispering Jack album.

Classic 80s AusRock. If you're watching Farnsie then you need to watch his live performances, they're the absolute best if you have any soul at all. He sadly isn't active now because he's had health problems in the last couple of years, but he's an undisputed Australian Icon. There is a John Farnham You Tube Channel that features his songs. Also check out John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes and Johnny Diesel. They've collab'd on a few songs and are a powerhouse together and separate.

    John is an Australian icon!
You might want to try another iconic Australian band Midnight Oil…My recommendation would be ‘Beds are Burning’ and ‘Blue Sky Mining’ or maybe Icehouse and ‘Great Southern Land.’ Or maybe another little band you may have heard of AC/DC!
