I use both. Have for a few years now. Currently have the 13PM and 1+10Pro. I find Android far more flexible and find too much of iOS has become “you have to do it Apple’s way using Apple tools”. I find that inflexibility to be detracting for my everyday use. Back in the iPhone 7 days it was my go to device. These days Android has taken that spot. JMHO YOMV

Yes, crash detection and a whole bunch of good ideas were copied from Android to IPhone, but that's a very real two way street.
There's a bunch of stuff google copied, not going to get into that and I'm not keeping score.
However, Apple users don't feel like they need to shout it from the rooftops every time some feature that they had first shows up on android, and for some reason Android users do.

I was a lover of Android devices. They are unmatched in customization and personalization but I switched to iPhone because Apple just works, period. My last Android was the S22 ultra with 512gb and its display was absolutely gorgeous….until I started having overheating problems. There were times it got so hot that I was seriously worried it was going to burst into flames. I wanted it to work. It was a powerful and capable device but as you said, the Apple ecosystem just plainly works. I now have the 13 pro max. Everything just falls in line, from set up out the box, to tying up all your 🍎 gadgets, smoothly. I’m at the stage in my life where utility is way, way more important than cosmetics .

    • @rigierish3807
      @rigierish3807 ปีที่แล้ว +5

You really didn't understand anything about the real potential of Android while you were still using it if the only advantage you saw to its high level of customization is the esthetic, or cosmetic part, as you call it.
Hell, Apple is the incarnation of cosmetics when we see how obsessed they are about the esthetics of the phone and its interface, so accusing Android ability to be too focused on cosmetics is just hypocritical if it's to defend Apple after that for being more focused on utility.
Android, due to its open source nature, allows you to have any level of customization using thousands of different apps, which includes productivity and practicality of use: on Android, you can't complain about not having a feature on the software side because it probably already exists out there waiting for you to find it and install it, it just wasn't integrated natively in the OS by Google (yet), most of the feature we have on Android coming from open source and independent projects at the beginning.
You even have whole launchers that display apps only in black and white with a custom font to avoid having icons and app logos colors distracting you while you're using your phone, especially if you're at work or using your phone to work. And it works.
You can also split two apps on your screen, allowing much easier multitasking, you can install any app from the Play Store but also from the internet on which you have a lot more choice than you could ever have on an iPhone, it is more compatible with other kind of devices than any Apple product could ever be, making file transfers much easier, even to a non Android user, you can get call, even video calls, while still doing something else next to it, it doesn't kill any process in the background, allowing to switch between apps very easily without losing your progress and computing time, etc...
If your goal is to use your phone as a tool rather than a toy, Android is the best possible thing you could ever have if you take the time to customize it first, which of course, only you can do, and certainly not a company.

Yeah, I have been iPhone forever and my 7-year-old phone is still amazing. As I face updating eventually, I kept following the different models and was almost tempted to get an S23 this year but then I watched videos from content creators who buy every phone and store them all in amazing temperature-controlled phone rooms and all of them had been experiencing their Samsung batteries expanding and melting their phones. One of them had 10 years' worth of Samsung's expanding and melting. It wasn't just one model. It was Galaxy's and flip phones, etc. Nope, I am sticking with my old dependable and will probably get an iPhone 16 if they finally have their stackable batteries and get rid of the dynamic island.

As a 10+ year Android/Pixel user, I finally switched to the iPhone 13 Pro Max two months ago mainly for the same reasons you mentioned in this video. At first, it was very weird adjusting to iOS and it did bug me with doing things in a "different" way. Here are some of the reasons why I made the switch and some of the gripes I have with using an iPhone:
    1. The Pixel 6 Pro battery life was horrible, even after getting the phone replaced by Google support, I would have to recharge in the afternoon on light to medium use.
    2. Pixel 6 Pro would stop charging wirelessly even on Pixel stand gen 2. Got a replacement from Google and still had the same issue. Phones would overheat.
    3. Calls made from Pixel 6 Pro would always not go through the first time so I would have to redial. Same with when someone called me, they would have to call me multiple times. I tried turning off wifi calling and still the same problem. Did not have this issue with my Pixel 4, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel XL
    4. Android 12 and 13 bugs in general seem to have gotten worse over time
    5. No consistent cohesiveness with Google app design language
    6. Not as good of an integration between Google devices; no official tablet, no official watch (at least for now). Apple integrates Mac, watch, tablet, and TV better.
    7. Side note, Google Chromecast 4K also very slow, buggy, sluggish, and crashes; which I would use my Pixel to cast to
    8. Messaging is better on iPhone, no question about that
Annoying things with the iPhone I experienced:
    1. You can only change the default apps for browser, mail, and maps (at least that's what I discovered).
    2. Apple music will keep taking over and auto playing with no good way of disabling it. I ended up deleting the app so I can use TH-cam Music instead
    3. No casting :(
    4. No call screening and no option to archive messages
    5. Siri not as good compared to Google Assistance, especially with voice dictation and recognition.
    6. Notifications are slightly better on Android, but iOS has improved
    7. To get the most out of the experience, you really need to be in the Apple ecosystem
I'm sure there are more things I have that I can't think of and don't want to rant too much. So far I have not regretted switching to an iPhone due to it being more stable, longer battery life, better messaging and integration with other Apple devices.
Would be happy to answer any questions and comments.

