- Quit Stalin and watch as Cody reviews this game based on the Russian Revolution from Thunderworks Games. Will it establish a new order on your game shelf? Or will it just be put up against the wall? Let's watch!

I am glad that you are back, sir! nice video! keep up the good work!
Thanks. Great to be back.
I must be going blind and stupid, because I spent more than a few seconds wondering why the will of the people piece was a T-Rex.
Game looks neat!
Ha! I thought the same thing!
And now I can't unsee it. 😅
Finally the revolution hits the tabletop!
Ha!
Thanks mate
You're welcome!
I've been eyeing it since the Kickstarter and am intrigued by the theme. Thanks for the review! I'll have to check out Ft Sumter as well. Don't worry, I believe in life after love. At least that's what Cher told me.
Do you have a fan going or something? Listening with ear buds, it sounds like there's wind blowing through the room.
Thanks. It was really windy that day and the wind blasts through my door. I would have postponed recording but I didn't know when I was going to get another chance so I figured I'd get it done and suffer the consequences.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer No worries, it's not terribly noticable. I just was trying to figure out if I was losing my mind or if I was legitimately hearing something faintly. :). I had to concentrate to really hear it.
Wow, that must have been a windy day, sir.
As I recall, it was.
1:32 Of course I knew. Do you think I'm an idiot sir?
Ha!
So if my opponent takes too long in this game can I yell.....Quit Stalin! ? Hahahahahahahaha sorry.
Now you're catchin' on!
To me, the game board is too bright. Why not a more thematic game board, designed using posters of the era, or sepia photos? PS, sorry you lost to Brian--that Trotskyite!
Actually, I was the Bolsheviks. ;(
this game offers the opportunity to fight on the Bolsheviks side, or the conservative socialists side? Well, It's apparent who's publishing these boardgames, isn't it? Challenge: find me a boardgame which permits me to cripple Bolshevism in its infancy, or even to defeat them in the Russian civil war (and please don't reference Triumph of Chaos). This game and others (ie Soviet Dawn) should include the option of fighting on the Czar side and/or anti socialists. However, these games are made by Communists, for Communists.
I am a history professor, and I always make it a point teach my students of the horrors of Communism. It was an evil system that murdered hundreds of millions in the 20th century. Still, to suggest that this game is somehow pro-Communist propaganda is a stretch. It is a game that takes an interesting historical theme and makes it a fun game. I play many wargames as Germany in WWII. I do not for a moment believe that the publishers are Nazis producing games for Nazis, nor do I have any sympathy for the wretched Nazi system. I think you are reading far too much into this.
There are communist gamers out there, so you can keep your pseudo-political ramblings to yourself
