The grass is always greener on the other side. I switched from iPhone to Samsung 2 years ago and switched back to iPhone again this year. Now I am thinking to switch to Samsung again.
Doing the opposite, the specs and screen of the S24 Ultra are awesome but the bugs, crashes, constant battle between Samsung and Google apps not to mention the inability to use the bottom scroll bar if you use a case, I've had enough. IOS is just far more refined, yes it offers less customisation and freedom but the benefits of that far outweigh the negatives. Shame because the S24 Ultra is a nice device
@@Joker-yu5kp@Joker-yu5kp I have a MAC and all the Apple stuff, so this is not a big problem for me . I hate to pay top dollar for a 1-year suitable device like the Samsung S series .
My biggest reason of keep coming back to iphone is lack of software upgrades on all Android phones, then reliability of support when you need to. 2 major upgrades and you are done, while the device will easily keep up 4 to 5. Most people are not looking for gimmicky features that are not maintained, they are looking for a device that they can rely on. Some brands like Sony (horrible hardware for the money), Oneplus (can you rely on warranty?) are much better when it comes to supporting AOSP, however all of the custom roms have different issues as they are community driven, and not maintained by phone developers themselves. Samsung on the other hand is the worst, limits OS customizability completely, hardware/software (depending on brand/device) stops working irreversibly once you unlock the bootloader. For a new device this is not important, however it will be 2 years later.
Samsung and google are supporting their devices for up to 7 years now,i don’t know why people still use that as an excuse.Even oneplus is offering at least 4 years which not that long but with android you got many option.I have used samsung for years and don’t have these issues you mentioned. You sound just like an apple fan
Good to hear it improved, release cycles for Samsung used to be horrible not too long ago (past Note 3 and S8+ owner). I guess to make the most out of a phone, one should get a phone released just after the Android release, since they offer 3 major upgrades?
The reason I dont like android is I dont like google. They would sell their own mothers for analytic data. Also forced google ads that I cant remove on most devices (they call them news). Another annoying thing is bloatware. Many of these androids have double apps, for example samsung browser and chrome, samsung pay and google pay. But then again you talk about customization, and I'm one of those people that doesn't even change wallpaper for a year. Each to their own I guess.
Well, iOS has Safari, and you can use Google Chrome on it too, it is kinda the same thing. And at least on Samsung when you open Chrome and Samsung Internet they are totally different browsers, unlike the Chrome on iOS which is basically a skinned Safari. Sadly, the thing I can agree with is that there are two apps for some things, like why defuq do I have Google Play and Galaxy Store..
@@detrakis Chrome is not pre-installed on iPhone and it is dumb to use Chrome anyway. It is funny how Windows noobs hate Edge and love Chrome when both are Chromium based. Literally 0 IT knowledge in it. It is either Safari for Apple or Firefox for other OS.
I have the s24 ultra and the iphone 15 pro max and I use the s24 ultra more, I like it more.
And why is that

Haha sometimes we need the best of both worlds
I just switched from android to the iPhone 15 pro and I regret my decision
I'm sorry to hear that
You shouldn’t regret your decision the 15 Pro is pure quality, a beast of a smartphone.

Those are some valid points
Switched from S23 to the 15 pro max after 10 years as android user and it just works better
You'll be bored soon, you'll be back. sure ios works well, but it's stale.
I did the same and switch back to samsung, iPhone is so boring and overrate especially the so called ecosystem

That's old news.
Now Google and Samsung provide longer support with 7 years of OS updates. And most other companies like OnePlus provides 5 years.

I agree but I feel most OS and apps these days are collecting data with intent to sell or will eventually do so anyways