Bro, you get the award for the most effort in the comments 👏👏👏👏👏
This is a really great list. I think what you've listed really shows some really significant differences between the two in the areas that they lack. One side, it shows issues for the basic foundational use cases for a phone that prevent you from using it as it should be used, the other mostly has to do with quirks, preferences, or areas that still work but may not be as nice.

I just switched and the biggest things that I have complaints are about the lack of an actual consistent back button I know it seems crazy but it's true I was using a Google pixel 6 with Swype and loved it. another crazy thing is the ringer volume and the alarm volume are still tied together after all these years there's no independent adjustment. That being said I will too miss the call screening from the pixel, but the iPhone UI, the fit and finish and the face unlock that is absolutely almost so fast and good that you don't even notice it's doing it is amazing.

This video summarizes a lot of my frustrations. I'm on Android + self-built PC and I'm thinking of switching completely over to Apple for my work. My phone experience can occasionally be frustrating. My PC is blue screening because of premiere and I've looked through logs, stressed tested my hardware. I just want things to work and it seems more often than not that happens with Apple and I just have to give up some freedom and customization to do so.

Bingo! There's a threshold when you're trying to be productive and get things done without the stress of all of these variables and issues. I'd rather have less flexibility if it works and I don't have to worry about it as often. Plus, if it's for work, trying to fix stuff is time spent and $$$ or personal time lost.

Hey Brandon, I'm in the same camp as you. As a tech-lover, I have iphone 11 pro, S21 ultra and Google Pixel 6 Pro that I'm using right now. Every single time that I take the phones back out to test and play with, I come across a few things that are dealbreakers to switching.
    1. Google Pixel selfies are the most skin-tone accurate, and flattering. Samsung and iPhones new phones all oversharpen the skin and it's really unflattering and gross tbh.
    2. I really don't like not being able to set Google photos as my default album. You're basically locked into the Apple ecosystem if you switch. Everyone on the iPhone has a photo album that is super cluttered. There are no good ways to organize photos unless you want to go through them all one by one.
    3. I use "Hey Google, take a selfie" and on the Pixel 6 series I don't have to follow up with Hey Google, take a selfie. I can just say it again right after it snaps the shot and it will take another one. I can do this for a string of selfies and it's the closest thing to having a photographer when you have a flexible detachable stand like Lookstand. Sadly, Siri doesn't even understand "Take a selfie", I'm serious... try it.

My biggest gripe in a mature smartphone market is that we can't we have flagship-grade hardware in a smaller form factor. Having upgraded to the P6P from an iPhone 7, I never realized how much I prefer the smaller phone size for daily use. It's great for consuming video content, but not much else. I don't want to go back THAT far in size, I just want a happy middle ground.

So I switched to the Note 10 and never looked back. I am now a happy S21 Ultra owner and love the cameras and video quality and features.
The iphone is always a bit of a temptation but I need to be able to change things up every so often and Samsung has so many cheesy bells and whistles that I love to mess around and change my user experience. This reminds me of when I switched to iPhone last year.
I was a diehard fan of Android for like a decade. I mocked Apple at every opportunity I got.
But while I was doing that, I was also experiencing weird issues on my Android phones all the time.
I won’t name each device specifically, but here’s how my experience with my last few Android devices was:
    1. My earpiece’s volume was too darn low. So low that it was impossible to attend calls anywhere other than a pitch silent room. It was a known software glitch, and I never got a fix.
    2. My phone used to hang a few times per day. The touch simply stopped responding. I had to lock and unlock the phone for it to work again.
    3. My in-display fingerprint scanner completely stopped working. Even the option for FP scanner disappeared from the Settinhs app.
Then, in 2021, I switched to a 2018 iPhone XS max because I got a good deal for a used one. I just wanted to try it. And for the first time in years, I could rely on this thing. It was a phone I trusted, even though it was 3 years old when I got it.
I’ve been sticking with iPhones since then.
Nowadays, I have two phones. An iPhone 13 Pro as my main phone, and a Pixel 6 Pro as my secondary phone. And even now, I trust the iPhone much more.

I switched over to iPhone 14 Pro max from s21 ultra. Moved to android after iPhone 7 and now back to . iP7 > Pixel 2xl > Note 10+ > S21 ultra > iP14 PM. Android has been good and was excellent for customisation, direct downloads and larger vibrant screens. But moving back to iPhone now, the overall experience seems more polished and neat. Miss the customisation options, but happier overall with build quality and performance. Samsung have a lot of options but you don’t use them a lot after initial interest with the feature.

  • @AndrewHahaLee
    @AndrewHahaLee 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

I've been wanting to switch and try out the iPhone for the past 2yrs, but Apple just seems to be really good at not giving me a reason to - considering I can only afford the entry level option. Sure, the Pros are great and they're the ones Apple want you to have. But for a similar priced Pixel 6 Pro as Apple's entry level, I already have so much more with my Pixel that any upgrade to Apple's entry level will always be a downgrade for me: 1440p120 display, good triple cameras, decently good battery (and charging speed, though Google needs to step up their game), file transfer versatility because of USB C, and also the availability of 3rd party apps to do, *ahem, 3rd party things. Being able to try out new features is also fun and refreshing.
I'm not a vlogger, so superior video on the iPhone is nice to have, but not a must. I have my own editing style for my photos, so either phone works for me, though Pixel gives me more detail and range, I just tune my photos accordingly anyway. I will acknowledge that apps on IOS are superior, and privacy on IOS is my go-to standard.
The things that are making me leave Android however, are Google's unresponsiveness, slack in confronting issues, and inconsistency in their updates/features. Also, specifically on the P6 Pro, the fingerprint reader. It's a "small thing", yet because of how frequently we engage with the FP reader, the failure rate hits you more frequently than an unresponsive app.

I’ve followed your channel for the longest time, used pixel 2 all the way to P6. Felt the same way as you do totally and changed to IP13 few months ago. U know what? I can’t see myself changing back to android anytime soon, little or no incentive to do that. Sure, there are some little things that android is better e.g gesture control, notifications management. But by far and large, iPhone has value added my life more so far. It’s a phone that works and give little or no issues.

Hey Brandon, love the video as always. But seriously just by the pixel 7P like the rest of us, apple haven way too many compromises still (lightning, cameras etc). Maybe in 3 or 4 years they’ll be worth a look but for now their closed system is just too restrictive for anyone that loves to tinker

    • @ThisIsTechToday
      @ThisIsTechToday  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I get both every year and use both at the same time. I don’t blindly choose devices. The issues of restriction is far less cumbersome than a phone that doesn’t do the foundational things well but are buggy.
As mentioned in the video, I don’t care about tinkering anymore. I want a phone that just works. It’s more of a tool for me more than a toy. It’s okay if you want something different, but when the phone I use gets in the way of me being able to do my job, it becomes a serious issue.

As a former iPhone user who became a Pixel purist who was forced to use a Samsung after the last few disappointing Pixel releases, I am inclined to agree. I just got an iPhone 13 Pro a few weeks ago (got lucky and scored it for $430 mint cuz the seller thought it was blacklisted when it wasn't). I figured it'd work great with the eco system of my new 16" MacBook Pro that I got for work.
I am not big on Apple's marketing practices nor some of the lack of Android-like features that just make life simpler, but some of the stuff you've outlined is the reason I'm willing to make the switch this gen (especially battery and honestly better camera in my case since I'm dark skinned, Samsung is wayyyy worse than iPhone). When Apple finally drops a new feature it works flawlessly and they're encroaching steadily in that Android space while Android struggles to iron out its kinks. I am still rocking a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra as my main while I get use to iPhone again. It's always a learning curve switching.
In general though I feel like unfortunately we're in a two phone era. The two OSes are just philosophically different and both have features that make life 100 times easier depending on what your shifting needs are. I will probably just switch between the two for a while until I find that perfect phone. Pixel 7 is close but I just need a little more pep in the tech to be fully sold.

I made the switch last year.. to an iPhone 13 Pro Max, and I never looked back. I've been an Android user since the start, but lately iPhone is just better... especially the battery life on Pro Max, it's crazy... I never have to worry about the battery. Since then, I have bought more and more Apple products, slowly getting into the ecosystem.. that could be a good thing, also a bad thing.. but so far I'm really happy with my Apple Products.
The only thing I miss on my Google Pixel 6 Pro is their spam call detection, since the switch to iPhone, I've been getting a lot of spam calls and messages, which is quite annoying. I've never gotten a single spam call/message when I was on my Pixel.

I know Costco gives you 90 days to return an iPhone. Also Amazon refurbished I think gives you 90 days as well. So iOS seems to be user unfriendly in certain situations. For example, every app that you put on your home screen must start at the top of the screen. So even if you only have four apps on your home screen, you cannot put them at the bottom. Not including the four main ones at the bottom. Also, to get to control center/menu, you have to swipe down from the top right, again making you use two hands to do something that you should be able to do easily like on Android. Also, navigation is much easier on Android especially with back gestures. IOS has a back button on the top left corner and you could also swipe right to go to the last screen. Notifications is hard to describe, but it's much easier on Android, I don't even use notification center on iOS. By the way, I'm an 11-year iOS user and also have a pixel 6A.

      @ThisIsTechToday  ปีที่แล้ว +2

Yeah, google apps are better which is nuts. The home screen customization isn’t that big of a deal IMO. You can still customize it a lot. It takes some work just like how you have to find a launcher to get what you want on android.
Notifications are honestly the worst part, arguably more than the lack of usb-c. I miss so many notifications with their new setup simply because they don’t have a persisting notification bar like on android and they bundle them into groups AND NOW they hide it from the Home Screen where you have to swipe up to see all of them. Android on the other hand shows you literally everything and has a ton of persisting notification icons in the top bar.

My first experience with an iPhone was with an iPhone 4s that was given to me at work. The hardware was beautiful, and Apple continues to make sleek looking phones. iOS on the other hand was annoying, and painful to use. My first personal iPhone was the 6s which was gifted to me. I ended up trading that in with very minimal use for an iPhone 8 plus, traded that in with minimal use for an iPhone Xs, and finally traded that in for an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I continuously kept an iPhone with me because I was hopeful that iOS would have improved the simplest things to make me use my iPhone as a "daily driver". Nope! Have you ever heard of T9 dialing? It's been around forever, but that's not a thing on an iPhone. Gestures, especially the basic back gestures are non existent. Let's not even talk about how there are settings inside settings. Notifications? A hot mess. Again, I really like Apple's hardware, but iOS is the worst. I'll probably trade in my 13PM for a USB-C touting one when the time comes. Hopefully, Apple would have figured out how to properly do notification or even fix gestures. I won't hold my breath though giving that the iPhone 4s was announced in 2011, and the annoyances that kept me from using my iPhones daily back then still exist.

If you don’t own another Apple device like a Mac and have a windows or Linux machine the iPhone is the worst device you can have. I switched to an iPhone two years ago amd regret until this day. Transferring pictures from you windows or Linux machine is impossible. iPhone have been using the same UI since forever. No USB-C. There is no way to use split screen with the iPhone, i was used to use two different apps at the same time, I could watch a TH-cam video and play a game at the same time, something I can’t do anymore on the iPhone and it’s really annoying. Widgets are so basic and you can’t interact with them. Customization is shit on the iPhone. Honestly, there is no right answer & I think it depends on what you value and what's important to you on whether Apple or Android is better. I used the original iPhone to the 4S, and I just felt like they weren't doing any type of innovation/significant change. But recently my dad got an iPhone 15 Pro Max, so I got to takeover his iPhone 12 Pro Max. The time with it has just reinforced what I think the pros/cons of each:
The pros for Android is rhe customization, being able to have 5-6 icons in a row, clicking/dragging music/movies from my external hard drive and putting it onto my phone. It is just a lot EASIER on Android, then it is on an iPhone. Also as a guy who has multiple Line, FB, etc accounts its easier on Android bc I can do dual apps etc. Charging is another area where Android is because you can supercharge your phone a lot faster. Android also comes in more variety of sizes and now with foldables, there is just more out there.
For iPhones, I myself like the haptic feedback when typing as well as the sounds that you hear when sending/receiving messages/notifications etc. I would also say that iPhones look/feel premium and the resale value is CRAZY when compared to Android which decreases in price from day 1. Other people would bring up Facetime, iMessage, Air Drop and the Apple Ecosystem, but I don't have a Mac, iPad etc so this doesn't apply to me.
Anyways, at the end of the day, it just depends on what makes you happy❤

I've been considering making the switch from Android to iPhone really for one reason and that is video quality on the iPhone simply blows away the best that I can get on my Galaxy S22 Ultra. They're not even in the same league. For still photos, Samsung is great, so is iPhone, unless they're side by side I couldn't tell the difference and even side by side, its a matter of personal preference, but when it comes to video quality, Samsung just falls flat. Also, accessory compatibility is much better with iPhone (e.g. DJI Osmo Mobile 6 gimble essentially doesn't work with the S22 Ultra).
I've been an Android guy since the very first Motorola Droid, I have tried iOS a couple of times, once with a company issued phone that I really only used for work, and a couple of years later (iPhone 6 I think) I switched for about six months but ultimately couldn't take it and switched back.
Until recently I have LOVED my S22 Ultra. I have literally NEVER experienced any glitching, freezing, bugs etc with the S22 Ultra. My gripes with the phone are: curved screen (like can we just not do that any more?) video quality, and size (I would prefer a smaller phone that didn't sacrifice performance). And lack of accessories for video creators (e.g. Moment cases with clip on lenses and filters, gimbal support etc.)
I will consider the iPhone 15 Pro IF it has USB C. No USB C is a deal killer for me.
Other iOS hesitations: Notifications, default app limitations, I am not in the Apple ecosystem (iPhone would be my only Apple device--I have no interest in or use for air drop, iMessage, iCloud, iAnyThingElse)

Apple: sell you a product, therefore execution, interconnectivity and experience are paramount.
Google: make their revenue from ads thereby leaving many feeling like they're in an active/perpetual beta program - hence the old saying "You ARE the product".
I haven't been experiencing bugs on my Pixel 6 Pro and keeping the above in mind I'm opting to stick with Google, for now lol.

I have used both iOS and Android, with the last 7 years with Android because of the lack of innovation of Apple at the time. Today, I dont really care that kuch on the differences between Android Phones and iPhones as they're reaching some point of "singularity" where most of the swevices and apps i used on both ecosystems are starting to feel the same.

Interesting how we all tend to think the grass is greener on the other side!
My good friend actually got the iphone 14 pro and has been a loyal apple user for since the iphone 4 making a few upgrades here and there like like the 13 regular. He actually told me the dinamic island is not that innovative and wants to try something new.. so im ordering the nothing phone 1 for him and he'll give me his 14 pro to give to my wife. He is inlove with the Tron movies. lol He hated all the apple watches because of the battery life.
My older brother is the opposite: He is an nexus/pixel guy having owned almost all of them, but he did own some of the earlier iphones. He tried a iphone 13 mini and he said he didnt like it. and went back to pixels. My brother was drawn to apple from the fustrations of other iMessege coworkers and friends regarding media transfer. I asked him why he didnt get a bigger iphone instead and he said he just wanted a smaller one handed phone he can take with him. But conversely enough, he got the pixel 6 pro. lol. He also enjoys the pictures on the pixels moreso and i guess he didnt like the iphone. He was always able to afford the best phone and goes through a lot of tech gadgets. Right now he just uses a pixel 6 pro, pixel buds somthing, ipad pro, macbook pro, and whithigs watch. He works in graphic design.
My wife had lower end android phones in the past and just uses a iphone 11 now. Since she wants to work more in social media marketing shes probably gonna stick with iphone. She also has an ipad pro 11, applewatch 7, and airpods.
As for myself, the first truly smartphone ive had was the HTC Evo 4g. For those that remember when carriers charged an extra 10 to 20 dollars for using an iphone, I was put off buying one. Ive jumped arround to different nexus/pixel devices, oneplus 6t, and now recently the past 2 notes and S22ultra. I allways going for the bigger and better screen tech when it came to upgrading. The only time i considered seriously switching to the iphone was with the 13 pro max since they now have the 120 hz oled. It is important for me because lcd tablet and phone screens give me eye strain. I dont want to have to wear bluelight glasses all the time (athough it really helps). I got the ipad pro 11 and gave it to my wife because i didnt like the screen. Now i have a Galaxywatch 5, Tab s7 +, Galaxy buds 2pro, tab S6, and S22 ultra. I work in property management/real estate (and i want to develop myeslf in construction later) and it is nice to have a consistent experience acros all my devices. The spens i dont use too much but it is really handy when you really need to write on documents. For those looking for more from google pixel products, i recommend doubling down on samsung. You can always find discounts on their devices, and i really feel like i get my moneys worth. You just have to be smart turning off the excessive features you dont need, cus they throw you the kitchen sink. I really enjoy the goodlock app on the samsung tablets and phones because you can customize a lot of things to your liking and it works consistently through all my samsung tablets and phones. Also, when you upgrade, the samsung smartswitch app does import a lot of the same settings to your new device in goodlock (but not all).
I think Im lucky, cus if i have fomo of apple stuff, I just pick up my wifes stuff. lol
And about lag: my phone does lag sometimes too and so does my wifes iphone, even when she first got it. We just learned to turn on and off airplaine mode to refresh the connections to wifi/cellular data, clear apps, and memory; and one or more of them ususally does it. In rare cases, restarting.
Side tangent: Im giving my wife my 'older' hp spectre 4k 15 inch touch laptop that i bought like 6 years ago thats still running great, which was $1,400. It was the first of its kind. So im in the market for a new laptop. So the best ones i can find for my needs are the Asus zenbook 15.6 oled touch 2.8k 120hz ($1,400) or the hp spectre 16 oled touch 4k 60hz($1600-2k). I want the 120hz cus it really is the future of screens but the asus is only about 3k resolution, which is less than my current laptop. So now Im just waiting for that magical laptop of 15-16 inches oled 4k 120hz touch laptop thats portable (not gaming) to appear. CES 2023!
Sorry for the long post. Hope this was useful to somebody. Keep up the conversation so we can all learn for the better.🤓👍

I done this. I switched from Samsung a71 ( which is an ok phone ) to iPhone 14. I love android but there were things bugging me on it and when I went to phone store near me, I wasn’t overally impressed with the s22. I loved the ultra but it just wasn’t viable for what I do for a living and I wanted a smaller screen for ease on the palm of my hand. Never thought I’d pick up an iPhone and realise how easy it is to the hand. So I went for it and coming from a 6.7inch screen to a 6.1 inch screen was so much nicer. I love big screens but my phone is a quick device. A quick text and answer phone and WhatsApp for work. I’m pretty impressed so far with my new phone and the switch was easier than I thought. I think the phone is just beautifully made compared to the s22 as well. That being said, my other devices are staying android so I can carry on what I had on my Samsung phone.

I switched to the iPhone 14pro max this year because of the pixel 6. I’ve always used android since the galaxy nexus. The pixel 6 worked for me wonderfully right out of the box, I experienced none of the issues that were being reported but with every update came a new bug and the phone became unusable

I switched to iphone, for the very first time. Context: Been a galaxy user and pixel user for a long time. Last 3 phones, Note 9, Note 20 Ultra and Zfold3(didnt sell this one though). I like ios but not a fan boy, only reason for the switch, App optimizations are still not a thing for foldables, after 3 years of folding phones. Apps, cna be glitchy, standby time is kinda bad. I wanted some phone that was Consistent with apps, with good quality, less crashes or bugs, and decent infrasturcture. Example You can add boarding passes to wallet app..(my indian zfold 3 unit cant), sure there are apps to do it, but why. So it came down to Integration, consistency and cohesiveness how companies work together to bring apps to iphone faster than android. Fun fact MS Teams works better on Mac than Windows with less crashes.. whattt.. so yea, got the 14 pro. So far didnt regret it. Still love android for manyy ways, no hate for android ever. I have accepted the duality of both OS’s 😊

Yes that's what is actually give me doubts of buying the pixel 8 pro. The cameras... If you're not white those cameras show a weird version in the pictures taken. I might go for the z fold 5.

Bro! Sounds like you should get a Samsung! One UI has the refined-look and a lot of the conveniences of iOS but offers more freedom like Android! The S23 line doesn’t seem to have the heat and battery-drain issues that the S22 series had.

I have been an avid android user for years and switched to an iPhone about a year ago and while there are things I love about my iPhone more then my old android my biggest issues with my iPhone are more about call issues such as horrible cell reception compared to my android phones I had on the same carrier. I have tons of problems with my iPhone calls are plagued with audio issues that are staticky and cause major issues hearing it is to the point that I am ready to switch phones and carriers but all my samsung galaxy phones seemed to have more and more issues with each years model which is why I switched to apple also for the privacy and security features on apple at that time as those are important factors to me

  • @cwaicwai821

I just want a phone that works from the jump and I can customise aesthetically. With great audio, display and genuinely gives me a smooth experience. All these high end specs don't mean as much if the hands on experience isn't good. I have a MacBook and I absolutely adore it, but I hate how isolated it feels from my phone and computer. So if I could find a way to make macOS, windows & android run smoother I'd be really happy. Also, applications run so much smoother on iOS and macOS, apple podcasts and Apple Music are the main reasons I have for wanting to switch to an iPhone. But to be honest, the Galaxy Z flip 4 seems to be the phone that has caught my attention for convince. But as a long term phone, I am considering iPhone.

I think Apple AOD is so ridiculous that they didn't understand the point of AOD at all. It is ever distracting, it seems... It is not to be always on but to provide a glance of info; that is what I thought was the point of AOD.

You got to use what you like. As long as your not one of the ones that’s only doing it to grow your channel because these apple channels are more successful. Hate when I see that, use it if that’s what you enjoy.
I use both pixel and iPhone and love both. Although got to say at the moment my pixel is running perfectly. So is my iPhone other than a lot of battery drain which I’m thinking might be iOS 16 but who knows.

If you look into the centre of an Apple product it's hard to deny that although undeniably beautifully detailed, Apple ultimately want you to throw ihe thing away, rather than fix or upgrade it, before buying their next model & filling it with software from their highly lucrative store, thus increasing their already stratospheric income stream-
I find the Framework/ Fairphone/ fdroid/ GNU/ linux open source/ model far more inclusive, interesting, imaginative and ultimately desirable.
All of this aside, it could be said that the sub hundred buck smartphone (obviously not by Apple) had a far greater impact on more people around the world, in much the same way as The Ford Model T (?/discuss)

I've been on Android since 2010, aside from 2 year break on iOS. And for the last 3 years, I've been trying to switch to iOS, to get access to iMessage with the rest of my family, but keep getting roped into sticking with Android due to really cheap upgrades using the pixel a series phones. I went from Pixel 3 to pixel 4a, to pixel 6a. And over the last 3-4 years, I think I've only spent about $300 total for those phones due to various upgrade deals and trade in offers. And the 6a I have now will likely last me another 2 years.
I think this is where Android has an edge over iPhone, the low to midrange devices that have 80% of the features of the high end flagships. iPhone se is cheap, but you'll never convince me to get that over a pixel 6a
Ultimately, both Android and iOS are mature at this point, and you will get a good enough experience with either. Switching is mostly a minor annoyance of getting used to a few changes.
Though, I am toying with the idea of going with an iPhone 13 mini. Even the Pixel 6a is starting to feel uncomfortabley large to use.

    • @hhhmmmmmmmm
      @hhhmmmmmmmm ปีที่แล้ว

Exactly. The value is in the 6a. I'm an 11 year iOS user. I got the 13 mini on sale for $550 at Costco in August. Great phone. Got the 6a with my 4a trade for $150. Feel like I'm at my smartphone peak. Lol. Seems like they finally fixed the fingerprint sensor on the 6A but my battery life is not great. Pixel is more fun to use but my 13 mini has been absolutely flawless and much more one-handed friendly.

I have an Iphone 11 pro max and ussualy i switch from iphone to android and back so I have the feeling that I really do have a new phone. So I bought the S22 Ultra and absolutely hated it. The first one was broken. The top speaker was broken so I didnt hear phonecalls. I got a new one and it was really terrible. Laggy, worse batterylife than my 3 year old iphone, bugs and crashes and slower in response to. And like you said in the video just boring visuals. I paid 1100 euros and felt like going 4 steps backwards. Not going to android anytime soon. I returned the phone twice.
